Food was ok....will be back for second test

Some of the food was pretty tasty, I give it 3 stars because our server was not on top of things. Party of 4, our calamri had no lemons, wings were ok, my steak was cooked medium when I asked for well done, that goes for another person at my table. I mentioned to the server that we had a birthday and he didn't bother to offer a cake. The busboy eneded up offering cake, I mean we didn't ask for any freebies, $271 dollars later I ended up leaving only a %12 tip. Yea well I had to, there were only 2 other tables the whole time. I might come back, not sure.

If I could give them zero stars, I would.

We were staying at the attached Radisson for an upcoming wedding and the rehearsal dinner was held here.  First, the announcement for the rehearsal dinner at the hotel stated it was from 6:15-10 am, even though our dinner was supposed to be at 7, leaving guests terribly confused. Service was okay when we got our salads in the beginning and then it all fell apart.

They were bringing out iced tea and a server slipped a little and spilled his tray. Half of it spilling on the back of the best man. He did not apologize. Instead he ran away with the tray and they came back to clean the floor. Still no apology. Best man left to change and only after that did someone else bring one napkin for him to use to wipe off. There was an extra guest that RSVPed late so the mother of the bride called ahead to let them know, but they still didn't make enough plates. Since the best man had left to change, they did not put food at his spot. When he came back, we waited and waited and waited for him to get his food and it never came. The bride to be and her mother had to walk into the kitchen to find out what the heck was going on. He got his meal maybe 20 minutes (possibly more) than everyone else! And he never did get that apology for having a ton of tea spilled on him and his jacket.

A majority of us had also gotten prime rib and we weren't given any steak knives until maybe 15 minutes after we had gotten our food so we were trying to eat our meat with butter knives.

The food itself was barely okay. The salad is salad. Nothing amazing. But, the prime rib was covered in a very thick gravy or au jus? It was not your typical au jus, that's for sure. It was also really salty.

I would not come here or recommend it for large dinners. The service was simply awful.

Stayed at the attached Radisson Hotel so I figured it'd be nice to have a steak and relax.  Went in around 5pm and waited about 5 minutes before someone came to the front area to greet me.  Finally a waitress came and sat me in the restaurant where only another couple were eating.  They had just opened so the place was wide open.  I sit down and my server comes up and asks me about beverages, brings me a water and I order a salad and Filet.  Within about 5 minutes my salad comes out which was good.  The server was nice but he was busy with other things in the banquet room.  Then the ceiling above the restaurant started slowly shaking.  Apparently they have a banquet room above the restaurant and the sound came right through.  My server came over and assured me it wasn't an earthquake (no kidding - it was shaking that badly).  It was pretty distracting.  My steak came out and the meat was well below standard.  Chunks of fat in a filet mignon??  My guess would be that they take pieces of other steaks and "glue" them together.  So throughout the dinner I'm staring at the ceiling that is literally vibrating because they had set up a dance floor above the restaurant and a bunch of kids were bouncing around.  This is a Tuesday, by the way.  I couldn't wait to get out of there.  $50 per person for a subpar steak, standard salad, okay service, and vibrating ceiling?  No thanks.

For the money  you spend here, you figure you would get a better steak, but no you get something below average. No, I don't think I would come back here.

Covina's Hidden Gem!  This place has excellent food, great service, and great ambiance. It's a great place for a dinner for two, or a large party. I went there for a family graduation dinner, in the Wine Room. Talk about the "WOW" factor. The restaurant decor is really nice. Really a great place for VIP's, at average Joe prices. Would go back again!

I've lived here forever and this is the first time I tried Hamiltons and boy am I glad we did.  Our server Salvador was exceptional and my meal as well.  I had the petite filet with shrimp, it was perfect like buttah!  We also had the calamari as an apetitzer it was equally as good.  the place is beautiful, now considering it for a gathering.

I had no idea this place existed until someone invited me to celebrate their birthday. The food on the menu sounded amazing so I was looking forward to trying this new place out.

Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the burger I got. It was awfully greasy, however, the fries were pretty good.

Service was spotty and when the manager asked how things were we were honest. We weren't rude about it, but she really gave us some attitude as we shared about the poor service... which there was no excuse for, as we were the only people in the dining room.

Then why give it 3 stars? Because the place has a lot of potential.

I'd give it 4 stars in service was better or orders were correct.

That being said, the food is good and it's nice to have this hidden little gem in the area.

The kobe burgers are well cooked, topped with bacon, and put on a brioche bun. A little greasy, but definitely one of the better burgers I've had.

Crab cakes are good, but know that they've got a little bit of spice. If you can't handle spicy maybe think twice.

    Shrimps are large and delicious.

Hot wings... a little too fried.

Father's Day dinner with the family.  The food was really good.  We went because we had heard the fries were duck fat french fries, which my dad had been wanting to try.  They did not disappoint.  The fries were crispy and full of flavor.  We also each got a salad or soup to start: I got the wilted spinach, which had an amazing dressing; my mom got the spicy carrot soup which had really good flavor; and the wedge salad my dad got was really good too.  For dinner I got the citrus marinated top sirloin.  The meat was cooked perfectly and was not tough or chewy.  The side dishes were both really good.  I tried a bite of my dad's short ribs and risotto and both were tasty, as were the prawns and filet my mom got.  Despite being full, we split a couple desserts.  Unfortunately they didn't have the creme brulee (my all-time favorite dessert).  The chocolate cake thing was good but really rich.  The pear tart was really good, too.  Overall, we had a good meal.  The price is a bit steep but it's ok for a special occasion.

Great dinner with really good steaks and appetizers. The wild boar tenderloin was excellent. Rib eye pretty tasty, lobster and shrimp very good. Appetizers tasted great, charterer plate, tuna carpaccio, fried green tomato's, all very tasty.

The ambiance was nice, and a very friendly wait staff, they provided excellent service.

I don't know if they have new owners or what but I thoroughly enjoyed my kobe beef sliders for $5 and lollipops (chicken wings with a sweet sauce) during happy hour the other day.  It is pricy but you are paying for prime steak not choice.  happy hour is best in the evening and their bar is unreal.... Johnny walker Gold?? hello, WINNING!

unremarkable and flavorless are good words to describe the food.  Burger was un remarkable and the fruit was flavorless/sour.  would not go back.

Terrible for breakfast.  Everything was either flavorless or too salty.  Coffee was not hot and there were only styrofoam cups to put it in.  Staff was very abrupt when we arrived and no one seemed to be roaming around picking up used plates.  Diners chose a table to dump their used wares on.

Probably as good as they say for dinner, but they really failed on the breakfast buffet.  You'd think they'd have some standards.

My wife and I were frequent eaters at Blake's, the restaurant that preceded this one at this location, attached to a Radisson hotel.  With a frequent diner card we could go out for a nice prime rib or filet dinner for about $60.  The food wasn't always very imaginative, but it was pretty consistently good, and the staff was awesome, remembering us, making us feel at home.

Unfortunately, Blake's was replaced by Hamilton's, most of the staff is gone, the prices are up, and the food is unremarkable at best.  The menu and presentation show much more imagination than at Blake's but don't result in a really edible product.  We started with calamari and it came in a martini glass.  One point for imagination in presentation.  But the calamari was extremely greasy and had an odd texture.  It tasted exactly like you would expect calamari to taste at KFC.  Little chewiness, and we could barely even taste the calamari underneath the heavy breading and spices.  It was literally wet with grease.  I continued with a Caesar salad.  Presentation was a little odd, with the pieces of the Caesar spread across the plate: long lettuce leaves surrounded by anchovies and a huge piece of bread.  I suppose I was supposed to cut up the anchovies and mix them in with the dressing, which I really couldn't bring myself to do, but without them the dressing was rather tasteless.  I would never have recognized it as a Caesar dressing had I not been told.  Main course was petite filet with prawns for my wife and salmon for me.  They were okay -- vegetables were great -- but small portions, and not noteworthy in taste.  We finished with a creme brulee which was also okay, but not distinctive.  With tip, the check was $100.  The restaurant was almost empty (on a Saturday night) with just one other couple.  The hostess was very friendly; the server seemed a little inexperienced.  In short, the Radisson has gone from an unimaginative restaurant with pretty good food to an  faux "upscale" restaurant with rather poor food.  I can't imagine going back except to say goodbye to the remaining staff that we will miss.  There are too many other restaurants in this price range with much better food.
