It's down back...waay back.
The owner seems to be very pre-occupied. For example...he offerred me some pita (the menu said it was part of the dish, and he failed to bring it with the dish...so, as while my dish was sitting, getting cold (it's difficult to eat shawarma without the pita), he disappeared out back, and when he failed to come back five minutes later I went looking for him. One of his friends of relatives (who seem to hang around the place because none of them went back to the kitchen, but just yelled for him to come forward) he 'apologized', saying something about forgetting that the pita was on the pita press and that he had let it burn, put another pita in the press, and gave it to me hot on an unwashed basked without even a napkin under the single pita (not enough for a shawarma platter) handed it to me, and then ran into the back, behind the kitchen. What was so important back there? What was he doing? Shawarma is like Greek gyro, and does not need constant attention. Maybe he had his own hookah in back with I don't know what he was smoking. Hmmm. Strange. My wife thought so, too.
This place is getting more popular every day.
I've only visited to hookah area a couple times because it is kind of pricey, no more expensive then any other hookah lounge though. They charge by the number of hoses you request. So if you have 2 people and want 2 hoses it will be 20 dollars for a bowl. I really hope in the future they will start offering deals like 'happy hour' or a discount of some sort if you also buy food. They have to make money somehow, but knowing the cost of sheesha I just can't justify coming here and spending 10 bucks a person for about 45 minutes.
The lounge itself is very comfy once you settle in. They have done a pretty decent job arranging the area in a way that your party will have a bit of privacy from other parties. They also don't mind if you rearrange the space. However, they need to start limiting the amount of people they let in. They tend to keep letting large party's of people in until people are literally sitting on each other. They also let people play their own music sometimes if they ask nicely, however I feel that these things take away from the experience that's supposed to be relaxing. On the weekends this place is more like a loud smokey night club then a Mediterranean  lounge. ;_:
This place is still an awesome addition to the area. If you want to avoid the college crowd I'd reccomend going on an afternoon during the week. I'm really stoked for what they will have in store in the future to improve the lounge.
I visited this place because I was in dire need of some hookah, and had read about this place on yelp. I didn't realize this place was downstairs from the yogurt place, but found it quickly. Also felt a little sketchy in the front area, but they have a nice menu, and the place is otherwise clean so I didn't feel weird about eating here.
Went to the hookah room for relaxation. Although it was freezing outside, there was practically no heat inside, and they turned on the heater for about 5 minutes, which was wonderful at knocking out the chill in the room, but once the heat was off, the room was so cold. The hookah was pretty good, and although they use the self lighting coals, I didn't have too much of an issue with it. They came by multiple times to change the coals which is a bonus in my hookah world.
I tried the hummus, which was good, and since I was there to smoke, will inspect the menu at a later time. Initially the place was empty, and as it got later, the place got full, which was cool, although a bit loud for someone who went there to relax and unwind after a hard day at work.
I will definitely try this place again.
