Grog Bar

My husband and I visited during the day on a weekend, and it was HOT, so the ice cold beer was a real treat!  The bartenders (sorry I don't remember their names, but it was two guys on a Saturday day shift the last weekend of July) were super nice to everyone, not just to us.  
We have been to this location before, a few years back and it was something else, it was fun, but the staff was all super rude, so it was nice to have a pleasant experience.
We ordered food from the "short " menu and it was not very good.  The shrimp and skewered veggies were extremely under-cooked, as well as under-seasoned.   My husband ordered a chicken sandwich that was a little, no a lot, on the pink side.  We didn't complain because we didn't want to be "those people". :) I am sure if the service was as bad as the food we might have sent it back, but our service was great!   We also just wanted to enjoy our day, and ended up just sticking to a liquid diet.  
I recommend this place for the atmosphere and drinks, but as far as the food...it's a no.  We are spending another weekend in Rockport this weekend and we can't wait for the cold beer...and maybe a shot or two!
