Quirky little place serving a rather large menu of mostly American fare. Â Definitely a solid option for breakfast in an area with relatively few options. Â
Cant say I was blown away or overwhelmed, but it's certainly a nice little restaurant to have in an area generally devoid of restaurant options.  I liked the casual feel and the simplicity of the interior as well.
I, too, have passed this place for years but have never stopped. My husband discovered it last summer and wouldn't stop raving about it. We finally went together on a Sunday morning last fall. I had one of their breakfast specials, huevos rancheros. Sorry, not impressed; it was very bland. Â I've definitely had better. Their drink selection is weak and lacking.
Fast forward to last week: the hubs and I met there for lunch. The "waitress" greeted him but not me. I asked for a cheddar burger with grilled onions, a slight variation of one of their burger specials. I even repeated it to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. She said yes. When we picked up our order---no onions. My burger was mediocre at best, as I was told they make "awesome" burgers. (Five Guys is better) The fries were ok, but if I had known I wouldn't be getting grilled onions, I would've ordered onion rings.
To sum up: street parking is difficult, small lot in back. It gets very crowded, it's self-service, large extensive menu on the blackboards, the chef is friendly, if you want take-out there's a $20 minimum.
