Hachi Express

The food was good but a little bland.  It was out quick.  Service was quick to take our orders but extremely slow to refill a drink or check up on us later.  The price wasn't bad.  The carrots were like they came out of can, just not what goes with hibachi.  It's better than the other cheep alternative in town, but I don't think I'll be going back.

This is the best hibachi anywhere near or around Clemson.  It's in Central, but it's worth the extra couple miles for sure!  The food is always hot and fresh (even the rice, I'm pretty picky about fried rice) and the prices are more reasonable than Osaka.  They even offer a student discount! Only thing to beware - they are closed on Monday (and I always seem to want it Monday!)

This place is brand new in Central and it was recently reviewed in the Tiger!  As far as hibachi goes, this place is really delicious!  As most Clemsonians know, Osaka express is usually the go-to place for hibachi, but I think Hachi could definitely give them a run for their money!

The portions are huge and for the usual hibachi price of $6/7ish dollars.  I would say the portions are slightly bigger than Osaka.  The menus are pretty much the same at both place (there might be a few more things at Hachi though).  The meat was great, sauteed vegetables were delicious and tasted very fresh (especially the tender mushrooms)!   The yumyum sauce (a must have at hibachi) was also really great!  No complaints (:  

The best part about this place is they have a DRIVE-THRU!
