Kamikazes

I usually don't make my way up to Ogden lately these days but a musician that I really wanted to see was in town performing and this was the bar he was going to be playing at. I heard all the talk and read all the reviews about this place before the show and the one that stuck out to me the most was the fact that it used to be an old church. Come on, a bar that used to be a church!? Sounds fantastic to me!

I loved the layout of this place. There was an upstairs so you can have a drink while watching the band or towards the back walls was some old beaten couches that you can get comfortable in.

Overall a great place to go.... oh, and did I mention cheap drink prices?

Great place to see live, local Metal bands.

The Ogden night scene = Dives, dives and more dives. But that's ok. I don't mind dives, I can pretty much have fun anywhere when alcohol is involved. I like that Kamis supports the local music scene by having frequent shows that draw large crowds. The worst part about Kamis is that without a band, the place is depressingly dead. Dead as in my friends and I are the only ones there. I think this place deserves a little more action, so people should start ditching Brewski's for Kamikaze's. Hint, hint. Plus, the D.J. on Friday nights is awesome and very accommodating of my multiple 80s requests. Long live The Cure!
