Sugar Shack

fun every night of the week! it's a must on friday and saturday night!

Loved the sugar shack! Went there two nights in a row.. Got a cool indoor as well as semi outdoor and then outdoor area. Good cheap drinks. They had a pretty interesting act on saturday.. I forgot the guys name .. chase something or other..but, he sings some of the same songs (his fav is from true blood) like 3 times, does some semi sexy mexican jumping bean thing on a ladder, and also sets fire to his pants. (well, really he just sticks a lighter in his pants and turns it on.. but, the women went wild!) He looked pretty damn gay, sounded like he was good enough for broadway, and had more costume changes than Britney spears but, put on a nice show and even kissed a lady in the crowd.  Apparently this guy is a "big deal" around Rockport. I am getting off of topic.... Nice staff, respectful patrons (no butt grabbing here!), good outdoor area, good drinks. I would def go again!
P.S. One of the owners even drove us home after our cab never showed!

Sugar Shack ain't fancy, but they serve cold beer cheap and have a decent band on Saturday nights. Crowded and smoky inside, plenty of space out back.

If you're looking for a no-frills drink after a long day of fishing the salt flats, or just somewhere to go after Alice Fay's closes, this is the place.
