Jackson's Sports Bar & Restaurant

After reading the reviews, i've noticed a lot of things.

1) TC people talk this place up
2) It's not that great of a place

I've been here many times, and I've had my share of good times and bad times. Unfortunately the bad outweigh the good. Yes, it's a cool place with an awesome game room (4 person Ms Pac Man?!) and I love it there in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy a beer or 2. The best time is during Boat Races when they have live bands playing outside. That pretty much sums up the good.

The bad you ask? Meh food, meh service, and the prices are ok at best. You have to come back inside to order drinks if you sit outside because they always seem to forget about you. They do have a decent selection for beer.

I know I only gave it 2 stars, but I know I'll be back. Why? Because I usually get outvoted and I don't want to be left behind :)

Went back again last week to give it another try... Like before I wanted to give it a try and a ***** (5 star) however as sorry as it sounds, it's still a  * (ONE STAR), this place and the staff just don't get it! PERIOD! Sorry folks, go somewhere else.

We ventured in for a snack and beer and knew that one of the dozen or so televisions would be playing the UW/USC football game. We ordered the full size nachos which was more than enough for the three of us. I'd put these on par with nachos from Sharis; edible, filling, and Americanized. My iced tea was delightful and I received several refill offers. The place was busy, well staffed, and our server was pleasant.

The best part: upon walking in I was more than ready to be greeted by someone who would offer pizza shooters, shrimp poppers or extreme fajitas. You'll understand the sentiment and reference when you visit Jackson's (and if you've seen Office Space).
