Went out to dinner tonight at Kenos based on the reviews on Yelp and was very disappointed.
I chose to sit in the sports bar area to get a glance at the NBA playoffs (not bad). Flat screens everywhere. I ordered a Tilapia Dinner with a side of chicken tortilla soup. Soup was good, the food was tasteless. The tilapia had no flavor, even when I soaked it in lemon, pepper and salt. The food reminded me of something a patient would get a hospital. Disgusting and Tasteless. The service was good. Never going back.
Been going to this local Keno's for over a decade... I'd say once or twice a month, less on busy schedules... I mainly dig their open bar & tasty appetizers..
Their happy hour prices are competitive & the waiters are cheerful (just make sure you get charged the right amount) - All sports, plenty beers & food, good ambiance
bit dark, but then again, that's what sports bars are about... right
Dark, cool, TVs, and a decent Happy Hour. Â I'm 40, so an "older" crowd may not be as far away for me as some reviewers. Â I liked the relaxed atmosphere on a warm April Friday at 5 pm. Â Regulars came and went while I swilled Stone IPA and ate happy hour hot wings. Â Like other reviews said, it reminds you of a small Vegas hotel/motel casino bar from the 90's or earlier. Â Not pretentious by any means. I may never be back, not because I didn't like what I experienced, but because I was just passing through Anaheim for the weekend.
