I am not a breakfast person mainly because I can make most breakfast fare at home.  However, the restaurant inside Hearts Desire is fabulous! The french toast is made with homemade breads (blueberry, cinnamon pecan, etc.) and is the best I have had anywhere in the country!
Servings are large and prices are reasonable.  Usually this means mediocre food- not here!  I would go here every Sat.(only day for breakfast) if my husband would agree.  By the way, he loves the food also and doesn't let the "girley decor" put him off- what a guy!  Again, best breakfast in the area!

    *Disclaimer*
There is a post office and cafe (wasn't open when we were there) in this antique store. You will see people darting in to make a bee-line for the post office. I only talked to one of these people thinking it was someone in my group...

This was my sister's favorite store during our trip. Again, many dealers and some of the areas are spread out so you aren't overwhelmed with items. I tried on a vintage dress here that fit perfectly and was $30 but I wasn't down with the bright toothpaste color.

This is a "must-go" if antiquing in the area.

I know absolutely nothing about the cafe part of this, so I'm not reviewing it. The antiques section is lots of fun to wander through though--the usual mix of total crap, overpriced junk, and some truly great finds.

Like, for example, the gorgeous, antique Victorian fainting couch in the exact shade of (lime) green velvet that was absolutely and utterly perfect for my living room. Especially when I'd said not two minutes earlier that I really wanted a chaise longue, only to turn a corner and have it appear (and for a completely affordable price). Clearly, it was meant for me.

Except for the part where it's, oh, in Indiana, and I live in New York.  And there's no easy shipping.

Let's just say my best friend rocks. (Don't deserve you chica!)

But I've learned my lesson, you crafty antiques store! I will look and not buy, even when you dangle a gorgeous 2-part barrister bookcase for $75 among the scary doilies. *swoon* Seriously, I'm reformed now, and just wander through to look for fun.

But some midwest yelper needs to buy that bookcase.
