wow, my boyfriend and i went to jazzys for dinner the other nite.  the waitress was discomboodled, drink orders incorrect, writing orders on her hand. we asked for caeser salad, got a spring salad with cucumber/tomatoes (mine had a lemon wedge =/)and a few sprinkles of parmesan cheese on top with one ramikin of caesar dressing as they had to make more dressing......as we were waiting for our other dressing to come out, and as the manager/owner was walking by with our dinner order, my friend asked the waitress if she had mixed up our salad orders, at that point the owner/manager heard us question the waitress and threw us out saying we had abused her!!!  we  offered to pay for what we had ordered, but he said 'just get out'....we went to murphys down the street in shock....and had a caesar salad!!!  wierd experience as i had eaten there about 6 mos ago, and it was DEELISH (hence the reason for going back)...will not return

After reading a 5 star review in our local magazine, Pop Rocket, which included the this statement "This was quite simply the best and most beautiful meal I have ever had in Prescott, superior in every way.", we decided to try Jazzy's for dinner. There were four of us and we were welcomed immediately by the owner, Jerome. He was very pleasant throughout the entire evening.
There was live music, which was delightful. It added to the overall lovely atmosphere. Our server, Jeannie, was fabulous; very attentive.
Hubby and I started with the french onion soup, then shared the crab cake special and the flat iron special. OMG!!!! The soup basically came in a tureen! Ok, not really, but it was the biggest bowl of soup I have ever had. It was so good; lots of rustic bread and cheese. The portions were very generous. 3 fairly large crab cakes, red beans and rice, fresh sauteed vegetables, tarter sauce and corn and fruit salsa (all of that for $14!!!!!) The flat iron was cooked to perfection and came with mushrooms, onions (in some yummy sauce) veggies and potatoes all for $13!!!!
We also had a bottle of the Casson Malbec. It was very nice and the price was right; $18.50.
The only bad thing (or should I say sad) was that they were not busy. Such a shame for such a great place. I would encourage people to get out there and try this wonderful gem in Prescott.

I was at Jazzy's last night on an unscheduled stopover in Prescott.  I almost didn't go in because from the outside it looked closed and peering in there was almost no one there.  I went in though and I'm glad I did.  A few more people came in for dinner, a couple more sat at the bar and we all started talking.  I came at 5pm, next thing I knew it was after 10pm.

Jerome really knows his wines and the food was good.  The service can be a bit slow from the kitchen, but it's a wine bar, relax, plan on spending a few hours their tasting and talking and you'll leave with a feeling of an evening well spent.
