This is the best, freshest Mexican food in the state. The Valentina salad is amazing, even the cheese quesadilla is better than most. The rice and beans are vegetarian- a rarity- and were great!! My husband had the chile rellenos, and said they were seasoned very well and very lightly fried - not gummy at all. Â The chips are light and crispy and the salsa perfectly spicy. The house margarita is tangy, not overly alcoholic, and delicious.
Now for the criticism: the sopapilla was a flat fried tortilla, not the doughy pillows I'm used to. But it was yummy. The service was overly attentive and there was a big TV being installed while we ate, but I'm sure that's not always the case, and these are really minor things that the food easily makes up for.
