  Not much at this airport to choose from except the USO & Helen Back. Both have great staff but only one makes a great Dirty Martini. I can't tell you about the food as we simply enjoyed a liquid diet of cold beer and dirty martini's while waiting for our luggage and bikes for a cycling event...so had to get good and hydrated, lol. Regardless the staff was great and made our long wait a good time.

  We were delayed 8+ hours this past weekend at Fort Walton, and there is literally one place to grab a bite or pint -- Helen Back.
  
  Helen Back changed our layover experience for the better. The Philly Cheesesteaks are incredible. We ordered food a couple of times during our stay and were never disappointed. They had a full bar as well which helped ease the pain of staying in Florida any extra time.
  
  If I could visit Helen Back again, I would absolutely make the trip. Totally worth it.

  Whether you're early for a flight or missed your flight, Helen Back is pretty much the only place to get decent food at this airport. They just moved in about 6 months ago and it's cool how they accomodated visitors and people inside the terminal. It's separated by a big glass wall and a carousel to move the food...strange concept but necessary for TSA regulations. The food here is the same as all the other Helen Backs in town, just without the rowdiness of the others.
  
  Lots of TVs to watch sports and decent pizzas and like 5 beers on tap.
  
  They close after the last flight in, but the non-security side closes at like 10-11pm.
