Nice way to answer for wifey day is cold crafted pints and sports. 24 taps always changing the rotation , great decor with the flat screens, crafts posted up everywhere.

Nice big sports bar with plenty of seating with flat screens everywhere so you can't miss a beat . A huge wooden bar that has a great shine where the beverages have that perfect slide when coming down your way. Great vantage points also if you decide to sit at the bar. Plenty of seats that outline the bar, that gives an great view of their taps, along with liquors. These guys did it right I must say, I enjoyed myself, a great rebuttal to wifey day. ( score 1 for the good guy )

I love samples by the way, sampled several delicious crafts, they also do a beer sampler , 4 selections of 6 oz glasses for 8.99 I believe it was. This is a great spot for the beer aficionado with all great crafts to peruse.

The food all looked so good, best sellers are their burgers. Specialty gourmet burgers to their signature selections. Wow, I had the big mans cheeseburger, cooked to a medium. Talk about delicious, with the homemade chips and side order of fries to add. Every inch of my plate was covered , so you know I was happy about this. My wife went with a specialty bison cheese burger cooked to a medium, that also looked like something I would sink my teeth into.

Great music pumping out, 90's alternative, from Sound Garden to Pearl Jam, from the touch screen juke box hanging along the wall. Our bartender was Rebecca who was nothing but great, attentive, offering her insights of what the best are. Apparently she makes a great Mojito seeing this is what my wife was drinking.

side note ** Rebecca knows how to make a great snake bite , I was impressed that she got it right.

Great spot to be at, watch a game, enjoy the food, the crafts, and other drinks. I'll surely be back again to frequent this joint when in town. Besides I saw what their wings look like from a patron sitting across from me. They looked great , a mouth watering scent coming from his dish.

My hubby & I stop here once or twice a month. We like that we can get munchies or dinner with our beer. The food is above average for bar food. However, I probably wouldn't pay the cover charge to get in late. Friday night we were there earlier for dinner & a band came so we stayed was a fun night.

What to say about House of Brews? Well unfortunately I have to start with something negative. They have a $5 cover on Fridays and Saturdays after 9pm ( I'm guessing for the live band) I was shocked when I showed up last Saturday and found this out for myself. A cover charge just to sit down and eat?

Normally I would give a restaurant that pulled this stint one star, especially since it's located in the suburbs, but I've been here before and I actually like it. They have a great beer selection and the food is quite tasty. The staff are extremely attentive and very friendly.

So I guess from now on when I want to head over there on the weekends I'll be heading over before 9pm. But HOB, if you're listening, pay the band and don't charge a cover. You lose business that way.

Place got off to a rocky start for first couple months but seems to have honed it's skills. Initially the service was lacking and food was spotty and mostly mediocre but there must have been some serious staff meetings, as well as a purge of non performers in the kitchen and on the floor. Staff remembers my name and I come in every other week or so. Plenty of TV's to watch games but sitting at the bar gives you a kink in the neck as they're all mounted up a bit high. Food has improved and is more consistent, at least for the last 10-20 times I've been there. Great variety of beers with a discount price special on one beer most days. prices are middle of the road, not cheap but not expense account level either. live entertainment some nights including a form of Quizzo one night of the week. All in all pretty decent. Not too noisy like some other nearby establishments (P.J.Whelihan's for one).

So far, ok. The food was average. The atmosphere seems good. Looks like they have some good people working there and it's definitely a good set up if you're out to watch games.

I completely frustrated that this is the place that is wasting prime restaurant/bar space in my town. really, what a waste. The food isn't good. Everything is super greasy. And the beers are just as frustrating. The whole craft and variety is a facade. I doubt that most employees know what they're talking about, since those that I encountered didn't.

I've officially banned my husband from going here. One of his friends actually likes it here, so occasionally they'll meet up here. He comes home stinking of grease and friend everything. Its disgusting.

Great place for a game. Great selection of draught beers. Bartenders are attentive and the manager Andrew extremely helpful. If good beer and pub food are what you are looking for...try this place

1st time to try 2nd time to taste...my first experience was not the greatest but it definitely wasnt the worst.

I didn't like my food, the manager happily took it back and let me try again. That was just ok.

The endless variety of beers ( i know i know ) was cool my fiance always tries something new I just like to piggy back of that.

so to sum this up, I will go back again, the beer is a major plus, and the food well my experience hasn't been the best yet.

A decent selection of beer, though somewhat of a limited offering of craft beers. Food was ok, I got the fish & chips, of which I only really like the fish.

I stumbled upon it by accident while lost in the south jersey, probably won't seek it out again. If you're close by, its probably a good place.

Intitially when we tried house of brews back when they first opened it was okay. The food the kinda cold when it came out and the beer selection was half decent for trying to be known for there craft beers. We went back just recently and let me tell you the food quality was amazing!!! The burgers were cooked just right and were probably the best burgers we've had!! I would definetly recommend burgers above everything else! Especially the new cowboy burger with onion rings and BBQ yummmmm!!!! The beer selection also has gotten much much better!! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant!!! Much better the 2nd time around!

House of Brews is a great local bar with a surprising menu . . . we're talking wild boar, ostrich, succulent bison . . . I recommend the wild boar and that incredible horseradish sauce. The bar service was fine for a week day and the selection of beers wasn't bad. The draw is definitely the specialty burgers though.

It's definitely somewhere you can hit with groups of people or on a date, or with the kids.

Waitress started off by saying "hi babe"!! Food was cold and mediocre.
if you want to sit at the bar and watch the gaame go for it, but dublin square and PJ's have better atmosphere and way better food

Great burgers and variety of drafts. Also a really good sports bar where there's not very many around. I was also surprised to find magners on draft here. Ask for Jeff and tip him well!

We had read about this bar on http://newjerseycraftbee… and decided to hit this place up for some Sunday lunch. The inside of the bar is spacious. They have a huge bar in the center of the restaurant & a lot of big screen TV's. We were immediately seated by the hostess.... Four minutes went by, then six minutes went by and we were still not greeted by a server. Generally, I would of walked up to the hostess & asked what was up but decided to give it another minute........ Finally, a server had come over to our table (it was a miscommunication between the hostess & the server).

We didn't see a beer menu/list on the table and we were seated too far from the bar to see what they had on tap. Thankfully, our table was close enough to be able to see the beer list on the wall-mounted chalkboard, they have a decent selection of drafts. (their Facebook page boasts 24 beers on tap/ 80+ different bottles of beer). At this point we were thirsty/hungry and decided to take the easy/safe route and go with a Palm beer and a Yuengling.

The food menu has the usual suspects plus some wild game offerings for the carnivore (Bison burger, Wild Boar burger, Lamb burger, alligator bites, etc.). They have clam steamers in beer, Calamari, nachos, Mussels, etc. They have a few vegetable items such as Portabella Mushroom burger and salads but no vegetarian/vegan items.

I opted for the Bison burger. It was okay, could of used a little more seasoning. (though, it was cooked perfectly the way I ordered it). I think a Bricohe bun would of complimented this burger a lot better! (instead of the dry, snow-flake type of roll). The tomato did not have a bright red/fresh taste to it, it was more of an after thought. I chose the house-made potato chips. Some of the chips were crispy while others were semi-soggy (from soaking up too much oil?). It appears that the chips were not seasoned after they were pulled from the fryer, they were lacking in flavor. (the accompaniment of onion sour cream and house-made ketchup helped it along).

Our server was good. She kept our water glasses refreshed and gave us the right mix of attention & space. The food was brought out quickly. I think the price points are reasonable.

With a name like 'House of Brews' I had an expectation that this place would be a 'beer bar' similar to the Blue Monkey Tavern (Merchantville, NJ) or the Pour House (Westmont,NJ) but it kind of felt more like a Chickies & Petes or PJ Whelihans sports bar (nothing wrong with that, looks like a great place for a E-A-G-L-E-S, Phillies, Flyers, Uuuuunion fan to watch a game). I am still giving this place a respectable 3 stars and will give this place another shot. I see other items on the menu that I want to try. Will the bartenders offer small samples of beers to try before we buy? Are the bartenders craft-beer knowledgeable? We will sit at the bar next time and find out...... stay tuned.

Until next time
