Idle Isle Soup & Salad

In this small town, this place has been around from 1922.  It sits around from City Hall.  

As you walk in, there is an old school fountain counter.
We sat down at the booth.  Be careful if you are tall.  Watch out for your knees.  Otherwise, they have tons of diner type tables and vinyl chairs.

I had their special rib eye steak.  I asked for medium but it came out a medium rare.  Normally at this point, I gamble with my life and return the steak; But, for some reason, I did not ask them to correct it.
And, it was pretty good.  

My guest had the corned beef and hash.  He said it was good.  But as man of few words,  he did not further elaborate.  

I ordered a strawberry shake.  It was pretty with the whipped cream and biscuit on top.  He ordered the banana cream pie.  
The service was great.  The server was attentive but non-intrusive.
