Bombs Away Cafe

Not bad Tex-Mex food but their prices are a little spendy and if you try to go there to eat, while they have live music, good luck trying to get a table.

I often stop by Bombs for a quick lunch during the work week. Parking isn't great since it's on Monroe, but the delicious food and drinks more than make up for it. Try the Mac n Cheese on their special list made with Diablo Cheddar, DELICIOUS! Friendly bartenders and servers, great food, good environment... can't go wrong.

Bombs Away deserves an update, and unfortunately it's not going to be a move in the positive direction.

The Duck Chimichanga? Gone, as are most of the skilled-chef qualities that I used to associate with this place. Turns out, there was a change in ownership a few years back and there's not much evidence of the original business left. The food is not much more than watered down versions of "Am-Mex" cuisine.

It seems like there's still hope for Bombs as a late night hangout or an occasional music venue. Unfortunately for them, I know of a bunch of other Corvallis haunts where I'd rather spend dinner time.
