I have mixed feelings about this place. Having heard it's the best sports bar in Tally, my girlfriend and I decided to come to AJ's last Sunday to watch game 4 of the World Series. Upon walking in, I was pleased to see they had over a dozen TVs and plenty of seating. The place was pretty quiet and we were quickly greeted by the waitress and ordered from the nice selection of beers on tap. All the TVs were on the football game but once the game ended, I asked if one or two could be switched to the World Series which they happily did. I would have been content except only 5 minutes later, before the game even started, the bartender turned off the volume to the game and turned the football post-game coverage volume to nearly full blast. I could tell the bartenders and the few customers were more interested in football, so instead of making it an argument, I asked the waitress if we could switch seats, further away from the bar and the other patrons. Once again, she was more than happy to accommodate and switched the two TVs closest to us to the ball game. Problem solved. Except, she informed us that since no one else wanted to watch baseball, they wouldn't turn on the volume and they wouldn't turn down the volume on the football game. Frustrated, we ordered our food and sat and watched the first few innings while listening to football play-by-play. When the food arrived, I was a little less aggravated. The wings were amazing and my chicken sandwich was really well seasoned and cooked. The Jalapeño Poppers were sub-par, but overall it was a nice meal as bar food goes. I would have loved to stay for more beer but I couldn't take watching the most important series of the year accompanied with unnecessarily loud football commentary.
The service was good, the bartender was friendly, the waitress was attentive and helpful, the food was great, but in my unique situation, I'd say it was a bust. I understand people love football here, but it was a regular season football game against  Game 4(which turned out to be the deciding game) of the World Series, and we couldn't even get a little volume on our far side of the room! If you can't accommodate more than one group of sports fans on a slow sunday night, then I'd say your not much of a sports bar.

Biggest and best sports bar in town! I love me some AJ's. They pretty much have everything from nice t.v.'s, multiple dart boards( the real kind with real darts), pool tables, dance floor upstairs, and a varitey of beers to select from. I personally always order the Big Daddy's which is like a 28oz class they give you to fill up beers for 3.00 bucks. The 2 days to go to are Flippin Tuesday's and Sunday Fun Day's. Great atmosphere!

Awesome sports bar.  It' huge inside with various games and group activities to make your night entertaining beyond the usual drinks and conversation combo.  I saw darts on one wall, beer pong on the other side of the room, and Karoake in one corner.  The beer selection has the basics plus more and there are specials varying every night which allows you to enjoy your night without worrying if you have enough money left the next day to pay for bills at the end of the month.

Service is a little slow but I think that's just a trend here in Tallahassee.  Don't want to sound like an alcoholic, but I do like a beer in my hands when the waitress comes back the second time to take my food order.

AJ's a frat only bar??! please..thats more like PotBelly or Bulls. AJ's actually attracts a pretty diverse crowd. Depends on days of the week, more so the season. You have some greek members who are semi-regulars, adults/just graduated people, adults just wanting to watch some sports, even nicely dressed students just having a drink. Good size pool room, darts, dining area with tvs at every head turn, and dancefloor on top. Something for just about any bar going taste. Not hard to mix in and meet new people during sports nights.

"I'm nice right now, man ... I feel good. If you have a drink - would you please put it in the air?" Asher Roth's I Love College is a perfect description for A J's. It's a great place to have drinks if you are a college student or was once a college student and can appreciate the scene. Obviously a gathering spot for Seminoles Co-eds.  Very large sports bar and pool table hall with beer pong also available (NICE).  They also have a danceclub on the roof top.  The bartenders and staff are super nice.  If you are looking for a place to catch a game and grab a pint in the area - this would be it.

This is the closest many of you will ever get to the Playboy Mansion.  The atmosphere and the draft beer are second to none.  If you're in TLH on game night, this is where you want to be.
