Best hidden gem in the Bartlett/ North Conway area. I have been taking trips to this area for years, but sadly did not come across this amazing place until this year. I wish she had more advertisement I think only mostly locals know about it. The owner works there every day and through talking to her realized she used to be a chef. This place has AMAZING paninis, please try the cuban. Also the roasted butternut squash soup is to die for, along with the roasted tomato pepper soup. All of her sandwitches and everything else she makes is home made and amazing. Also very healthy! She has whole wheat breads and all healthy and natural ingredients. Get take out sandwitches here and bring them to Diana's Bath for a pic-nick! In the summer she has outside eating tables.
In back of where she makes the food is a store-area that you simply must check out for yourself. Please try this place you will not regret it. Can't rave about it enough.
Just stopped in for a late lunch.  Oh, my!  Sandwiches, yes  -- but so much more!! Â
I had the Cuban and it was truly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Â The ingredients melded so PERFECTLY in the pressed sandwich. Â Hubby had a steak and cheese (he's not the least bit "eat outside my comfort zone" and really enjoyed it.
The store is wonderful!  You'd never know such a cool little store was also attached!  All kinds of salsas, hot sauces (including some with some HILARIOUS names), cooking/baking utensils -- too  many to list here.  All worth taken the extra time to browse.
HIGHLY recommend this wonderful little place -- both sandwich/soup/salad storefront and the marvelous little store behind it. Â Don't miss it!
This place has the most amazing sandwiches. Â The Cuban and Anna Maria are my favorites. Â It's definitely worth the trip for a great sandwich, soup or salad. Â The owner is a very nice lady who always is eager to get that panini press going. Â It's also a cool store with sauces, marinades, snacks from around the world. Â Be sure to check it out. Â Very cool. Â A little off the beaten path but a great alternative to the chains on the strip. Â
Be sure to try her little pea salad as a side. Â It's her own recipe and tasty as heck.
We stopped in here 2 weeks ago to grab a couple of sandwiches to go. It's a new place (I think it's only been there 1 year) and we really hope it does well because the food was fantastic!
The owner is a really nice woman with a real talent for making authentic cuban paninis! I can't tell you how fresh and delicious the cuban we had was... our salad was also fantastic.
This place has sandwiches, I think soups, salads, etc. It is also a great little kitchen-type store with marinades, dressings, hot sauces, etc from around the world...
... If you're looking for a delicious and reasonably priced lunch, stop into the Island Chef. I really want tihs place to do well because the food is AMAZING and the owner has put together a great store with some inspiring items to dress up any old meal.
