went here last friday for the first time.. and it was not what i expected.. this place was all cash only and i could not even take out money cause the atm was broken.. although the music was good.. drinks were weak.. and the bartender some older lady in the back room was very rude.. ordered 2 drinks which was 12 bucks we gave her 14.. instead of giving us the 2 dollars back, she automatically assumed that was tip.. and i must say it was a very much older crowd.. maybe id give it another shot on saturday night instead, but my first experience did not like..

OK. Been here 3 times. I'm an 80's kid and there are a lot of flashbacks available here.

Pros include good parking, progressively better music as the night goes on (they always save the good stuff for later at night when place is more full, we got in early to try and avoid the cover and had to play "name that tune" with the mute Video clips montage-ing on the TV screen for a couple hours), two rooms: Spanish Rock and High energy mixed in the back are great, decent drink prices, and a non pretentious atmosphere co-created by the attendees.

Cons definitely include Food (trust me, go and eat something yo' momma made for you back in the day to re-live 1987 before arrival, and after you leave, go get some  street tacos cuz the food here sucks and it'll take them like 30 minutes to cook your food and then a bunch more minutes to let it get cold before they bring it to you with an excuse), the second rate wait staff, illiterate people spilling drinks on dance floor in front of signs that say No Drinks on Dance Floor, and DJs who are too stubborn to change their song when one they play clears the floor.

You can RSVP for a table to be set aside.

    Party on Yelpers!

I Love this place!  My bestie brought me here cause 80's music is about the only thing we have in common.Came here on a Saturday & I liked it. Can only imagine what a Friday night is like so I must try next time. I like the atmosphere..real chill, happy people that just want to enjoy a good night dancing to 80's flashback music. I like the cool names they have for their drinks & the fact they have 2 rooms you can hop back & forth to. Oye mi amor, no me digas que no. Sidetracked there... can't forget the Rock en Español of course. The cover charge was $10 which was cool with me.

I went here about 2-3 times; small place that's split into "two bars." On one night there was "death metal" ( my side of the bar hehe) and near the front bar, was 80's night. I thought it was cool seeing the disparate crowd passing each other when goin down that cool, dark, narrow hall! 80's thrash metal night mixed with cheesy 80's New Wave night LOL! The last times I went I haven't seen the metal nights which I miss; hopefully they'll bring them back or at least "Goth night." There's already a "New Wave Bar" 20 minutes away in Bellflower. Keep Downey "Metal" like the good ol' days like when Slayer used to roam the streets and before the cholos from South Gate infected the area!

    This place is amazing!

I highly recommend going on Friday nights for rock en espanol vs 80s nights (in room 2) i was kinda feeling the main room where its only 80s music...

But, i was feeling room 2 even more where there's literally rock en espanol, 80s US/UK Rock, Pop, New Wave, Indie; then out of nowhere some:Cumbia, Merengue, some Salsa, Reggaeton, and that's pretty much it!

So it's a variety of genres in room 2. Just in case you're in the mood for a bit something different and/or perhaps during the moment you go and grab a few different Madonna or ghost buster drinks.

The vibe and people scenes in this club are mostly older folks of different ethnicities whites and latinos mostly 30s-40s, in the main room mostly. Then in room 2 there's more Latinos: Greasers, hipsters, older and young people. Not strict with any dress code AT ALL! Which is great. So all is welcome here.

The drinks they have are mainly what's on the "80s" menu. They don't do regular bar name drinks. (i.e. BahamaMama, bloody Mary, etc.) Then the people who work the bartender could use some better appearing people... What i mean is that they got this one guy who was cool, older looking...but he's a cool dude. But in room 2, they've got these ladies who are all old, dressed in sweats, faded random colored shirts, who basically look all grumpy and mean like they hate there jobs... Yeah, so i kept leaving room 2 on purpose to go to the cool dude.

So my only negative things are: bartender/workers appearance (i mean come on it's an 80s nightclub! Wear at least things that represent the 80s or dress better period!), how it looks outside the club (the paint should stand out and it's under an apartment complex... Yeah... I don't know... But for some reason it reminds of a biker bar... You'll know what i mean) the inside could use some better appearance too. Like the walls look kind of crappy and looks too "bar-ish" less club-ish... And room 2 could use the same too.

But what can i say, the music and environment gets the appearance part of your mind off the negative side once there's people there going crazy and dancing and when the music starts.

My favorite random part of the club is where it says in room 2 above the dj "NO MOSH PITS" hahaha classic! And nice! Because if there wasn't I'd be pushing and circle pitting all night. Three only thing i did similar was 2 stepping (a hardcore dance thing).

I love a good 80's club and I've been to the Hully Gully many time throughout the past few years. Always a fun time with chill people and cool atmosphere. I absolutely love Friday nights because it's Spanish rock vs. 80's...awesome!!!!!

    -Plenty of free parking
    -Free entry or $10 max
    -2 rooms
    -Big outdoor patio
    -Fun 80's named drinks
    -Cheap drinks
    -Cool security
    -Good DJ's
-Late night eats right next door (JITB)

Sometimes it's nice to stray from the pretentious Hollywood scene and enjoy a fun 80's night!

Love the HG! They have 2 rooms playing Spanish Rock and the other New Wave 80's. It does look like an old spooky motel lobby w/carpeted floors but the music is AMAZING! After a few drinks you won't even notice. They did recently upgrade a bit. They fixed the AC so it's tolerable. For the most part there is always some place to sit since people are constantly going back and forth between both rooms. Always have a good time at the HG!

I like dancing and I like dancing to 80's music and rock en español, so what better hole in the wall place than this?!

It's not glamorous and neither is the majority of the people but it's ok since I just want to have a good time with my friends. They've recently upgraded the bathrooms which is lovely since before the girls restroom was tiny, it's bigger now. They have cute names for their 80's drinks and their booze is affordable.

It does get hot in there, but in all seriousness which club anywhere doesn't? But they keep doors open and fans going to keep circulating air.

I'm not there every weekend but it's nice to go to every once in a while.

i have loved the Hully Gully for a long time because of their music and fun times.  but now that they've remodeled it, it's a full package deal of a club.  i was one of the many who griped about the bathrooms for a long time, and it looks like they finally listened and upgraded them in a MAJOR way.  i was so pleasantly surprised by this.

as always, the DJs rocked the house, the drinks were stiff and cheap, and all in all a good time was had.  way to make a good thing even better, 80's Club Addiction!  :)

So this bar slash club thing was a bit weird. 10 cover first of all, and the drinks aren't really cheap. 7 to 8 bucks, with an older white couple working the bar.

Its an older crowd, but I came with my mom so she could get drunk with her friends.. haha

Music was suprisingly good, but be aware, the ventelation system is poor, one industrial fan to keep the place cool.

Parking was free at least. Trying to look at the brite side of things tonight as I write this at the bar.

Pretty packed for a hole in the wall. Lots of people dancing, but I'm ready to go home!

We have tried other 80's clubs but NOTHING tops Hully Gully.  Hully Gully is my little piece of 80's heaven for the following reasons:

    1. Ample parking that is close to the entrance
    2. There is always enough room on the dance floor to really get your dance moves going
    3. Friendly staff
    4. Great music
    5. Don't have to worry about groups of creepy guys trying to grab you
    6. worth the $5 to $10
    7. Awesome New Year's night
    8. Close to Jack in the Box
    9. You want to dance to every song
    10. Ample seating on cushiony chairs when you need to take a breather
    11. Fans blowing cool air on the dance floor
    12. It is not pretentious. You can dress up or go casual and just do your thing.
    13. Spanish Rock

    Thank you hully gully

Are you and 80's freak and Rok En Espanol Junkie?!?!?

If you answered YES then this is the place for you!! I absolutely love the carefree and laid back atmosphere at this joint. Talk about really going out to have a good time with no reservations about how you look or who to impress. The Hollywood scene has it's moments but, I've been there and done that, it's way over rated at times. At the end of the night I'm left with a bunch of flyer shoved in my window, major traffic on the way home and throbbing feet (no gooooo).

Hully Gully is perfect for a the laid back lass like myself, that honestly wants to have fun!!! Dance the night away with your girls or guy... or both whateve :) you understand where I'm going. Ballet slippers welcome, say good-bye to those stilettos for this night on the town, it's all about having a blast with out the pain.

It's certainly is not the lap of luxury, but that's the appeal of this place.

This is a review (more like info) for Saturday night, when they have 80's dance party.

-They have two medium dance floors and two bars.

-They played 80's music in both dance floors, but in one I think they were playing Rock en Espanol, also, but I'm not sure 'cause I hardly went there.

-I had an AMF and a jager bomb, both were $9 each.

-Parking: I don't think they have their own lot (at least I didn't see one) but everyone seemed to park in an LAUSD office building lot that is directly next to it (which is free).

-It was $5 entry before 9:30pm and $10 after that.

-They serve food all night, but I didn't have anything so can't tell you how good it is.

    -There's plenty of seating.

-They had a huge fan directly in front of one of the dance floors so it kept everyone cool. I don't think there was one in the dance floor more towards the back. I remember going back there thinking it was really hot so I went back to the other one.

-They have an outside area towards the back.

    -Coat check is $2

-The people were mostly late 20s early 30's type of crowd. Everyone dressed VERY casual. I don't think they have a dress code 'cause there were some girls wearing jeans and sneakers.

    A FEW CONS:

-The drinks were really watered down, to me.

-The girls bathroom was so dirty! It was really gross.

I gave this place 4 stars, however, because they had a really really great selection of music, and that's what mostly matters to me. I danced all night!  I think I only sat down once, for less than five  minutes before I heard another song I loved, that I just had to dance to. So, yes, I'll definitely be coming again. :)

Came to celebrate my birthday here last night with a few friends. I loved the music and every song that came on I just HAD to dance. Shoes were off in 20 minutes and I was already up on stage by my third drink(the drinks were a bit strong). There was also only one bartender. Really?! They stayed true to their word and I was let in for free but the friends that came in after 9:30 had to pay $10.00. YIKES...That's a lot for a place that is more of a bar then a full blown club.

The bathroom situation was pretty bad. LONG line to use it but that's the issue any place you go. The mens bathroom door was open so you could see when they were peeing even if you were trying not too.

All in all I had a ton of fun and my only true gripe was the unbearable heat in this place. I would def come back for the music.

I really want to like this place, the music is great. Really a delightful change from the normal top hits. Drinks are nicely priced, but I really wasn't digging the CASH only bit. Who doesn't take credit nowadays? I normally don't carry cash on me so it woulda been nice to know this beforehand.

OMG it gets soooo hot in here too! And the bathrooms suck (only 2 stalls ladies so be sure you're prepared to wait in line or you'll be doing the pee pee dance). I didn't spend much time in the backroom but they were playing the same music they'd played in the front room 15 mins earlier. Not really much variety... My biggest gripe? $10 at the door for a place that looks more like a bar trying to be a club.

Aside from the music I really don't see many redeeming qualities in this place :/

Major let down was that they were already kicking people out at 1:20 on the dot. The back room gets pretty hot and the fans don't help much.

    The drinks are reasonably priced.

LOOOOVVEEEDDD the DJ. He played the best of Rock en español and 80's.. also threw in some disco and 90's hits. Id come back again... but before 9:30 so i can pay $5 instead of $10. Girls bathroom isn't that clean and only has 2 stalls, so ladies... prepare for a long wait to the restroom.

    Before 9:30p.m. $5
    After 9:30p.m. $10

    CASH ONLY.

I've been telling people for years that this place is not worth the $10 charge. Sometimes, not even the $5. Finally, I remembered to check in so I don't forget to write a review. I'm horrible at checking into places.

You might miss it if you're driving on Imperial Highway. It's underneath an apartment building, and right before the Jack-In-The-Box if you're heading west on that street. If the parking lot is full, you can park next to the LAUSD supplies storage building, which is between the Hully Gully and the fast food joint. They have security personnel walking around, so don't feel that your car isn't safe or that it will get towed. Parking is free.

It's going to get towed if you park across the way at Stox. They don't mess around. Go ahead, be a rebel and ignore my warning.

Anyways, I used to live down the street. So, I never worried about parking. I walked to the Hully Gully and stumbled back home. It was great, but this place could benefit from a renovation.

It's two rooms. The security at the door have always been cordial and professional every time I deal with them. I've heard of individuals who complain that security won't allow re-entry which is a lie. I walk out all the time, and come back in without issues.

So, you walk in, there's a bar to your right, a small dance floor to your left. You can reserve tables in advance.  If you get there before 9:30p.m. there's plenty of seating available (I'm not paying $10!). The place is dark, the ceiling is low. It looks dingy, yes. What I like is that it's the epitome of a dive bar. No pretentious peeps, no drama. Some ventilation would help. It gets a bit hot.

The bartenders have always been pleasant to my friends and I. The drinks? They have their own concoctions, named after 80's bands or idols. To this day, i've never tried them. But the open kitchen, is good stuff. When I drink, I like to munch on some snacks or appetizers. The prices are moderate. Gin and tonic, which is what I was drinking all last night are $5.

The music in the front room is generic, top 40 hits from the 80's. I'm a child of the 80's and I can appreciate it, but yeah, some songs do get overplayed.

The better music is in the back, but on certain days. The back room has a pool table, another bar and dance floor. Indie, electro, rock en español etc. But on Saturdays, it's all 80's.

If you want to keep your drinks and food down, RUN! run right through the hallway, where the bathrooms are at. Don't even look in there. If you've learned nothing from this review, remember this: los bathrooms are mucho disgusting. Thank goodness for my strong bladder. That's a skill you acquire from growing up with seven people in the house, and one bathroom. I can hold it forever and be cool.

There's an outside area, but I hardly go out there because that's where all the smokers are at. Nice thing that you can drink out there.

Still, not worth $10 which is why I always ended up at the Anarchy Library. The crowd is 30+ I would say. I don't know. The place is so dark, I can't tell. This is not the place to be creeping for ghouls and gals. It's just a place to drink, listen to music and talk to your friends. That's it.

    Not worth the $10.

Despite some of the reviews here, I love the gully!!! And that is because the music is AWESOME (if you're an 80's fan) and the crowd is not pretentious at all. On some nites they have great tribute bands for bands such as depeche mode, the smiths, the cure......
The drinks are reasonably priced, the place is not huge but not small, however from all the times i've been there I figured their AC will never be on, so it does get pretty hot and stuffy in there, specially when it's packed!!
Overall i think it's worth checking it out, specially on fridays which I think are their best nites!!!!

Im sorry but this place sucks..
First of all, they dont pat you down when you come in, so who knows if anyone is carrying anything on the way in.
Second of all, the bars are cash only.  They have an ATM, but thats it.
Lastly, the music is good, wont complain, but the space is kinda confind in the sense where the ceilings are really low. I guess they also serve food, cause i did see a menu, and a kitchen open.
The day i was there, the cover was 10 bucks, which is outrageous i think.  5 bucks would of been ok. Anyways, the day i was there, a fight broke out, and lasted a while before any staff showed up..I say staff, cause i didnt see any security in the building.
Would i come back to this place, probably not, unless some great cover band was playing. Otherwise, NO!

I was invited to this place for a birthday get together.  And I didn't like it that much.  I mean, I like 80's music but not to dance to.  I would have given them 2 stars if they had made my drink stronger and not repeat the same song every hour.  There are so many great 80's songs and all  you can play all night is tainted love?  Come on!

Oh parking is free which is good.  It would have added insult to injury if we had to pay more that what we had to.

    Maybe I'm just a 90's child.

U will have a gr8 time here,  B*U*T the $4 PBR cans  and the $5 Stella bottles will put U off, This is why I rated this place 3*s.

We will return, but not B4 delighin' in cocktails elsewhere.

One thing about the restroom...held one hand on the bathroom door to keep it closed, while the other one pulled down my tights.  ENOUGH SAID.

After reading all the reviews, I decided to come without any expectations. Came for a friend of a friend's birthday. I was hesitant, but went anyhow because I had not seen my friend in forever and a day.  Go without any expectations.  If you're in good company, and you like mainstream 80's, you should be alright... I guess.

Oh, and some of the men are on the prowl.  One had the audacity to grab my wrist, and firmly at that, to try to get me to dance....EHHHHH.

    But, the nachos were good.

This place is pretty ghetto.  It can be fun.  It's also a bit gross.  Bathrooms are atrocious.  Everything is overpriced.  They charge you ten dollars to come in and it's kind of a shithole.  When someone farts the whole club smells it.  Drinks overpriced and sucks too.  I think someone actually lives at the top of this building.

    Still, it can be fun.

Hmmm, where do I begin? Well, I've been invited here several times and always declined due to the reviews, but this past Friday (Spanish Rock vs. 80's) I gave it a shot. Mind you, I read what my fellow Yelpers had to say so I wasn't too thrilled or in a rush to get there. Before I arrived, my friend and I stopped at Stardust for a beer (I'll review that place too). So, we arrive at about 10-10:30ish on Friday night. I almost passed the place because I wasn't expecting for it be where it was, it just kind of popped out of nowhere. Anywho, there was a fairly big lot and it was free--BONUS with a few security guards roaming about. BUT because we got there past 9:30 the cover was $10 ($10 for a dive??? sheesh!) If you arrive before 9:30, cover's $5.

So I part with my crispy $10 bill and give the joint a once-over. Yes, the carpet has gum stuck everywhere and there was only one bartender at the CASH-ONLY bar inside (Oh yeah, there's an ATM inside), and the dance floor was half full--this room was playing 80's music, BUT I did notice lots of tables and places to sit which was cool if you're gonna shoot-the-shit and listen to 80's music.

I walked down this narrow hallway, passed the $2 coat check and veered into the notorious restroom-WOW, I held it all night, didn't wanna catch hepatitis or anything...This is not a great place to, "break the seal" if you know what I mean.

So we finally enter the back room, live DJ spinning rock en Espanol, you the know, typical, Mana, Caifanes, AntiVirus...There's another 1-person staffed bar that takes cash-only ($5 for a Corona). OKAY...and there's also a billiards table.

Finally, I hit the back door for some fresh air cause it was warm in there, outdoor smoking area was my favorite cause it wasn't as noisy and YOU COULD TAKE YOUR DRINKS OUTSIDE-Yes! I don't smoke but I enjoyed escaping the sweltering heat caused by the thunderous bodies swaying to "Esta luz nunca se apagara" (spanish version of "There is a light that never goes out").

All-in-all I'd go back for the low key atmosphere (before 9:30 pm of course!), no pretentious people like in Hollywood, no long lines like at Beat It!, and I noticed lots of Raza who look like regulars that just wanna enjoy music and have a good time.

Wish I could give the place a 3.5 Oh and the funny/cool part is that you can text the bar and your message appears on the TV's in both rooms, so those were good conversation starters and a means to stay entertained.

I came here last night for St. Patty's Day to see a Depeche Mode cover band (who was awesome!) with friends. The Hully Gully is usually open on Fridays and Saturdays only, but apparently they'll now be open on Wednesdays too.

If I heard correctly (which I'm sure I did), it's $2 beers every Wednesday and the cover is $5. I still think they should get rid of a cover completely, but $5 isn't much and at least there are more options for 80's music on Wednesdays. Although, honestly, I'll probably keep going to Spike's in Rosemead for my hump day 80's fix.

Also, it was hot as balls in there last night!!! They need more fans or an a/c because we were sweltering.

The locale is dingy, with gum stains on the carpet. This is what you expect to come to the Gully, a dance dive. The atmosphere is generic if not outdated, not in the cool 80's fashion either.

The staff are friendly and attentive. The crowd is a good mix of unashamed prols. There is no air of sophistication or up tightness so often found in today's nightclubs.

The drinks here are not as cheap or as strong as they could be. It seems that the prices are off when the liquor smells more like ethanol. Next time I will go top shelf.

I like this place. The dance floor gets filled by 10:30 and there are even more than a handful that dance with the fury of life.

Come with a few friends and hang out in you favorite pair of jeans. There are plenty of cute chubby people (that is the cost of a fun life). Live, drink and dance!

Oh god, where do I start? Lemme go by categories to better illustrate why I will most likely never go again.

*Entrance*: The cover charge was overpriced *10 bucks* AND they don't allow re-entry. The butch security guard was flirting with me, but it didn't bother me that much. But my next few bullet points did...

*The Bar* When I got in, being my first time there, I ordered a jagger bomb and handed my card to the bartender to keep my tab open only to have him spray out spit while he spoke into my 7.50 drink that it's cash only and that there was an ATM. Uh, no thanks. Luckily, I had taken out 40 cash the night before.

*Bartenders*- they take forever and they look like carnival folk- missing teeth and all.

*drinks* They are very overpriced and watered down. I ordered 2 cocaine shots and they are SUPPOSED to be severely intoxicating and I downed it only to realize it was more like watered down apple juice- waste of 19.00 *bought 2* yeah, 8.50? really? I left more sober than when I arrived. Or was it that the price I paid was a total buzzkill.

*music*- it was alright, so I can't complain there.

*the crowd*- there was a mix of people there. I was hoping to see rockabilly guys and there were very few. I'm tall, so there was a shortage of tall good looking guys. I'm married, but dang it, there needs to be eye candy!

So, totally not worth it. The only plus side is that there is
    - Free parking
    - it's close
    - my bff and my sister in law were both there by coincidence, so it was pretty fun.

I usually like to stay at a club till the end, but I wanted to leave sooooo bad. Got there before 11, left at 1.

Okay, i had mixed feelings about this place, for one the cover charge, $10 seemed a bit steep for the atmosphere, the drinks are pretty standard price, its murky, its hot in there, and it seems like a place for the socially awkward.

Okay so the positive side of it, well its a place for the socially awkward, just normal people coming in to dance the work shift off, its dark its dim, not one freak'n hipster among the crowd *gets little gold star for that*, the dj wasnt bad, wasnt great but wasnt bad. It was pretty empty, and seemed to be little groups of regulars that stick to themselves. All in all, barfly enough for me... I guess what it made me realize is i'm tired of the whack ass Hollywood "scene" over run by hipster scum, or people walking around with "i'm in the in crowd" kinda attitude, all of those people could shove their "A-list" wannabe attitudes right up their ass. This place is certified for the Mutants of Table 9.

So we did the 80's night....

Plenty of free parking and 2 rooms, and the first room by the entrance is where the live bands play, the second room in the back is the "80's" room.

Guess its your usually 80s night.

This place is terrible. Where do I start?

The Hully Gully has a $10 cover charge which is WAY overpriced for a shit-hole dive bar in the middle of nowhere.

This place is really ugly and dirty. The floors and carpet look like they are 100 years old. They are also covered with gum. The entire decor is just raunchy and beat down. And yes this place is located in the bottom level of an apartment.

Drinks are way overpriced. $4 dollars for a PBR in a dive bar? You have got to be kidding me.

The music is okay, typical 80's stuff. The DJ's are terrible. It's not uncommon to hear the same song three times in a night there. Who does that? I mean really. Playing the same song three times in one night.

This place was also very empty (I understand why). I got there a bit early, so I figured the crowd would roll in a little later. I ended up leaving at 12:30 and it was still completely dead.

Overall, cover and drinks are overprices, the place is gross and ugly, music is repetitive and the scene was dead. Enough said.

haha Jen C's review. This place is pretty bad especially if you're used to the posh party scene. The place looks like a run down apartment complex which I think gives it character. It's really grungy, they have 2 rooms, and the first room by the entrance is where the live bands play, the second room in the back is the "80's" room. At least it's supposed to be 80's but the DJ seems to run out of 80's music half way through... HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF 80's MUSIC!?!?!? He starts playing cumbias... that's so lame...

Anyway, as you walk to the second room you have to pass the bathrooms -and holly hell they're disgusting--

Alright lets move on to the bar... there's only one bartender which sucks because she makes you wait forever just to order your drink. If you tip her well she comes back to you first otherwise she makes you wait even longer... W/E the drinks are alright not strong at all... Overall it's not really worth the trip if you're not from around Downey

    AND it's cash only!

My girl took me here last night with a few of our friends. I was a little on the iffy side about this "80's" club on the drive. But to my surprise, this place is a nice kickback little ROCKING CLUB....
    The cover charge is 10....
Birthdays are free, drinks a little pricey... but we all got faded thanks to the bartenders!! :) 5 dollar beers.. Music is a mix up depending on the DJ.
Lovely hits from the 80's, Indie and Spanish Rock, gets you moving to the dance floor. Dark and low key with two rooms, two bars and a outdoor smoking area.  Does get a little hot inside a little after 12, but no worries. Free parking...Our party and everyone there had a great time last night... dancing with my girl and all the wild peeps on the dance floor , drinks flowing, cool peoples, we even found a nice little after party with the locals and Dj Wilmer , no drama.... I will be back ;)

Ewww.....Me and a few friends decided to go there because the place we usually went to was being held at a new bar and we didn't want to get lost so we decided to go to a local 80's club called 80's club addiction for the first time....BAD CHOICE I'm not too picky about places I go to at all but seriously, this places is FOUL!....everywhere is sticky...it looks like a gutted out apartment complex and it's filthy....pretty much the worst bathroom I've ever been in I'm 5'7 and I couldn't even sit without my knees smashed against the door ugh the music is lame and the people are just as gross as the place I'm not a judgemental person but seriously....WHY!...it's like a home for lost souls or something...just go there and you'll see.....actually dont go there.....I'll never step foot in there again...

at least they gave free glow sticks ha

I came here to meet some friends last night. I was told that there's a cover charge of $10 to get since it it was way after 9:30pm, before that it's $5. I really wanted to leave because the whole place is just run down, looked very dirty, and just not worth of being a club.

They have a full bar with 80's themed drink specials. Beers are $5. This place is cash only so they don't accept credit cards but they do have ATM machines.

After hearing a lot of old familiar songs I decided to stay and my friends and I ended up having a good time. But I don't think I will be coming back again.

Ok so my friends used to always say lets go to the Hully Gully because its closer to us and we dont have to drive all the way to LA ....So we went and it left a lot to be desired. However aside from the bartenders missing teeth and dressed like they just came from the set of "Chain Saw Massacre", the MUSIC/DJ was great.

The place looks run down, it doesnt look like they take care of it or maybe that it the style they are going for. Who knows?

I expected to see young and hot bartenders and waitresses but I saw a lot of post-meno woman tending the bar and they didnt really fit in.

The drinks are overpriced considering the condition of the place and I dont think I will Ever go back.

Ive been here maybe around 5 times, why 3 stars you ask well lets see. If you like rockabilly bar with lots of Morrissey, smiths, 80s stuff, this is the bar for you. I attend here because its alot closer then hollwood. and cheaper too.

2 dance floors , one for 80's ( Morrissey, Depeche Mode, Smiths, Joy Division stuff) and the other for electroclash dance music. Its very nice atmosphere but a little small and gets kinda hot as well. No AC, just fans.

Ladies if your looking for attention ( regardless of Size, Ethnicity, or overall lack of Facial appeal) this is for you. One thing you will notice, attention from the fellows like if they saw a pair of boobs attached to legs with a short skirt. Not Creepy stares either, its flattering for most girls there from what they tell me.

Its a good night of dancing in a good club, not exactly a humungous " Beat it, or Clockwork type club, but if you just wanna dance, this is good enough.
