Took the family to Kelly's last night. Â We enjoyed what we ordered. Started off with the bacon wrapped scallops, very small (Who uses bay scallops for this dish?) and bruschetta, which my wife and I enjoyed. My boys only ate the garlic bread it was served with. I ordered the salmon with crab imperial. Salmon was cooked perfectly, moist and tasty. The crab imperial was good. I also had the mashed (garlic)potatoes. Very good, creamy and well seasoned. We waited a good while for the entrees to arrive, which would be my only complaint, considering it was early and not crowded. Wait staff was friendly. I would eat there again.
Review Source:Kelly's is pretty decent. I've only come here during the day so I can't say what the night "scene" is like here, but it's a good place to take a rest, watch the Phils and have a beer and some yummy bar snacks.
I have had the spinach & artichoke dip, fries, fried veggies and a few others I can't remember. The s&a dip and the fried veggies are legitimately fantastic. I would come back here just for that. The beer selection isn't bad either. They had Summer Shandy and a few other craft selections on tap in addition to the usual (crappy) suspects- Miller Lite, Bud, etc.
The only thing that was a little weird was I was seated at the bar with 3 other people, myself on the end closest to the bartender. The three of us ordered our drinks individually, and he took all of the drinks out of my $20 bill that I had placed on the bar, without even asking. I have never in my life encountered this. Usually I'll at least get a "This all together?", but no, not a peep. It wasn't a horrible inconvenience by any means, just a big service faux pas. It won't keep me from returning though.
