My husband and I enjoy going to JOJO's. Â If you are looking for the BEST Happy Hour in town, look no further than JOJO's :) Â We like to go on Friday evenings. Â Before 6:00 you can order the best wings in town at just 50 cents each. Â We hadn't tried oysters on the half shell for years but we tried them at JoJo's a few weekends ago. Â Now we order them every time we go there. Â They taste oh so fresh! Did I mention they too are just 50 cents during their Happy Hour? Â Also steamed clams. Â Yup. Â 50 cents each. Also, they have a special menu for dinners Monday thru Fridays between 3 and 6 pm. Â It includes a salad, etc. Â They have other specials too like their Saturday evening lobster special. Â Everything we have ordered at JoJo's has been very much up to par. Â Not to mention the bartenders. Â They are all very pleasant and attenative. Â Twenty beers on tap and a reduced price happy hour makes for a happy couple of Happy Hour seekers...
Review Source:Just had a great lobster dinner at JoJos.. Every Saturday they have a lobster special with a 1&1/4 lb lobster with soup or salad and 2 sides. Food was excellent, waitress was wonderful, plenty of beers to choose from and the hot brownie with whipped cream on it fed at least 4 for desert. This is a great neighborhood pub and is worth trying out.
Review Source:I did not expect to like JoJo's as much as I did, but I pretty much loved it. They are located in a plaza near the movie theater and a karate studio. They have some outdoor seats, a large bar, tables, and some pool tables inside. They also have this crazy claw machine you can pay to pick up lobsters. I've never seen anything like it.
They basically specialize in seafood, but they do have some regular burgers and sandwiches. The waitress told us the oysters were to die for, but we didn't try them. But oh my gosh, the waitress. She was one of the most outgoing, friendliest, and most knowledgeable waitress ever. I wanted to sit outside but was reluctant because we would have been the only ones out there, and when that happens you tend to get forgotten. She certainly did not forget about us. She was always right there when we needed something.
If you love beer, this is a great place to visit. Something like 30 beers on draft, and the best part? They actually know about them. The waitress asked what we liked and gave us a suggestion based on that, which was awesome. I have been to many places that specialize in beer, and the server has no idea what to suggest to you. Â Not here. They actually know.
We started out with cheese fries. Huge portion (probably frozen, but I'm okay with that), but with a lot of cheese and real bacon. These could pretty much be a meal on their own, especially if there is only two of you. By the time our meal came, we were full.
We both ordered burgers, and it was actual real meat, not the pre-formed frozen patties that other restaurants serve. Large portions and cooked just the way I like it. I ordered fries, I have no idea why because we had that huge portion of cheese fries, but they were ok.
Overall, a great experience. I can't wait to go back and try their seafood.
Awesome beer selection. Â The food is good sports bar food - nothing to do back flips over, but it doesn't suck. The entrees are OK. On nights when they do the beer tasting menus the food is definitely taken up a couple of notches and the quality is noticeably better.
The wine selection is non-existent and really poor, as are the wine glasses. Do not come here for the wine. If you are a beer lover this is your place, and the staff know their beer.
The atmosphere is casual. I pass a few other places to come here, and am comfortable taking my wife here as well (she even says she enjoys it, although complains about the wine selection).
All-in-all, I give it good marks.
