Hogan's is a small place, so get in early on a Friday evening. The interior is an old fashion bar, which I liked immediately. They have a full bar with a decent selection of craft beers including a locally brewed tap. We all ordered food: a couple ordered the Bite-Size steak, which was rated as very good. I had the bacon cheese burger: very good and exactly the way I ordered it. Â The staff was friendly and made us feel like "regulars". Â The only reason we didn't score five stars is because service was slow due to the placed was packed. Great place; we'll be back.
Review Source:Went here tonight cause of all of the 5 star ratings, but I just can't say that this is as good as it gets (like everyone else did). Â We went here tonight for dinner and yes the atmosphere is great, but the food and service were just a-ok. I ordered a burger and my colleague the salmon. Â His was dry and overcooked, mine was pretty boring. Â The service was friendly albeit slow. Â I wouldn't mind returning, but there are other places in the area that I've eaten at this week that were better.
Review Source:Probably my most favorite place to unwind with good food, brews, service and atmosphere. Have been here multiple times alone after work or with friends; informing my wife she ought to come along one of these times. She figured it looked like a biker bar on the outside and wasn't much better inside. Finally, dragged her in there one evening and now she's inviting her friends there too! Â Not the place you'd expect to get such excellent food... Non-fried menu items only available after 6pm FYI.
Review Source:Every single home visit brings me to Hogan's. Â It's the "go to" meet-up place for mini reunions, or for people who want to hear some fun live music. Â
If you know the LC Valley area in general, you won't believe the oasis of artsy/underground culture that exists at Hogan's. Â Even so, if a bunch of camouflage walked into the room, I don't think there'd be a problem, because people go to Hogan's for a laid-back good time, not to talk about political beliefs or religious affiliation. Â
The bite-sized steak is super satisfying, and don't' forget to check out the micros!
The owner is a chef; think Drive-ins, Diners, and Dives. Â Go on the weekend for the special and Grandma Ann's desserts. Â The regular menu includes salmon, shrimp with peppers, bite size steak, hamburgers made with local beef, and the Not so Funky Chicken sandwich which is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Homemade salad dressings. Â It is amazing what they do here in a postage stamp kitchen. Â We are regulars; we walk in and they bring us an IPA and a cider because they Know Us. Â The waitstaff is fantastic.
Review Source:This little bar holds the distinction of turning me towards spinach. Â Years ago I had the best spinach burrito EVER. Â And in all places, a dive bar in Clarkston WA. Â This place has the best food for a bar. Hands down.
Staff- A+. Â Service is awesome.
I would recommend anyone making their way through Clarkston to stop at this place for even lunch. Â It's worth it.
Just got done with another great meal here. Â They even offer desserts on the weekends. Â They're called "granny's desserts," and we even saw granny! Â They apparently go fast, and they only had one dessert left, but it was great! Â The burgers were amazing again, our youngest enjoyed the chicken strips, my oldest loved his shrimp, and all of us were tickled with the service. Â Have to go here for often!
Review Source:When I come back home to visit, this is typically my first stop. My friends have been coming here (and working here) for years. I saw my first show here, had my first drink here, etc. Honestly, a wonderful establishment with lots of history and character.
The food is on-time. Especially the bite-sized steak and the blue moon Burger. Their bartenders can make a mean drink. The regulars are cool as hell. Really, it doesn't get any better than this. A few years back, the place got a few new coats of paint, but the vibe is still the same... awesome.
This is one of those bars that if you come in a few times, people know your name and what you're drinking...and who doesn't love that?!
