Friendly staff, tasty drinks, great music, good food, pretty art on the walls... Harvest is a home away from home for me. They now have a full liquor license, so add mixed drinks to the beer & wine mix. Food is simple, using fresh ingredients (local as much as they can get them) and well prepared.
Review Source:It's a little pricey, but worth it for a cosy atmosphere, really good food and, the night I was there, terrific music (Chandler Travis Three-O). The seafood charcuterie plate was very good, the raw oysters were terrific and the kale salad was superb. I asked for the housemade kimchi instead of the cheese, thinking they'd put it on the side, but it was sprinkled on top, and it was actually quite the flavor sensation. Sort of strange to get plastic utensils with such refined cuisine, however.
The audience was very convivial, two birthdays in the house and everyone seemed to be in a friendly and celebratory mood. It was more like being invited to a good party than being a customer in a bar.
We went here the other night (a Thursday) around 9:30. The wine & atmosphere was great- as usual. HOWEVER, at 10:02 we attempted to order a plate of antipasto, but were told the kitchen was closed. Nevermind that the kitchen normally closes at midnight; as we were leaving (at 11:30), who comes out from the kitchen with a hot panini and fries for herself? The waitress. Of course. This used to be my favorite place, but after this little incident, I'd rather just go to Pain D'Avignon, or Scargo.
Review Source:This is funny... I wanted to write a review because this is one of my favorite spots to visit when I'm on cape...I was in over the july 4th weekend and it was great! Packed, but same great service and food. Â I'm pretty sure the guy who wrote the "horrible" review was the one who snuck in the back door and was rebuffed by the owner when he tried to move chairs from other places to accommodate him...oh, and there were people waiting in line outside the main door. Guess he was just sad he couldn't enjoy what we all were enjoying! Anyway, this place is really fun, delicious and perfect!
Review Source:Harvest is the kind of place you wish were in your town. Its a place to go and meet friends for an amazing, eclectic glass of wine and some delicious light bites.
As far as vegan goes, they are super accommodating and their salads are amazing!
Live music tops it off, my favorite is any acoustic that is playing. The ambiance so so swanky, you definitely don't feel like you are on the Cape. Its sophisticated and classy and right on the mark.
Harvest is my go to place, every time!
I got dragged out to this place by a friend who wanted to hear the artist that was playing that night. I even had to leave a Sox game early, so you KNOW that was a sacrifice! But how lucky I was!! I do not have much experience with wine bars, not being much of a fan of the grape. But the food here was incredible, the wine actually worth trying and the staff was some of the best that I've had the pleasure to meet. Everyone was really friendly, and the owners were celebrating their 9th wedding anniversary, and we knew this because they were actually on the floor working (or in Michael's case, in the kitchen cooking the food) and the artist "outed them". The decor of this wine bar is mostly small tables, with a few long ones scattered here and there, the walls are covered with art from local talent, and it's a wonderfully cozy and local feel.
My friend and I each started with a glass, blush for him and a Pinot for me. Then we had a cheese plate with one of their featured selections (which changes regularly I was told), of delightfully sharp cheddar, then moved on to the nacho plate with spicy black bean spread. Unfortunately the nacho dish was the only one that really did not impress, there was not that much cheese and the black bean spread really needed a little more kick and salt. However, the tomato and onion salsa was VERY fresh and the chips were awesome. After that, we moved to paninis, a prosciutto for him and a ham for me. No desert because after all of that we were pretty full. I ordered a coffee that I was a little disappointed in, french press coffee should be a little stronger, but I think that they just ground the beans too fine.
The whole ambiance of this bar is incredible, and if all wine bars were like this one then I would probably gain a whole new appreciation of vino, as it is, I'm going to try and make the 1.5 hour drive every time visiting the Hub.
This place offers a wine bar and small plates - literally from soup to nuts - amid art and musical entertainment. Â Open only Thursdays to Sunday. Â We stayed a while and ate a lot, starting with a sampler - soup, nuts, pickled vegs, breads, spreads - then a great arugula salad, then panini, and cheese plate for dessert. Â Had a great bottle of red while a jazz duo entertained. Â Super!
