Holman Vally Steak House is only open 3 days a week. Thursday through Saturday and they only open for dinner. Â
We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were pipping hot and not greasy. Some of the best that I have had. Served with ranch dressing.
For my entree I ordered the 10 -12 oz ribeye. The dinner comes with your choice of baked potato or fries, soup and salad.
Soup choices are homemade chicken noodle or potato soup. I had the chicken noodle and it was great. I also tried the potato soup, it was good but not like you would expect. It was more of a clear broth, not the standard creamy style.
The salad was pretty plain, one tomato slice and blue cheese. Complementary crunchy bread sticks were also serve with the soup / salad. They are kind of like long croutons. Very good.
I had ordered my ribeye rare, unfortunately it was a very thin steak so it came out overcooked about med to med well. No seasoning at all. Â I wouldn't order it again. Â I may try the chicken fried chicken next time.
The special of the day was the chicken fried ribeye. I didn't try it but was told it was just ok, it was lacking in seasoning as well. Â Our waitress also said they can chicken fry anything on the menu if we wanted. LOL
Service was great. Our waitress was very friendly. All in all an enjoyable meal.
