This is a solid, local, Irish bar with great pizza. Â I try to get here everytime I'm in SSH and it's always good. Â Friendly local crowd, cold beer and great thin crust pizza. Â I'm embarassed to say I've never sampled anything but pizza on the menu so my review is limited, but if you want good food, a friendly atmosphere where you're as welcome with kids as you are alone, and need to step away from the craziness of SSH, this is THE place.
Review Source:When in Seaside... Do as the locals do. My parents live down in TR and this is our go to place from October through May. Then the crowds come. However, Lunch and early dinner during the week are still fine. Great food, great beer, amazing for Seaside. You'll see everyone from local politicians to tourists, so the crowd is varied. Pizza, wings, seafood, they do everything very nice.
Review Source:I love the bar. Â I love the relaxed casual atmosphere and the feeling that everybody's a regular, whether it's true or not...just feel at home when at the bar. Â Nice bartenders. Â Happy hour is a great deal, last summer I think it was half off on appetizers and dollar off the drafts. Â The food I've gotten was always satisfying. Â Dining tables were always busy as well as the bar. Â I like the wide age range. Â I've only been in the late afternoon when the bar crowd was a little more mature which is good for me, but would like to try out the late night crowd too sometime. Â Just really like this place and hope that it fared okay through storm Sandy.
Review Source:Klee's In Seaside Heights in Late August on a Tuesday night with the threat of massive T-Storms should have been dead as a door nail. this place seems to draw the regular type crowd even. Quite a few people in the bar tonight and greeted by a nice server who definitely is a long time staple to the Klee's Seaside area. Â Specials were presented (two for dinner tonight) and the menu is a Sports Bar to better scale type place. Â TV's are plentiful and games were on throughout the bar. Â
Actually couple of nice Red Wines by the glass $8.99 a generous pours and no appetizers were tried though there was a nice list of options to choose. Â Two entrees this evening. Â Twin Crab Cakes $17.99 drizzled with a honey mustard sauce with side of Rice Pilaf which included a house salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. Â Actually everything was quite good. Not deep fried packaged crab cakes but lightly breaded and pan fried which were tasty and moist. Â Also ordered was the Pork Chops Murphy. Two Center Cut pork chops topped with heaping amounts of vinegar peppers, onions & sliced potatoes. Â Sauce was plentiful and tasty just a little on the watery side but not bad at all with a balsamic base to it. Â Pork chops were tender perhaps just slightly overcooked if I'm being critical but certainly well worth the $17.99. Â It included choice of Soup or salad; I opted for the Soup which was a white bean and ham in creamy mix. Â Really tasty starter.
Did see some Pizzas going by that looked pretty good as well and might give that a try next time.
All and all for what we were there for it was quite good and I'd return if options or circumstances permitted.
Love this place! Nice casual atmosphere and friendly employees. Pizza is fantastic and other menu items are equally as good. It reminds me of a smaller pete and eldas with better pizza and much better food. There can be a bit of a wait as they are not as spacious as some other places, but take a seat at the bar and enjoy the company of many locals and friendly bartenders. Â It's not often that the food, atmosphere, and service is all perfect!
Review Source:My family is Irish, and no matter where we go we gravitate to the Irish pub in the area. So we felt right at home at Klee's.
It's funny how typical Irish places don't really have Irish food. This has standard bar food, nothing special. I have always left here satisfied and having enjoyed my meal, so I have no complaints.
It's nice if you are tired of eating on the boardwalk.
Great place for fun, family & friends. Menu choices for all tastes, beer & wine selection good. Local pub restaurant makes you feel like a local not a tourist. Attentive service, waitress was able to accommodate fussy eaters in our party. Reasonable prices like everything else down the shore try to arrive on the early side unless you are able to hang at the bar to wait for your table.
Review Source:Great spot if you're looking for a local "irish" pub and restaurant type scene. Â Very casual, usually with live entertainment after 9pm on weekends. Â Decent food and a good bar with quite a few flatscreens so you can watch the games. Â Not pricey at all for the area. Â They serve thin crust pizza here which is some of the best in the area.
Friday nights are extremely busy between the hours of 7 and 10pm, no matter what time of the year. Â It's a very popular local spot, though it draws all crowds during summer months.
Nice atmosphere; good food; PLENTY of food; nice drinks; upstairs and downstairs -- the upstairs is quieter; but the downstairs is more interesting. http://www.KleesBarAndGr… Neighborhood Tavern Since 1930. on the corner of Boulevard & Dupont.
