We went to the Holbrooke Hotel for dinner on June 26th 2013. Â We should have know better when they did not answer their phone and asked you to leave a message and our message was ignored and phone call never returned. Â First we stoped in the bar and had a drink, Â very watered down, it was the worst drink I have ever had in a bar. Â Did not taste like it had any acohol in it at all and waitress took forever to both get our drinks and come back with our change. Â We decided not to order any more drinks from the bar and went to the desk to go into dinner. Â The same waitress from the bar was asked to show us to the dinning room. Â She led us to a hallway and pointed to the end and just said it's down there and turned around and left. Â Did not take us to restaurant or show us to a table. Â When we got to the dinning room it was empty so we stood there and waited until the waitress came back to find out where we should sit. Â We did get a different waitress for dinner who I must say was very nice. Â My husband ordered the steak and lobster which he said was good but I ordered a vegetable wellington, Â the vegetables that were supposed to be in it were listed on the menu but bell peppers were not listed and it was full of them. Â I could have delt with that ok but the puff pastry was terrible, soft, undercooked and I could not eat it. Â They gave me a whopping $3,99 off of our bill, big deal. Â I feel that anyone that cannot cook can at least heat up puff pastry and the fact that a chef running a restaurant is unable to do that makes me wonder. Â I sent an email to the Holbrooke before writing this review listing my complaints but it was totally ignored. Â I guess now I know why the restaurant was empty. Â Would never recommened this restaurant to anyone.
