Jack Okole's Bar & Grill

Went tonight with the family for the first time. They have a Wednesday night wing special -- $5 for eight. They have various flavors, but when I am in a new place, I always just default to the hottest style. Now I usually get the hottest because wings at most places are not as screaming hot as advertised -- but these were plenty hot. Seriously. Good and hot (a guy at the next table ordered a pint of milk). The sauce flavor was solid in addition to the heat and the wings were crispy. They were also big and meaty -- eight wings was a meal.

Kids (6 and 10) both got chicken fingers with fries.Portions were generous, chicken and fries were crispy, kids were happy. I'm happy with that.

The disappointing part of the meal was my wife's order of fish and chips. Small portion of fish (though it was quite good) and mediocre fries and slaw. Tartar sauce was tremendous. Some of the best I've had.

Great experience overall -- excellent service, friendly folks, good vibe, cold beer, reasonably priced. We'll be back.

My husband and I have been here many times and I think he has tried everything on the menu.

We love the happy hour menu and we would recommend it to people.  We like to go in and play pool and watch games.  

I do get a little sick of the Reggae music, so I'm always excited when they have the country station playing.

Upon a visit to Oregon my boyfriend's sister booked Jack Okele's for her big 4-0 Birthday Bash.

The venue itself is fairly standard, sports bar feel.

The food was all pretty mediocre. The whole "Hawaiin" category confuses me considering their menu mainly consisted of bar type food. Though I did order the Musabi...

Musabi - 2.5 stars
A lot of rice, spam was cooked well but sauce tasted out of a can and full of sugar.

Burger - 3 stars
Mediocre. Nothing too special. I ordered the one with japenos (forgot the name) and the boyfriend ordered a standard cheeseburger. Patties were nothing special and buns were a-ok.

Tater Tots - 4 stars
A yummy snack to start.

The place itself was very lively this night because of our private party (the back bar seemed pretty quiet). Bf's sister is a drummer so on this night she invited all her amigos and by the end of the night everyone was in a drum circle in the main room! The owners were very accomodating and servers were friendly.

I'd come for a drink but not so much for food.
