  I love, love, love this place! The food is delicious, service is good, and they have a beautiful 50/60's decor (blue themed). I go here during my lunch breaks at least twice a month. Wonderful restaurant. Open for breakfast and lunch.

  Home Plate Diner is one of my local favorites.  I try to eat there at least a couple of times each month.  The food is good and consistent.  I usually get the Chicken Fried Steak or Catfish specials.  They have plenty of tables, so immediate seating is usually available.  They are located off Hwy 5 behind Larry's Pizza.
  
  UPDATE:  Home Plate Diner is now open for breakfast only.  I have yet to try it their breaksfast selections.
