Hooters is what it is, good wings. Â Stopped into Hooters yesterday to find a souvenir T shirt and received over the top help from Lisa. Â Tonight found ourselves needing something quick and close because a child fell asleep so turned to Hooters for carry out. Â Lisa was even more helpful than she was with the T shirt, caring more about helping us with carry out even though arguably at the expense of dining in tip. Â Very Impressed with Lisa and thankful too.
Review Source:On may 21 I fell in love with hooters in novi.. On my 30 we broke up forever in traverse city.
Service - mediocre
Food - awful
* fried pickles - spongy
* lots o tots - bland, tasteless
* onion chips - fried bits with no onions
* buffalo shrimp - lifeless
* chicken sliders - salty, over sauced
If you are in t.c. I urge u to not go to this poor excuse for a restaurant. A Wendy's is right down the road and could outdo this joint... Blech
Good wings, BAD service.
I think the waitress may have been stoned. She, when asked for water, brought six empty glasses and a pitcher with no ice. When she did pour some she poured it while they were still on the table.
I watched my credit card for several days after leaving this place. I have a system by which I can tell if the charge was actually mine, and it wasn't. The waitress just added money to the tip. Watch out!
I've been to a few hooters most of the food is easily forgettable but it's the fried pickles that keep me coming back.
Ive been to this one in TC a couple times and it has never been busy but the service has always been slow. The service is still as slow as ever but the reason I came in was for the fried pickles and they were great satisfying my want. Though my previous attempts to get them resulted in horribly soggy and thick pickles that didn't really get fried up. This is a hit and miss stop for fried pickles.
My bloody Mary was good.
That's about it.
The waitress wasn't fun, she just kind of brought things to us, put them on the table and walked away. The food was Hooters food- no complaints-
BUT our server was so poured into her little outfit that it was almost appalling. Â And none of the toilets flushed. Everything about that place made me loose my appetite.
Except the bloody mary.... That was good.
The food was alright (I should have ordered my wings without breading so I will put that on me). Â I hit the right time to go because happy hour beers were only $2. Â Being from the east coast that is a huge steal but probably standard for Traverse City. Â The hospitality was great and the waitresses were friendly and hung out with me since I was there alone.
Review Source:Not impressed with Hooters in general. This one in TC is the only one I've been to more than once. Â On my most recent visit I asked to get my wings crispy (i.e. leave them in the fryer an extra minute or two.) Saying they were not crispy would have been an understatement. I ordered a Long Island ice tea, top shelf....one of the worst Long Islands I've ever had. Asked for my burger to be cooked medium...doesn't that mean a warm/hot pink center in restaurant lingo? It came out well done, in my opinion.
Hoping I can remember this the next time I come to TC and remind myself to eat somewhere else.
Love the daily specials they offer. Â Wednesday is my favorite. It's boneless wings and fries day. Â Always has the most up to date sports on all of the many televisions. Â Good food, friendly staff, and great Sports atmosphere. Â Have some wings, an adult beverage, and watch the game or the race.I try to be sure I get there at least once a week.
Review Source:WORST SERVICE ON THE PLANET!!!! Â I went here---unwillingly--with a group of friends for the UFC fight night, on a Saturday night. Â You'd think they would have back up servers for a popular night. Â NOPE. Â I think I counted four waitresses. Â For the ENTIRE floor. Â No tables were being cleaned off, nobody asked us if we were waiting for a table. Â It was a fight to get a table with so many people waiting, clogging up the doorway. Â
We waited an hour for a drink---we had to go up to the bar ourselves and get one. Â Ridiculous. Â The girls seemed unintelligent as well. Â Wandering around socializing with one another. Â Clueless. Â The food is NEVER good...I didn't order anything this time. Â My wine was crappy and at $6...not worth the buzz. Â
For how much hype goes into Hooters.....they need to re-evaulate their franchise. Â The Traverse City one is terrible, and the girls are not what you think they'd be. Â Time to outsource!!!!!!!
On July 11, 2010, I arrived at the Traverse City, Michigan location at 6:00 pm to meet a group of fourteen people. We were all out of state visitors and most of the group had been to Hooters restaurants in their own states before and felt it would be a good place to go. I had made a reservation for this group earlier in the day so the restaurant would not be overwhelmed by our arrival. When I walked in I was told to sit wherever I wanted and when I informed the several servers that were sitting at the bar that I had a reservation they waved me to the end of the restaurant.
After the remainder of our group arrived our server took and delivered our drink orders, took our food orders and was never seen again. Forty five minutes after we ordered three kids meals and three entrée's were delivered by a server that was not the one we originally had. A few minutes passed as we waited for the remaining eight meals to arrive, by this time it was 7:00 pm and everyone was very hungry and beginning to get upset as we had seen several tables that had arrived after we had eat and leave. A different server came to our table and explained that our original server had quit and she needed to know what food we still needed, we told her and she left. Foolishly we thought the food was on its way to our table, but it was not. After several enquires as to the status of the remaining entrée's and receiving no satisfactory answer our group left without receiving our food or a bill at 8:00 pm, two hours after we arrived. We did not speak to a manager, no compensation was offered and no one attempted to stop us as we left. I do not know if this is regular business for this particular franchise, but I am so disgusted by the staff's unprofessional behavior, the lack of management and the overall experience I will never be visiting a Hooters establishment again. There is no possible excuse for this horrendous level of service.
I like the food...plenty of greasy goodness...I went there with my son and his wife and baby daughter...contrary to popular belief...this is not a strip joint...our waitress was a beautiful...struggling fashion model that visited with us ...holding the baby...while having to put up with the above normal "innuendos".
I ordered the fish and chips...a lot of food...My daughter-in-law had a hamburger that was bigger than her face! and tons of fries...we enjoyed our visit... a little pricey...the hot wings my son had were awesome.
Really...if management wants to project more of a family restaurant atmosphere...throw out the rear end grabbers and protect the waitresses more...I found out later that our sweet struggling model left because there was too much of that ridiculous stuff going on...good for her!
