Stopped in on Monday before a 6:30p appointment in the same plaza. Arrived at 5:45p and sat at the bar for a drink and a quick dinner.  Little did I know...everything on the menu is $5.99 EVERY Monday for Dine-In only (and upcharges apply)!!  Great deal!   The place was packed!!  There were only 2 open 2-tops!!

I ordered a drink from Ollie and placed my order a few minutes later.  I mentioned I had to leave by 6:25p and he said no problem.  Time passed, the patrons at the bar were friendly, the beer was refreshing and then it was 6:15p.  Ollie checked with the kitchen who said the food would be out in 5.  Unfortunately that didn't happen and I left the bar with no food in my tummy, or in hand.  I told him I'd be back in an hour and we could try again.

Arrived an hour later and Ollie had placed my order 10 minutes earlier so it would be ready with almost no waiting.  GREAT service!!  An hour later the restaurant was half-full and service still attentive.  I had to get going so he packed up what I didn't take a few bites from and I headed home.  The food was subpar.  I actually think the cook set my order aside from earlier and may have just reheated because the 'raved about' tots were soggy as were the chicken fingers.  I read positive reviews on both so I went with a tried-and-true I thought?  They had good flavor...if that counts.

I would rate this 3 stars because I was so disappointed in the food but I plan to try again on a different Monday when I have more time to stay and eat fresh food. The service earned this 4 stars.

**If you head in on a Monday, prepare to have a drink or two before your food arrives. A $3.25 beer pint special, $5.99 meal and some open time in your schedule will probably have you reviewing Mondays with 5 stars.

Nice craft beer selection, fresh and flavorful bar food with a flight upscale twist, this is a great find! Had the Porkchop special and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection!! Pork can be tricky .. undercooked it will be tough and chewy. Over cooked and it'll be dry and flavorless.. they have it nailed and brought it to the table piping hot!! I'll be back and you should try it too!!

A good family-friendly casual restaurant with decent food and an average beer selection with a few craft taps. You'll get good bar food here, and the fish fry is something I'd definitely order again. The fries are extra crispy. As for the ambiance, I think it's kind of depressing. A bar in a strip mall, dark inside, old tvs. I tried watching a hockey game from my bar seat and was difficult to make out some of it. The dining room is open and has a homey feel. The service is prompt and friendly. I do like JB Quimby's for its offerings of good bar food, great wings and a good fish fry, but as far as ambiance and location, there are other places I'd probably choose over it for a beer and pub grub. Good place to go with a family!!!

I have to share an update to my earlier review after my recent visit. While everything I said before still holds true and my star rating remains at 4, Quimby's might possibly have my favorite wings in town. That is, of all the places I've tried so far. Crispy skin, perfectly cooked chicken and medium Buffalo wing sauce that beats out the rest. It's tangy, good flavor without the terrible lip burn that comes with the others (too much vinegar causes that I think?). I couldn't stop eating them and that never happens, usually I tap out after 3, maybe 4. And with a delicious pint of The Kind IPA on tap from 3 Heads. I'm a happy gal. Since I was on a Buffalo sauce kick, I decided to order the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (medium), which was out of this park. The roll helped make this sandwich, held up to the juices and was fluffy soft. They served it with this interesting bleu cheese sauce with chopped pickles, such a nice salty addition with that pickle brine and throw in a side of those crispy tator tots. GOLD! Cheers, America.

Only stopped in for a drink with friends, but have a few thoughts to leave here.

Great beer selection for the kind of place this is. It's a pub, or maybe a sports bar, with a typical bar atmosphere and food, from what I can tell. However, it offers many local beers on tap. I grabbed a Rohrbach's Scotch Ale.

Took a long time for me to get noticed and place the order though. Two bartenders walking back and forth but even leaning in with my wallet couldn't get their attention. To be fair, it was a busy night. I just like to be acknowledged.

If you're in Henrietta and want a good beer, I recommend it. Try to avoid prime drinking/dining times though.

Great bar food, Irish pub and cosy atmosphere.

Great place to drop by for a beer or enjoy dinner with friends. They have an excellent beer selection with a beer of the month feature on special.

I always order the pulled pork sandwich and tots because it's comfort food and yummy to boot! I have also had the grilled chicken sandwich which is pretty standard and got wing sauce which spiced it up.

They have great daily specials and the service is friendly. Always a go to spot to relax with friends over a pint.

We have gone here the past 2 Fridays.  Parking is the only negative I'm going to write about.  Both Fridays it has been difficult to find a spot.  This was around 7pm.  Other than that, the place is the bomb.

Lots of quality beers on tap or in the bottle.  I had a fish fry last week and the fisherman's platter this week.  Both were very good.  The boss had the portobella mushroom sandwich both times, and really enjoyed it.  The atmosphere is warm and the large corner fireplace is as well.

You have got to give this place a try if you haven't already!

Both nights we never felt rushed and really enjoyed ourselves.

Quimbys is your typical hole in the wall pub in many ways. The tap selection is average, the bottle selection is good, and the menu features most of the classic bar staples. The food is just better.

The reuben is my go to and never disappoints, their wings are always good, and I'm a big fan of the guinness burger when its available.  Everyone loved the fish fry last Friday as well.

There's nothing all that new or inventive going on at Quimby's, but they execute on the pub staples.  Service is always friendly, decor is always dark, and I've never waited to be seated.  Not sure why Quimby's always has a table even when the Distillery has an hour plus wait, not sure I care either.

I came here with James M., A.B., and James' family after a long day of moving. We were looking for a place with standard, but well- prepared, bar food and beer, where I could wear my ripped cargo shorts and sweaty Salvo shirt and not feel out of place.

We narrowed it down to The Distillery (Winton location) and Quimby's. We finally settled on Quimbys after James declared that it would less crowded and the food would be better.

We arrived with a party of five at dinner time on a Saturday.

We were promptly seated and I got right to work, trying to select a booze drink that could quench an insatiable thirst, which anyone who has ever moved can relate to. I really needed a booze drink! This proved difficult, however, due to the fact that there was no paper drink menu. The only way one could learn about the extensive selection of bottled beer and beer on tap was to either stare at the chalkboard above the table next to us or go to the bar and look at the taps. I chose the former and received several "What the Hell?" looks from the table around which I loitered for a number of minutes.

I settled on some variety of Oktoberfest. It wasn't Sam or Spaten. I was too tired to be picky. We ordered some wings (a dozen hot and a dozen mild) and they came fairly quickly. They were somewhat small, but fried and sauced well. While I was starving at the time,i still think the wings here are as good as any place in the Rochester, with the exception of Acme.

About 30 minutes after being seated, our waiter finally took our dinner order. Due to my fatigue and my increasing level of inebriation, I actually forgot we hadn't ordered yet and only remembered when James' mom said something. Normally, this would have been a HUGE issue, but I had some beer and a half dozen wings in my belly at that point, so it hardly bothered me.

In fact, I ended up being grateful he didn't take our order for a while, because my fish fry was gigantic. The flesh was slightly dry from being in the fryer a little too long, but the tartar sauce and lemon did what they were supposed to do, and overall, it was a very good fish fry. The fries were lightly battered and excellent with a splash of malt vinegar.

I was very impressed by my first visit to Quimby's. Although the location is less than ideal, I think this is actually advantageous because it keeps the crowds down. With all the other restaurants and stores in Win-Jeff Plaza, parking can be problematic at peak hours, but you will eventually find a spot. I enjoyed the open floor plan of the restaurant and it never seemed too loud, despite being full of people. Unlike at The Distillery, the TVs at Quimby's aren't so ostentatious that you can't focus on the conversation occurring at your table. When you're there for a game, it's fine, but when you're only there for dinner, it gets distracting.

In sum, Quimby's is a great place if you like tasty, greasy pub food, but don't like sensory overload.

Located in the Win-Jef shopping plaza, this bar/restaurant is pretty easy to find, and is open late.
I had the veggie burger with fries and a couple of Blue lights, and also tried some wings which Ive been told are the best in the city.
I probably eat 2 veggie burgers a year, and this one kicked major arse. Moist, and tasty, I chose to add some red peppers and sauteed onions, but they have a few other toppings you can chose from. It was a little messy to eat, and I shamelessly used my fork at times, but yeah, it was good as were the fries.
I had one of the wings which were smothered in a tangy sweet and sour saucy, I would have to say it was a good, but not great wing. Decent size though.
What kicks this place up a notch was the service and atmosphere. It was very laid back and even though it seemed like most of the patrons were regulars and knew each other, I didnt feel out of place and the bartender/server was a kool kat. I will definitely be back.

Next time I think I'll try the steak salad

I never knew about Quimby's -- even though I eat right next door at an Indian restaurant -- until my neighbor told me that he was a cook there. I have been there about a dozen times. I really enjoy the veggie burger -- it is huge & has many toppings to choose from. The quesadillas & onion rings are good as well. The portions & prices are great. The waitstaff is nice. There are always food & drink specials on a whiteboard when you first walk in. There is ample parking.

A little tidbit of information: Monday's are the best day to go -- every meal on the menu is only $5.95!

I hate to review Quimby's because it's near where I live and we are there every week and I would hate to have to wait for a table.
Quimby's is a great bar with tons of beers.  Every good NFL game on a Sunday.  The food is plentiful and very will done.  The Ruben is one of my favs.  Make sure to check the specials on your way in.  They offer fish frys, homemade soups, and some of the best wings in town.
The decor is dark woods with a long bar.  Tables to the side and when its chilly out a fire in the fireplace.  Great neighborhood hang out
If you go... leave a table open for me.

I haven't had the food yet.  If it's as good as they say, I'll bump this baby up to a full 5-stars.

It doesn't look like much on the outside, but on the inside, it's excellent.  Dark wood, tons of beer, and a touch of restaurant that doesn't lose the bar.

If you order the right beer, you'll get a free glass.

    /me claps
