This Jojo's Chino Hills location is near a 99 Ranch Market, with a single Neon sign that says "pizza." Â I didn't think I was in the right place until I went inside and saw the JoJo's logo. Unfortunately, the lack of sign was an indicator of the overall maintenance of this restaurant. Don't get me wrong, It is still clean. However, the booths are ripped, the carpet is faded, the chairs are uneven, the leaks in the bathrooms need to be fixed, and it badly needs a face-lift to compete as a full service pizzeria.
We came in a group of twenty, and the staff easily accommodated us.
1st Course: Antipasto Salad, Caesar Salad, Chicken Caesar Salad, Breadsticks. Each salad was big enough for 4 full size servings, or 6 smaller servings.
The Antipasto was delicious. Cold cuts, cheese, olives, red onion, served with 2 dressings  on the side. The ranch was light, yet creamy, and the Vinaigrette was so tangy and unique that we kept it around for the whole meal to dip our crusts in.
The Caesars were typical but good.
The Breadsticks were formed in a circular shape then cut into strips. They were lightly dusted with seasoning and served with a marinara sauce.
Beers on Tap: Bud Light, Stella, Â Amber Bock
Pizzas Ordered: Lemon Garlic Chicken Pizza, Jojo's Special, Vegetarian
The Lemon Garlic chicken was not lemony at all. In fact, it had no real flavor. It had plenty of cheese and all white meat chicken, but it was bland. Definitely not worth the $20+ dollars premium pricing.
Jojo's Special and the Vegetarian were both loaded with toppings and cheese. The bell peppers on both did not taste fresh, but all other toppings were great.
On all three pizzas, the crust was dense, and unflavored. Not a good sign for the restaurant's signature item.
I'll give Jojo's a second chance in a much smaller group to see if the quality improves with less on the table. Until then, it is 2 star food, 2 star atmosphere, and 3 star service.
I have tried Chino Hills Pizza (good not great), then tried Nonno's (absolutely terrible) and I kept wanting to try JoJo's.
Along with having a gorgeous woman owning the business the entire staff was professional and friendly. I went with a medium JoJo's special. Wow! It was fantastic. The sauce was very good, the toppings covered the pizza, cheese and crust delicious. There are other places in the area that I want to try but I will go to JoJo's 10 more times before I venture somewhere else.
