Jazz Cafe

My husband and I wanted to celebrate my new job and wanted to stay local. It was Saturday night cover charge $15.00 WTH is this Hollywood or what. We arrived at 10:30  I think we were the youngest people in the club. They were playing old school which I knew before I went . I'm a Dance Hall Queen so I really just went hoping to hear a live band. We ordered two B52's $24.00 well we have not been out lately but that was so expensive and I could tell it was not Bailey's but a cheap version. They did not even take into consideration that people may be spending retirement checks to support the business. Mostly everyone was eating fried food it smelled very tempting but no way was I going to eat that Fry Fry after 11:00 pm, that would sabotage all my work out last week. We left at 11:30 p.m. more people started trooping in I overheard in the restroom that Saturday is a good night but I doubt I will come again. But if you like to do the electric slide and hustle and after working up a sweat eat a big I mean huge plate of fried food then you will love this joint.

I can get turnt up in here on Saturday nights! The music is always on point. I just wish there were more seating in the club and more bartenders. The dread lock guy at the bar is an @$$&#@! They are always to capacity on Saturdays with 2 bartenders - all bad. Food was very good (a little salty, but you know why).

Great Parking, Staff is super especially the Cashier and bartender. Drinks were fair price Moscato wine was filled to the top of glass which is very rare a in any club!!! The fry strip dinner was great, The jambalaya was a bit salty for my taste but I will return to try other dishes:).. DJ was played  all the latest jams the live band was very good!! I will return on Friday nights to check out the neo soul as I am a neo soul hippe!!! So this best be a good band lol.... The place does needs remodeling but I know times are tuff  and money is scarce.... A  very local crowd!!!!
