I am a really big fan of Hooters and I usually love this one. However, today my daughter and I visited around noon and were seated at a dirty table. No one took the initiative to help clean it, even when they saw me wiping crumbs from it. Our waitress was lacking in personality. She was auto programmed to ask the usual questions and seemed more concerned with standing at the front door with the rest of the wait staff while waiting for the place to fill up.
The food was great as usual. I just wish the server was more personable. I know they live on tips, but if you expect a good tip, please be a little more attentive. She only had us and one more table. No reason to ignore and act robotic.
It's hard to understand what Hooters sells lol But the wings are ok. Service just ok.
Food is ok, Nothing out of this world. I guess is the combination of things that makes this place popular, which makes sense if you just want to hang out with friends and have a beer with some snacks, Not precisely a dinning experience.
OK for wings, but not the best available in my opinion. Â Even the copy-cat Wing House does a comparable job, and also offers the formula of young female servers in minimal covering offering good cheer and ample beer. Â Not surprisingly, tables of guys buying lots of beer and tipping well get the most attentive service but you also see families in for a wing fix. Â Â
I suppose we should patronize Hooters because it originated locally like Outback and a few other chains that have gone national. Â And clearly, their formula has spawned lots of wanna-be almost-clones. Â But they also repel some (mostly female) customers with their formula. Â So I will take a sorta non-combatant position...I will munch on good but not excellent wings while staring at waitress displays when dragged there by buddies, but not seek out such ogling on my own.
I am a huge hooters fan and patron. Wings with three mile island sauce is my staple here. For the most part the girls hustle and are good as servers.
But...could you get better people manning the to go station? Try and work on quality control of the orders coming out of the kitchen and in the to go room.
But most of all - how about policing up the to go parking spots with ya-hoo's that use the spots as regular parking.
Because I love Hooters I will keep coming back...but Ed Droste, do some spot checking now and then.
It's embarrassing but I absolutely adore Hooters wings and buffalo shrimp. I really don't like buffalo sauce anywhere else. That said, my husband goes here quite often with his friends after golf, and I'll meet him with the kids. Once you get past the horrid orange mini-shorts and suntan stockings, the girls are generally nice. Our server last week was especially helpful and friendly, wish I could remember her name!
