Hanson's Pub

I remember the 'old' hansons. . .the burgers were great and I went expecting the same thing.  OVerall the atmosphere was relaxing on the water and it was  a nice sunset so for the view it's thumbs up.  The food...well the fish bites are not like i remember from before--tasty but not sure what sort of fish it was.  Also got a salad--lettuce/spinach icky and the cheese was bland and not flavorful.  I just expected more overall and i would give them another chance as they just opened.  The wait staff is very young but they were nice enough--overall i'd give it a 2.5

IT's RE-OPENED.

That's right, Hanson's Landing which then became JG Goff's is back to being Hanson's Pub. Whew!

If you're looking for an outdoor waterfront atmosphere that is picturesque and exudes "Perfect RI"- then this is the place! I have heard mixed reviews on the food. From awful to acceptable. Nothing in the "holy crap, we have to come back" area of the scale.

But for a great waterfront location, good live music and decent drinks this place is perfect. Our waitress was super-nice. The live music was fun. Watching cougar-ish woman scope out their prey and dance was awesome! High fives all around! Definitely a must return visit is in order on some Thursday or Friday night to watch the goings on.
