Great Tuesday night unwind from work joint. Staff is great, wine hits the spot and the food does not disappoint.

Just Vino is an extremely intimate location, nestled on the corner of Virginia and Main. Since opening they have worked to increase both their food and beverage menu. This venue is great if you are if you are looking for a comfortable location to enjoy a glass of wine or beer after work and enjoy some tapas style foods.

The staff here is extremely friendly as well as extremely helpful. Being both professional and engaging if you are a wine veteran or someone who is just getting into wine they will work with you to determine what will suit your taste.

Aside from being a wine bar, Just Vino hosts an array of events. I have enjoyed several including an Oscar party as well as a champagne and oyster tasting. These events are well designed for the patron in both experience and price. If you are looking for additional savings I suggest trying  Green Dot Sundays.

Such a cute bar. Really beautiful inside, professional service. Lots of yum wine to choose from. Sort of a strange location, not quite downtown and not quite allentown.

I've been a few times and I really enjoy the wine flights, it's a fun way to try a variety of wines. There is not a full kitchen but the staff seem to be dorm room chef creative... they make some tasty snacks with using a microwave, toaster oven etc.

A spot I love dearly but haven't put into my regular rotation... that has gotta change!

The wine here is amazing, probably the best wine establishment in Buffalo hands down. But, to my surprise the food here was just as good.

I am a beer lover, but recently I attended the Wine vs Beer event and their parings during this event seemed to have me leaning towards wine even more now. They have 2-3 events per months that have great food and great wine. Sign up on their web site to get email updates.

The service is spectacular. Mary is the bomb:) We plan to start coming here for happy hour as well. They have specials all the time. I really love this place and I plan on getting the word out as much as I can about it. Its one of Buffalo's gems.

After reading rave reviews here on the site, I decided to explore for myself by visiting Just Vino on a weekday afternoon when I was walking in the area. Being a wine buff (in the sense that I enjoy drinking wine, but I know relatively little about quality and different types) and greatly intrigued by an all wine-bar in buffalo, I was pretty excited for it. And rightfully so.

The bar is in a great location, conveniently located on main street right between allen and the theater district downtown. You could easily walk to/from either of these rather lively areas/subway stops within a few minute time span.

When I walked in, it was 2:45, 15 minutes before it was open- and I was the only person in there. One of the bartenders smiled and said "hey if you don't mind us setting up you're more than welcome to sit and have a drink". The bartender introduced himself as the owner, Jeff.  He was very friendly and sociable, asking me about myself and conversing while he was setting up, and letting me try a couple of different wines before I ordered- definitely good traits you can ask for in a bar tender/owner. I've been into many establishments before where the bar tenders are dull to people who aren't regulars.

It just so happened the happy hour special that day was 2 for 1, quite a generous deal. I bought a delicious 2 glasses of pinot grigio for the price of one. Their menu is really diverse, and the staff has been knowledge in the couple times I've been there if you need help. It's got a nice, clean decor on the inside too.

Just a word of advice, the place is a bit pricey, you're bound to spend a bit of money- the very cheapest glass is 5 or 6 bucks, and there's only a couple of those, the average is like $9 or $10 a glass. That's not unreasonable necessarily, and I totally understand it's not supposed to be some cheap dive bar where you're going in to get hammered. In my own utopian world though I would love say a $3 glass. The thing to do is try to take advantage of the good happy hour specials.

I really do love this place. I plan to make my next visit very soon.

We visited Just Vino this past Friday, to find a half-full bar with a warm reception.  The bartenders were very helpful in suggesting wines by the glass, and let us taste a few things before we made our selections.  I like that the menu was extensive, yet simple, and there were some nice noshing plates to compliment the wine, and are mid-evening snacking.

Here's where I take away 2 stars: the wines themselves were not very good.  We tried about 5 total, and I have to say, I was not impressed by any of them.  Sure, wine is an individual thing, but to be 0-for-5 was not a good sign, especially when anything red with a hint of spice will suit my better half.  While I love trying new wines, it might be a good idea to have some staple labels on the list, as at least there is something to base decisions off of.  Maybe Buffalo just hasn't arrived yet as a wine consuming town, and patrons are not demanding enough of quality products -- that could be debated for hours, I'm sure.  For my $60, I'd buy two bottles from Gates Circle for $20, then spend $20 on fancy cheeses and go home to my porch with $20 in my pocket.  But, maybe I'm just a snob.

I'd return to Just Vino for a post-concert hang or if on the way home from downtown, but I'd probably go with bottled beer (about 10 nice selections on the list) as at least it would be sure to please.

This cute little place on Main Street has an excellent decor and a solid selection of wines. While their food selection is certainly small, the quality and portions are actually quite high. Don't expect to have dinner here as the foods are just tapas meant to be enjoyed with a drink, but this is still a good place to go to leisurely drink a glass of fine wine.

Full disclosure: I have what some may call an "inexperienced palate." My friends and I know nothing about wine. We don't know the difference between an expensive bottle of Chateau Lafite or a cheap box of  Franzia. Yet despite this, the owner and bartenders (winetenders?) were polite and understanding. They walked us through the "Sniff, swirl, and slurp" techniques of trying wine, and somehow managed to pair each of us with a glass of wine we genuinely enjoyed.

If you're wanting to get into wine or if you're already a connoisseur, Just Vino is the place for you.

Such a cute place!  We went with the wine flights.  My friend asked for sweet white wines (sweeter than the Riesling pre-determined package) and they were willing to switch it up.  I asked for a wine flight of dry reds and they brought me some great samples.  Each sample was labeled and they told you which order was best to drink it.  We also ordered some small plates (beer cheddar soup dip, artichoke red pepper dip, and the antipasto plate)  Everything was delicious.  Wine ranged from $7.50 a glass to $9 on average.  There was also a premier list that was pricier.  There's a beer menu (not extensive - perhaps 10-12 beers), but great for those that aren't all that into wine.  The place was very cute and had exposed brick, exposed piping, and great service!  Definitely would go back

Love this quaint little wine bar.  Tasty small plates and obviously a great selection of wines, but they also have decent beers as well.  The service is always friendly and helpful.

I love that Buffalo has a cool wine bar like this place on Main, especially so close to my apartment!  It's really comfortable and laid back inside, with a great variety of delicious wine.  If you are a wine connoisseur, don't miss this place!  However, you probably already know about it because it is so unique!  It is great to stop in for a drink or two after an event or before a nice dinner out.

Just Vino is just the cutest wine bar I've come across in Buffalo. It's very laid back and cozy and would recommend to anyone in Buffalo or traveling to Buffalo. The menu is pretty extensive and includes beer also. I've never been disappoitned with this establishment and have hosted a handful of parties for work and friends and everyone always has a great time!

Really laid back, tastefully decorated wine bar. The bartender was extremely helpful, making suggestions and offering tastings before making my selections. I asked them to prepare a cheese plate to compliment my wine selections, and came back with a nice assortment. This was a very enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it for any oenophile living in or visiting the Buffalo area.

Introduced to this place through a relative.  What a great little place.  I walked in and it felt like any other bar as the game was on but it gave off a more refined air.  I went during Green Dot Day.  Lots of discounted wines to choose from.  Server (hard to call him that as he was so personable and fun!) knew quite a lot about each of the wines.  Cheese tray was nice but could have been slightly more exotic.  Even saying that, I can't use this as a bad comment.  It was lovely.

A very nice and relaxing wine bar. Being from out of town I wanted to try out some local upstate wines. The bartender was kind enough to prepare a custom tasting of 4 different white upstate wines. He neatly wrote down each wine on a tray and explained background of each wine in detail. It was an excellent selection. We also tried a couple of other wines he selected for us based on what we were in a mood for.  They were spot-on.  He also prepared a very nice cheese, fruit, ham, and chorizo plates.

From my experience at New York restaurants and wine bars, very few of them carry a good selection of upstate wines. I think it's a shame. I wish more places would serve local wines that would complement locally grown ingredients.

Nice wine bar.  Very small yet airy, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff.  I'm not an aficionado, but I appreciate wine, and I really can't imagine anyone else with at least an appreciation of wine not liking Just Vino.  The by-the-glass list is large.   No liquor, and no food is served, other than some light items for snacking and cleansing your palate.  Know that going in, and you really can have no complaints.  We also had wine & cheese, and breads & spreads... all good.

I went here after work one night to try some French wines.  The bartender graciously made me a custom flight of French red's.  He had to open each bottle fresh, and didn't mind doing so.

I also ordered the Spanish plate.  For $10 there is a nice portion of Jamon, a sausage of some sort, manchego, olives, fresh fruit, and nuts.  A great accompaniement to their wines.  I finished off the meal with a glass of Ortman Cuvee Eddy.   A tasty glass but $10 for a glass of $20 wine?  A bit steep.  Most of the other prices are reasonable though.

Oh my.  I am in trouble.  Just Vino opens at 3 pm, so if you can't find me in my office, you know where I'll be.  Slumped under the bar after drinking my fill of wine.  It's cute and tiny and adorable and warm and welcoming.  HUNDREDS of wines by the glass, and you can taste away til you get one you like.  Friend started out wanting a Pinot Grigio, but didn't like her tasting and ended up drinking an unoaked delish Chardonnay.  Me, I was drinking a Rhone and moved on to a Tempernillo (I heart Spain and all things Spanish).  Jeff totally rocks, and Just Vino does too!

Special Extra Star for offering me that bottle of water for the ride home, and the huge hunk of meat hanging from the ceiling.  Um, yum?
