Horrible customer service!
We booked through a third party and was informed that pets under 25 pounds were free of charge. Arrived at check in and was told they only had 8 pet friendly rooms and they were all booked! Really? How many hundreds of rooms do they have here? The price for our room was $78.00 on a Sunday night. The manager, Alyssa Mendez would not cooperate in any way. She simply stated that she could put us in another room on the "pet floor" (no mention previously of that either) for an additional $75.00. Now I realize the third party we booked though had some incorrect data regarding pets at Harvey's, but they were very apologetic and refunded our money immediately. Harvey's management apparently would rather watch a dissapointed and angry traveler leave their hotel before showing some real customer service. By the way, my dog is 15 pounds of well trained fluff.
I've been coming here for about 10 years and I'm never disappointed. Supreme service begins the second you pull up. Whether it be a warm summer day or a snowy white winter the valet are on you like flies on sh*t, which is a level of service I respect. Bags are brought up to your room at your request and are delivered promptly. Now this is fantastic because if you're like me and you pack bottles that need popping this can be done right away. The front desk is more than helpful and accommodating. Pool is always heated, maybe extra heated in the summer from children relieving themselves but you be the judge. Clean rooms, nice casino layout and fantastic location. Steps away from heavenly gondola and a short drive to local beaches. I choose Harvey's when I come to south Lake Tahoe because it provides the goods!
Review Source:Stayed here 3 nights with friends and had a great time. The room was nice with a great view of the lake and had a huge bathroom. Â The table games had high minimums and slots were just OK...Harrah's across the tunnel were nicer.
My biggest complaint is the extra resort fees $20 per night for what? A crappy pool and fitness center and only wifi for one device per 24 hours. I ended up paying $78.75 in fees because both my friend and I logged into wifi one day....they did not make that clear. Â They said just accept the charges because its an old screen and doesn't mean anything. Just only use one at a time. Â
Next time I will stay at a resort FREE hotel or at least a true Resort worthy of such fees.
I always liked Harvey's but now they charge a $20 resort fee per night plus tax.  We always get 2 rooms for 4 nights so it would cost us $160 in resort  fees.  No way!!!
They always had free valet parking and the pool area is far from resort status.
Next time it's Mont Bleu. Â No extra fees!!!
Arrived here on a Friday. Booked in advanced so when I went to check in, they said they already have our rooms ready. I asked for two joint rooms, non-smoking with a view. I stayed on the 7th floor facing the parking lot with a glimpse of the lake! Not bad!
The amenities fee was $20/night/room, which includes wifi for ONE device. Lame! No wifi in the lobby either.
Harvey's is connected to Harrah's (same owner). I went swimming in their outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi Saturday afternoon. Gradually more people came to sunbathe as the sun came out. Pool was small (5'3"-5'8"). You pass by the fitness center where you can purchase swimsuit and googles as well as get a clean towel.
The front desk told me we could access Harrah's indoor pool during my check in. But when I went to open the gate to the pool, my card wouldn't work. The previous night the gate wasn't locked, so we got in. It was so much nicer! I posted pictures, it actually has a deep end. Much nicer to swim in too. The jacuzzi is cleaner. I would prefer this pool over Harvey's. There's an outdoor area where you can sunbathe too! Unlimited free towels and wifi accessible if you're a Harrah's guest.
I recommend calling to ask for rates, because sometimes the operator can find you a better deal than you can on their website. Their membership card is called TotalRewards which joints with Rio, Caesar's, Paris just to name a few in Las Vegas. So you might be able to see if you have any credit that you can comp.
It was clean and there's free parking. However, Â it's very noisy due to the thin walls when the maids are cleaning. Good luck if you want to sleep in. Also there is a glass bathroom door and the way the mirrors are positioned there leaves little privacy when you need it most. Our room had a terrible floor plan and the window faced a wall which is very disappointing when you're in a hotel right on Lake Tahoe. There are plenty of restaurants nearby since it's centrally located. Harvey's also hosts concert venues and there is a casino on the second floor.
Review Source:Be aware of the cheap little tricks they pull on their tables. For roulette, they stated a $5 minimum, but when you start placing bets they let you know that there is a $25 minimum on the outside bets. I've never seen that before, and its a cheap way of trying to tip the favor to the casino - as if it weren't already.
Review Source:The hotel is GROSS -----
Some staff is RUDE and not in their best shape at 8am.
The parking is DISGUSTING, with a car that is broken into and left abandoned for at least a year (I'll try to post a photo).
The 14th floor REAKES dog urine. (and the whole hotel + casino smells horrible cold smoke and stale food).
2 stars for the fantastic hotel registration staff who found us a great deal at 9pm (109/room). At that price, it's equal in quality to an equally priced cheapo motel - therefore somewhat meeting my expectations.
The plusses: a decent bathroom with great storage. Very comfy mattresses. Views from every room.
ATTENTION BLACKJACK PLAYERS:
Sadly many casinos like Harvey's are robbing players (further) by not paying full on natural blackjack anymore. They are paying 6:5 and not 3:2! Â SPREAD THE WORD: Â AVOID THESE GAMES and hopefully the casino will change them. Â If you keep playing them you lose, and the casino wins (much more). Â Don't play any blackjack table that pays 6:5 on BJ. Â
"In the March 2008 issue of Casino Player magazine, I wrote a detailed column about why the 6-5 single-deck game is bad news for players. Without rehashing all the points that I made back then, let me briefly summarize why this game should be avoided like the plague. The 6-5 payoff rule increases the house edge by almost 1.4 percent (no, that's not a typo). If you're a $10 bettor, playing a 6-5 game will cost you $3 each time you get a blackjack (and you'll average roughly four blackjacks per hour), which comes to $12 that you are forking over to the casino bosses every hour. " -henri tamburin
I asked a casino boss why they have these games with great disappointment in my voice and face and he smirked and said, 'hey as long as people keep playing them, we'd be stupid not to have them." Â He's right! Â
Otherwise I liked Harvey's. Â Had a luxury room with a great view. Â The pool is disappointingly small (but at least they have one I guess. Â
The prevalence of 6:5 blackjack on single deck (my favorite) will likely keep me going to Reno instead. Â Shame.
DON'T PLAY 6:5 payout BLACKJACK!
Spread the word.
Wifey got 2 free rooms at Harvey's. Â We both hadn't stayed at this hotel probably since the late 80's early 90's. Â It used to be super busy and I remember hanging out at the arcade all day while only being picked up for meals. Â Haha.
This brought us back to memory lane. Â The rooms were remodeled. Â Whoever the designer was did a good job. Â The bed was really comfortable but the pillows were absolutely horrible!!! Â I was tossing and turning all night trying to find some lift from the pillows. Â I liked how the toilet was separate from the shower and tub. Â It also had 2 sinks. Â My only issue was that the toilet was super dim...you could barely see in there!
We had a nice view of the mountains and a flat screen tv with quite a few channels. Â
The casino area was extremely quiet and the dealers were just meh. Â I love the ones who have a bit of personality and engage everyone in the games. Â Not so much here...
3 solid stars.
Horrible experience! Â Harvey's was once a world class hotel/casino it is now a clip joint for the ignorant. Â Here is a short list of disappointments: Check in, no mention of the $11 per day added "resort fee" for local calls, wifi, gym and pool. Â none of which we used or needed in May. Â Most ATM machines out of order, Â much of casino floor roped off, no table games under $15 available no matter how slow, no dining after 9:00 except Hard Rock (15 min wait for a table, restaurant was empty) Â $50 for 2 burgers, room service, old TV remote barely worked, room was small, old and no coffee etc...asked to upgrade for more $$ no call back from manager. Â Tried pay per view at $17 per movie all 3 choices listed as "Sold Out" Â how do you sell out of pay per view? Â
No excitement on the casino floor, no bells, no jackpots, all pai gow tables packed yet they will have other tables empty. Â Three $2 roulette table with only 2 people playing total. Â Asked pit boss if they could change the empty one to a $1 table, NO can't do that.
Lastly, do not book your room through priceline. Â You can probably negotiate as good a deal from the Hotel and not be treated like a second class citizen. Â We stayed 2 nights only because I booked in advance through priceline and there were no refunds. Â The hotel made no effort to fix any of the above especially if they already had our money and my card to jack up with resort fees we did not need. Â This used to be a great hotel where the customer came first and you could have a Las Vegas type experience. Â Those days are way gone and I would not stay at Harvey's for free.
Very nice stay. Non-smoking executive king suite was super spacious. Came w/ our 4 year old son and 4 month old daughter. He had a great time. The lakeside/mountain side view was SPECTACULAR! Only to be reviled w/ our Hawaiian honeymoon views!
Was worried about the casino w/ children, but we never had to step foot in it to come in/out of building. The smoke on that floor was bad, and it lingered in our room via air conditioning. But my I have a hyper sensitive nose - my husband couldn't smell it.
We came 2 days after Christmas... but there was no natural snow. The plus was we only paid $99/night for peak season. Con- we had to pay to find man-made snow.
We took the Gondola ride up the mountain w/ the kids from the village across street. Highly recommend- but be warned... If you're afraid of heights this is NOT FOR YOU!!! :) Our son and his friends loved the experience. Beautiful views!
Sidenote: If you're looking for a great breakfast w/ huge portions, try Heidi's a 3-min car ride away.
They've remodeled the rooms since we visited last year! Â Best hotel shower pressure ever. Â Friendly and helpful staff. Â We called for a bellhop, and he was at our door in less than 5 minutes. Â He also had valet pull our car around before we got downstairs. Â Bartenders at the video poker machines are super friendly. Â So were the Blackjack dealers, even though they took my money.
Review Source:Harveys and Harrah's - a match made in... Heavenly? These adjacent hotels are owned by the same parent company and connected by an underground pedestrian tunnel. They're five minutes walking distance to the Heavenly Mountain Resort, which is probably the main reason people stay in the area.
ROOMS:
---------------
If you want a room with a view of the lake, you have to be in either a lakeside hotel or a high-rise hotel. Harveys is closer to the lake than Harrah's and offers different levels of lake views. If you want the best view, go for the executive rooms on the 18th or 19th floor. I had a 10th floor room which offered a pleasant view of the lake that my phone's pictures don't do justice.
The room I shared with a work buddy was spacious and clean and had two queen beds, a rectangular table with a chair, and a circular table with two padded chairs. The padding in those chairs was too soft, which made it hard to sit at a comfortable level to use the table.
What I really enjoyed was the compartmentalized bathroom. The front part of the bathroom had a sink with a large counter and mirror, a small closet, and a small ottoman. Behind a separate door was the toilet, and behind another door was the "actual" bathroom with a bathtub, sink and shower stall. Hate waiting to use the sink while somebody is taking a dump? With this setup, you can avoid all that!
PRICES:
---------------
I don't know exactly how much this luxury room cost, since my company covered it all. But normal weekend prices for this type of room during winter can reach the $200 and even $300 range. Not cheap!
For such a pretty penny, I'd think that the hotel would offer some basic amenities like WiFi and continental breakfast for free. Nope, WiFi is $11 per night and no breakfast or even coffee is provided for free. There are a few cafes on the casino level, and the Sierra Choices Deli offers free unprotected WiFi.
CASINO:
---------------
Because Harveys and Harrah's are right on the Nevada edge of the California-Nevada border, gambling is legal and both hotels have their own casino. Sweet! During our two days here, the casino at Harveys only momentarily had some $5 minimum tables, and the rest of the time, minimums started at $10. Ventilation is poor, so the smell of cigarette smoke fills the air. The smoke situation over at Harrah's is no better.
The main entrance into Harveys will take you through the entire casino, so if you don't want to breathe all that smoke on the way back to your room, head in through the back by the lobby.
OVERALL:
---------------
Not a bad place to stay, but this place feels like it's trying to make every bit of money possible from you. Encouraging people to walk through the smoke-filled casino feels scummy, and the exorbitant WiFi fee makes the already high room prices even less attractive.
My friends and I came to Tahoe for a quick one-day snowboarding trip. Â When we got to our hotel room we discovered that our TV was broken and all we wanted to do was watch a movie, sleep, and wake up and board. Â It looked like someone threw a baseball at the screen. Â So we called the front desk and explained the situation, actually worried that they would think that we broke it. Â They were super awesome and switched our room immediately to a higher floor and a better view of the lake and mountains. Â We then enjoyed an easy night of gambling with very nice dealers at the tables, very quick and attentive cocktail waitresses, and then a restful night sleep watching "This is 40" on our working TV. Â I am definitely a bigger fan of Harvey's than I am of Harrah's. Â I just wish they kept their hot tub and pool open a little bit later than 9pm.
Review Source:This is not anywhere close to a four star hotel.
Now it was not terrible, the rating comes down to expectations vs. reality. We booked through Priceline which listed it as a four star hotel. If we had wanted a two star hotel we would have booked one and paid a good deal less. So, the room was clean as were the bedding and bathroom. Those are minimum requirements. The bad vibes started with the parking garage. It is very run down, zero evidence of maintenance and no signage pointing to elevators, exits or anything else. We registered and got to our room. It was OK but only just above a motel 6. No coffee pot or any other appliances. Not even an easy chair. The dresser and table were quite beaten up and should have been replaced long ago. The bedding, while clean, was old. The mattress too, just not comfortable. The shower had one tile missing and others damaged. Well, the floors were not stained, we did not have raucous stuff going on around us and we did not feel unsafe. I would rate it only a hair above a good motel 6.
I have enjoyed my visits to this hotel and casino. So far I have not had to pay for any of my nights there since I do play in their casino with their player's card. I do not know what the minimum you have to play in order to get free rooms but I gamble moderately and spend about $100-$200 for 2 nights there. They have given me free rooms for 1-2 nights. I have not yet taken my dog to this hotel but they do offer PetStay rooms but they do charge a $100 deposit per night for that. The hotel rooms are very clean and nice. I have stayed in both their higher end rooms which are wonderful and also their normal rooms which are also great. The casino is fun to play at. They have lots of slot machines and also table games. Its a good idea to use their player's card since they will likely reward you with free nights to stay. They do have a game room for children. I'm not sure how much fun it is for the kids though as I do not have kids. I did come here as a teen and we did enjoy playing all the video games they have available. The restaurants at this casino are decent. I don't like the buffet though as I feel it costs too much. I don't eat a ton of food so I feel its not a good deal for me and I also feel the food at their restaurants is better than at the buffet. I have ordered room service here and its good. It doesn't take forever and the food arrives hot if you order hot food. I forget if they have coffeemakers in the rooms but there is a Starbucks downstairs that is convenient for getting food and coffee in the morning. I do like the pool at this hotel. I have not been at this hotel in a little while so I am not sure what type of TVs they have in the rooms. They do have wi-fi though for a fee. It works pretty well and I never had trouble surfing the internet while I was there. Some of the higher up rooms have really nice views of the lake. The parking is ok but you do have to walk a bit to get to the lobby. They do offer valet service but I've never used it.
Tahoe is a great place to visit and this hotel is conveniently located for sight seeing. Its right near Lake Tahoe and for winter travel it is near some ski resorts. Its also near various restaurants not affiliated with the hotel. Its fun to walk around outside as their is a bunch of shopping and other casinos right there. I do think this is a good hotel and I would stay here again. Hopefully I can get some free nights this summer.
This place reminds me of an uncle who used to be so cool and hip but now sits all day in his recliner with an oxygen tank watching Maury. Harvey's is just plain worn out. It looks like they haven't replaced the carpet in the casino since the place was bombed. Lots of maintenance issues unattended to. Poor Harvey, I knew you when you were cool. Also it would be nice if they hired a drink waitress or dealer that wasn't on Social Security.

Recently remodeled rooms, still at best 3 stars hotel some where else, but beside Montblue, Harrah's, Harvey's is as good as it gets. Corner room, 18th & 19th view of south shore Lake Tahoe is simply stunning. The sunrise and sunset views are priceless.
- Clean room, great view
- 19 Kitchen and Bar on the 19th floor, and Sage Room Steakhouse are decent
- Great service from the bellman to housekeeping
- Table - limited, not as happening as Harrah's
- Table drinks - weak drinks and slow service
- Great location for snowboarding at Heavenly.
- Conveniently for Tahoe Express shuttle pick up to Reno airport.
- 10 minutes walk to the Lakeside Beach, just so gorgeous, and a great spot for relax and meditate or a jog in the summer. Â
- Yup you can use your comp from Vegas, not so shabby isn't it?
The hotel does it job for this area.
Overall, I would come back to Harvey's if I needed a place to stay in Lake Tahoe. Harvey's is walking distance from practically everything and the lake is only about a 10 minute walk away. If you head over towards the middle of the town, you'll find Heavenly Resort where gondolas are 36.00 each person to ride along with an assortment of great places to eat.
Harvey's has this rule where they require your bags to be sent up via bellhop. I can't say the paranoid side of me was pleased. I skeptically let them take our bags on the cart and checked in the hotel.
The rooms were great, however we had a really horrible view of a roof. If you walk around the hotel however, you can find spots with better views.
I'd come back strictly for budgetary reasons, however I'd personally have loved the Embassy Suites down the road to have that complimentary breakfast.
Stayed at Harvey's for the 1st time, and had a blast. Â My room was clean and very well kept. Â It had a great updated bathroom, and it was huge compared to some others. Â I went for a quick ski/gambling fix, and had both. Â
And drum roll, I finally learned how to play craps. Â Yay for me. Â I actually stayed at one table for the better part of 3 hours, and actually won some money.
I enjoyed the casino and the dealers were, for the most part, friendly and willing to teach you the card games if you aren't experienced. The dealers earned a star all on their own. Additionally, there is an underground passage between Harvey's and Harrah's. The dealers will razz you if you use chips from the other casino, but they will take them and it's all in good fun.
The room, however, was a disappointment. Mostly for technological reasons. There were NO outlets near the beds, only over by the television and in the bathroom. I happen to be a pretty heavy sleeper, so it's important for me to be able to have the ability to charge my phone near me while I sleep (as it is also my alarm clock). The rooms were spacious, though. This was the single biggest drawback of my entire stay.
Free wi-fi in and around the Straw Hat Pizza on the casino level. Pretty good drink/pizza deals, too.
I would book a room here again. Â The room is huge. Â I loved that their bathroom has a door that separated the shower from the SECOND sink and toilet. And another door between the second sink from the toilet. Â And of course another door between the whole bathroom and the room. Â I love love and love the room layout. Â
Another plus is that hotel is connected to the Harrah's. Â Two hotel casinos in one!! I love that. Â
We didn't win much at MontBlue, but we did win at Harrah's. Â I believe we won a lot on Friday night, and lose some of the winnings on Saturday.
This review is for the casino only.
I stayed at Harrah's but played at Harvey's
Primarily because they had a poker room and Harrah's did not.
The poker room is a decent size room, not big though.
They have a daily poker tournament at 9:30 am (except on Sundays)
It starts at 10 am and it cost $40 to play. If you bust out of the first two rounds (15 minute rounds) you can re-enter for another $40.
I played twice, lost the first time and won (4 person split the pot) on my last day in Lake Tahoe (left on a good note).
The casino is busy on the weekends (Friday and Saturday nights). I wanted to play poker Saturday night. I got on the sign up sheet at 10:45pm. I left without getting my name called an hour later. Got tired of waiting. The room was packed. So, if you want to play poker, get in early. My brother sign up at 8 pm and waited half an hour to play.
Again, they are busy during weekends. I could not get a seat to play any of the table games. Either they were packed or the table limits were just to high for me.
The employees are super friendly.
Really enjoyed my time playing here. Mostly in the mornings and afternoons, when there were not as many people.
Going from Harrah's to Harveys is easy, There is a tunnel that runs between the two sister casinos. You don't have to brave the cold to go across.
I would definitely come back.
I loved our room! Â It was so massive and our view was spectacular!
The hotel staff was so nice, but, don't expect much from the Starbucks counter downstairs.
The food options are okay here, I mean we ate at their Hard Rock Cafe both nights we were there, and the food was "eh", but we were okay with it.
Anyway let's get back to the room...so big, pretty and comfy beds!
This review is for the ARCADE ONLY.
Over the 3 nights that we stayed at Harvey's, every night we took our kids, ages 10 and 12, to the arcade to play $10 each worth of video games. Â Over the 3 nights they accumulated about 2400 worth of tickets and on our last night were so excited about getting something from the prize counter. Â Problem? Â The young blond girl behind the counter didn't scan one of their tickets with 424 points on it. Â That is super cruel to do to kids when they've worked so hard to get all those tickets. Â I don't know if she did that on purpose or if it was an accident, all I know is count your tickets and confirm the number when they scan it.
Not cool Harvey's Arcade....not cool.
Positive:
- There are restaurants and entertainment you can get to without leaving the building. Restaurants are expensive and not that great, though.
- Covered and free parking garage
Negative:
- Rooms are basic, motel-like. No coffee machine, musky smell carpet.
- Internet is $11 per day and had the worst speed I have ever seen in a hotel. I tried to download an ipad app for my son and ave to give up after 30 min. A speed test showed 200 Kbps, but in reality it was even worse. The entire hotel must be sharing one DSL line. When will hotels understand that Internet is basic creature comfort now, like running water?
What a smelly old dump.
Didn't clear the snow out of the entry to the parking structure two days after the snow ended. Need to keep your chains on to make it across. The little lodge I stayed at had better snow removal.
Appreciate the underground tunnel, especially in winter. Too bad it smelled kind of like homeless.
Ate a depressing breakfast buffet at the Cabo Wabo.
Mont Bleu down the street has some class and better food.
This review is solely on the booking process. My boyfriend and I were looking for a hotel through many websites including Kayak and Expedia. We usually stay in friend's cabins, but this year was a bust. We came across Harvey's who had an average of about 4 stars and it was pretty cheap on Expedia.
I checked the Harvey's website which actually had the same deal as Expedia, but then I saw their deals section. There were multiple deals going on for Fall and Winter. We used the 20% off of 2 nights. When I saw it on Saturday night it was about $63 per night and all and all with tax for 2 nights it was $143.20. My boyfriend and I decided that was probably the best bet and we were going to book it on Sunday.
So on Sunday we looked to book and the prices changed. So disappointed, but my boyfriend told me he would check on his computer... something about how airlines and hotels install cookies on your computer so they know when you've visited before. When they have those cookies they raise the price of the hotel or flight each time you return. Sorry, he's a techie haha. So anyway, the price went up for the both of us on my Safari web browser the price for a Luxury King was $79.20 a night so all and all with taxes it was $179. I was so disappointed that it went up $30 and I was determined to find the same deal.
I opened my Google Chrome browser to look through the same website, which is actually the original browser I used, and found the same deal as the night before! Luxury King for 2 nights for $143.20. Â It was so strange that the same exact steps on different browsers led to different results! My boyfriend had already booked the hotel so he called to see if the price could adjust since it's different online. They basically said no, and we canceled and rebooked online for cheaper. I was slightly disappointed that they couldn't just adjust the price. It wasn't a massive burden on us by any means, but that just shows poor customer service.
All in all the moral to my review is: CHECK RATES ON DIFFERENT WEB BROWSERS! There can be different outcomes which is so strange. My boyfriend and I both tested this multiple times using the same steps with different browsers and for this hotel the same result happened each time.
No free wifi ($11 per device per day, WHAT? get with the times), the walls are paper thin (could hear everyone in the hall and the elevators going up and down sounded like airplanes), found what appeared to be pubic hairs around the tub, and the sink was clogged and a bunch of black debris came up through it when I used it. The good: comfy bed, nice customer service, huge room and bathroom with a nice sized bath tub that's a good shape to relax in (after re-cleaning it!)
Update: I was going to put 3 stars, but downgraded to two because after they told us they wouldn't charge us, Â and they did! We'll see(we had a free night's stay certificate at home but forgot it and they said they wouldn't charge us and that we'd have to just fax the certificate when we returned home.
Update: They took the charges off. Still 2 stars though.
Well to start with, there is a very big difference between the newly remodeled rooms and the older rooms. We were given a king Mountain Tower room. I stayed in it about a minute and a half. To be honest the room felt small and oppressive. It was overheated and very stuffy. There was no view, the room was definitely outdated. And as others have mentioned, had the old box television. We went back downstairs and requested an upgrade. We were upgraded at $30 per night to a double queen Lake Tower room. This room was on the ninth floor, had a view overlooking the pool, and was fair. They were unable to offer us a king room in the Lake Tower section. I had a difficult time believing that they didn't have one king room available. If the casino was any indication of vacancy, they must of had plenty of rooms!
Room: The room was clean and good sized. Higher ceiling in the sleeping / sitting area. I noted that guests were writing that their that there is a no coffee maker in the rooms - Harvey's *will* give you a coffee maker and coffee.. if you ask. The room was nicely appointed, fairly large bathroom, tub and separate shower. Small sitting area by the windows. If you like to feel as if you're being exfoliated while you sleep, you'll love the linens. If not, you'll strongly dislike them. (I fall into the second category). The temperature of the room was easily to maintain.
Casino: There weren't many people playing or much of anything going on. To be honest it was quiet. Personally I didn't win anything, a few machines kept me busy for a while, however they took everything back. The economy is down, the slots are tight. I waited over a half an hour for a bottle of water, not one server came by. I turned on the service light and was lucky enough to have Marion respond. This gentleman is the epitome of stellar customer service! Thank you Marion.
Valet: These gentlemen work incredibly hard. Their efficiency is impressive. Not only did we have a truck for them to deal with but we had a bike that needed to be stored in a separate location. We never waited longer than a couple of minutes! Thank you Michael and Del!
One last comment: I've noted that Harrah's / Harvey's doesn't respond to any of the reviews on Trip Adviser, Yelp or other websites. Since they might be unaware of these sites, I hope they're aware of what treasure they have in some of their employees.
Booked two nights through Harvey's Lake Tahoe's web site.  Prices fluctuate even in a same day, recommend checking during weekday after 9pm since price tends to be lower.  Staying at mountain tower on the  fourth floor without view which is not an issue for us. Â
pros:
- very comfortable king size bed
- thick walls, no running or any noises from outside even our room located right outside of the elevator
- very clean
- free chinese channels available (Jade)
- Strong flow shower head
cons:
- $10 per entry for fitness room
- TV and bathroom a little dated
