Very local place at Inwood. It's always a surprise, because one day you come and the staff is super friendly. But one day you come and the service is so horrible you never want to set foot in there again.
Usually crowded on weekend for brunch specials, which are a mix of hipster food and American fare.
My boyfriend likes their chicken wings, which is not in the brunch menu. Also, I you visit during brunch hours they will not cook anything that's not in the brunch menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich a couple of times, which was good, but nothing special.
The coffee here is good. And I like that they keep a glass container with dog treats by the coffee counter (but dogs still not allowed inside).
We went there b/c my husband saw it on TV. Â Good atmosphere, good drinks, but they need to revamp the vent system for the cooking/grilling smoke. Â No joke, my husband's eyes got all watery from it. Â The food was average (grilled trout from the special and grilled shrimp). Â Peach cobbler with ice cream was very good. Â I wonder it's better suited for brunch?
