We had our second visit to Grizzly Rock yesterday, and after that, we definitely won't be coming back. Â Our waitress (a petite brunette in her 20s) pretty much ignored us after our food came. Â She never refilled our drinks and never asked if we needed anything else and if our food was good. Â She basically took our order, brought our drinks and food, and didn't come back until our check was ready and took quite a while even picking up our payment. Â She was the only waitress working buuuuut, when we got there there was only ONE diner and when we left there were TWO other tables of diners. Â I've seen lone waitresses handle much more and give far better service. Â I don't understand WHY it's SO HARD to find GOOD service these days. Â And it's NOT just in the valley, it's all across the country!
Aside from the poor service, the food was paltry. Â When she brought my biscuits and gravy out, I thought it was a child's plate. Â The food was good, but only half of the amount of ANY OTHER RESTAURANT I'VE EVER BEEN TO. Â This is always a filling dish and yet I left there STILL HUNGRY. Â WTF? Â I guess you have to order something with "trucker", "man", or "grizzly" in the name in order to get a decent sized portion. Â My husband also did a double take when she brought his eggs, bacon and toast out. Â I mean really, how hard is it to eff up breakfast? Â Plus, these aren't exactly expensive or hard to cook items, especially biscuits and gravy -- CHEAP TO MAKE! Â
This place made me wish that we'd eaten at the nearby Waffle House....or Burger King .... or McDonalds..... we would've had better service, better food, and left fulfilled, which is not what our experience was at the Grizzly Rock.
Yes, AVOID!!! Â Unless of course you like kid-size meals and poor treatment from a snobby valley girl.
