I have been to Krazy Karaoke on several occasions.  Each time I came to sing it was always a good time.  The fact that we can bring in our own food and own drinks while in a private setting is always a plus.  The song selection is good with new and updated songs every once in a while.  The last time I went there with my siblings it was not the way I remembered it being.  The service seems to have fallen below standard almost on the verge of being BAD, but I guess having to deal with drunk people can make it a little annoying.  The restrooms definitely needs help - let's say renovate!   I understand the last call, but they should be informing people ahead of time instead of just coming in and yelling to get the beer out.  I understand it's part of their job and they have to do what they have to do ...... HOWEVER, there are tactful ways to get your point across without being rude.  Overall, fun times with the siblings, but Krazy Karaoke not so much.

I recently went here for a friends birthday in the middle of February and I can say this place hasn't changed at all over the years. The last time I probably been here was back in 2008. My friends and I always rent out the biggest room and it does accommodate a lot of people for a fair price. The variety of song selection isn't bad and has more than other karaoke places I've been to.

The staff? I actually haven't seen them except for a quick glance. No hi, hello, welcome, thank you for coming. I would enjoy going to a karaoke place where the staff actually acknowledged me and my friends. Oh well. Also the bathrooms need A LOT of work. In the ladies room there are only two stalls. One stall the door couldn't even close properly. It felt really dirty. If you can hold your pee, I suggest doing so.

As for the alcohol, don't expect to party too hard for too long. You can't drink after 11 or 12. I swear we were cleaning up all the alcohol around that time because it couldn't be consumed or been lying out on the table.

This place isn't terrible, but it's not great either.  +1 for convenience in it's location.

The giant room with couch seating along the wall and tables in the middle is the best room, and probably the only room I'd ever get at this karaoke place.  There's a really good song selection, and if you get that room there's tons of space for people to dance and generally do dumb things.

The bathroom could use some work.  The workers could also use a class or two in hospitality.

PS: Don't leave any valuables in your car.  Seriously.  About 2 years ago my car got broken into here while I was parked in the stalls right in front of Krazy Karaoke, even though it's the most well-lit area of the parking lot.  Sketchy.

It's BYOB, and they didn't even card everyone in our karaoke room (even though we were all 21).  Guess they just trusted us?  Also, NO ALCOHOL IN THE ROOM PAST MIDNIGHT.

Try not to lose your phone or leave any valuables in the room either, you'll never see it again.

Wow, they have a LOT of songs, and even new ones O__o
    4 stars just for that.

BYOB. and we got a large room just for us. I'm not sure how long we stayed actually... 4 hours? I don't even remember when we got home... But yeah, tank all your drinks with alcohol fast so you don't have to get rid of it when the last call goes around! That's what we ended up doing and it messed us up pretty bad. Haha, made the songs a lot more funny though.

The rooms were pretty big but the chairs were a bit worn down... lets see... sometimes the mics gave weird feedback and the remote control was a bit hard to use sometimes as well.... um? how to cancel a song? anyone know? We couldn't figure it out all night! haha.

Ive came here a couple times already and my last visit was with a few of my friends.  We got one of the big rooms for $30/hr so not too bad i guess, esp if you have a few people to split the cost.  The seats were a bit uncomfortable and kind of sunk in on one half of the room.  They have a good selection of songs but some of the numbers that we tried to input didnt work.  The workers there are okay.  Theres also a $10 deposit if you want to use their bottle opener.

I come here often. Very kind staff. Accommodating when there is equipment trouble. Would recommend to friends. Just a little expensive.

Came here for my 22nd birthday. It was awesome! We were able to bring in our own food and drinks! The room was big enough for 11 people that we booked. The aunties were very helpful especially since we kept having technical difficulties with the screen and mics. I think this is our official karaoke place when my friends and I are in the mood for it!

This is easily the best Karaoke place by far.  I've been coming here since they opened for most of our special occasions, of course until Rockband came out...  But due to the limitations of Rockband and my recent cravings to drink and sing a larger variety of rock songs we've returned for me and my friend's birthday combo celebration thingy!

Yes it's a bit on the small side, but seriously who care's when you are drinking and singing your heart out to bands that you can't really find at other more fancier joints?  The Used, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Sublime, Muse and all the Adele songs you can lose your voice to!

I give Krazy Aiea 5 stars for the pure variety that this place has!  This is Karaoke at it's BEST!

Parking does suck in the mall area, but there is some sketchy over flow parking behind that strip club that used to be Jelly's/Cheapo's.

Krazy Karaoke is one of the better karaoke places in my opinion.  Five factors for determining a good karaoke place would have to be space or ability to accommodate, song selection, comfort of rooms, quality of equipment, and staff and service.  Oops, let's not forget price.  Krazy Karaoke does pretty well with all of those.
The Pearl Kai location in Aiea isn't huge in terms of amount of rooms, so I would suggest a weekday for this one.  The ideal time will always be during a weekday, daytime before six.  You're going to have the best rate with more room availability.  Now if you're going to reserve a room or extend past six, the rates will nearly double.  That's why the more people (who pay), the better.  If you're last minute and didn't reserve ahead of time always try anyway because you might get a spot.  If not, the Young Street location has much more rooms.  Quick note, I've always managed to get a spot on the weekend last minute at the Young Street location, but of course never count on it.  Especially since it will screw me up if all of you do the same thing.  Also Young has more rooms, but less parking.  Pearl Kai has less rooms, but lots of parking.
Selection selection selection.  Krazy's is good as far as selection goes.  They have a separate book for newer songs and they update it monthly.  They also have a larger selection of older songs.  Though there's always room for growth, anyone would be able to find a song they like.  They have mostly older songs when it comes to local and Hawaiian.  Miscellaneous categories are at the back of the book.  You may have to experiment with certain songs that have multiple versions to find one that sounds more genuine and less generic.  What we do is always try the one at the top first.
Now for rooms.  All the rooms have sufficient A/C and lighting.  You usually can adjust both and lighting is usually analog and can dim for something more romantic (we're talking about songs).  The doors block the loudness, but in between songs you can probably make out the song next door.  Most rooms have comfy couches with the pleather/vinyl watchamacallit material which is good as it doesn't collect skin flakes, bacteria, or stains.  Easy to wipe down and maintain.  You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself which isn't a lot to ask.  The great part is you can also bring your own food and drinks.  They also have a sort of concession stand to buy last minute goodies for a less than bargain price.
Equipment.  So, it depends on the room.  You may have to do some fine tuning with the knobs when you get in, but nothing major.  The speakers and mic are pretty good.  You are lucky if you get a wireless mic that's good.  Remote system with song code input is a must and is the standard for Krazy's.  God forbid there are any room style places that still have the old paper hand me in process.  Cough...HMC (are they still in biz?).
All the staff I've talked with on the phone and dealt with in person have all been nice.  If you go enough you'll become friends with them.  They do a pretty good job of calling you if you're running late just to remind you.  They won't scold you or make you feel rushed.
So, in conclusion,  Krazy's is a keeper.  Whether you're exploring your vocal abilities, or just living out you're own American Idol dream with your friends and fam as your audience, Krazy Karaoke is definitely a worthy stage for you to sing your heart out on.

Been here numerous time and always had fun. I guess it also has a lot to do with the people you come here with. Its a small hole in the wall and yes the rooms are really tiny. Even airplanes have more leg room. But I have to say that they do have an extensive music list and a lot of new songs! I hate when I go sing karaoke and they only have the old fut slow Hawaiian songs. Not that I dislike those mind you but just not what I want to sing after having a few beers, otherwise I'll fall asleep. They close at at 1 (I think haha) and they will remind you about 20 minutes before hand. But beware they will just shut the karaoke machine down to basically give you the hint to get the hell out. You must clean up after yourselves, which you should do automatically. Since beer cannot be sold after 12 at stores, their policy is no open alcohol or bottles etc. when you ready to leave. We end up hanging out outside in the parking lot say till about 2:30 and the security guard are pretty cool with it, hahaha, thanks man you da best!

Oh yeah BYOB, we brougt 2 coolers!

Grrrr I can't check in here.  Says I am too far and lists it as 6 miles away!  But!  Always come here for karaoke no matter what group plans it.  If its the Genki work group, we got some crazy baller singers and a huge group of like 35.  If its high school friends, we got like 10-15.

No matter what, aunty is accommodating and always ready to help with technical difficulties!  The song list goes back a looooong ways!  I really like how the selection is quite good ranging from your rock hits like Journey's Don't Stop Believing to You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi.  I do wish they had 8675Jenny by tommy tutone (or do they?).  We also enjoy singing stuff like Through Glass by Stone Sour and Last Train Home by Lost Prophets.  THROWBACK!  How about Sister Hazel's All for you?  Such a good song.

They did do a good job keeping current with songs up until Alejandro from Gaga came out.  Haven't seen a new list since then, but definitely looking forward to it when it does come out!

Keep up the good work and we will keep singing!  Even if it is pretty bad sometimes.

Came here twice last year for both my friends birthday party's. I absolutely hate places that have no parking and this place is one of um! Not only does the parking suck but so does the service. The workers only came once to show us how to use the karaoke machine and that's it!!

The rooms where so small that no one could maneuver! I swear, my own bathroom was bigger than their rooms! outside is pretty dark with barely any lights.

I'm not a big fan of this place, and don't plan on returning again in the future unless and a BIG UNLESS its for one of my good good friends party.

Went there couple of weeks ago, wife's sister and family, came visiting from the mainland and wanted to get together with a few of her classmates, have some drinks, pupu's and do some catching up.Gotta admit... the place is located kinda in the back... in the ... corner... in the dark, and can be quite a bit sketchy if you think about it. But once you get to the well lit foyer, it's all good

We got our room, and almost instantly... we knew our whole party wasn't gonna fit, so the wife asked the friendly lady at the desk if we could be moved, and she happily obliged, which I thought was pretty good, as it was a busy Friday night We definitely filled our room to capacity with a table load of food, and coolers filled with spirits and soft drinks. We probably should'a left the leaking cooler home, cause by the end of the night, our floor was slippery as all hell. We did apologize to the staff as we left, and they kindly said ' Eh, no prob we get that all the time'!

The sound system was on point, to where it made us "ALL" sound good... thanks... I need all the help I can get. Maybe the dogeared selection books could'a used some replacing, but hey.... can you imagine just how many times they were looked through. At one point I guess someone pressed the wrong button, and our machine froze, but again one on of their friendly staff came and unfroze it with a smile and "Eh, no prob, we gettum all the time'!

Other than the dumb-ass leaky cooler, and the one frozen moment in time, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. From the two bouncer/ sound guys, to the nice lady behind the counter offering free ice for our coolers, it made my sister in laws mini reunion memorable, and fun.

OK so, me and my friends went to Krazy Karaoke to have a birthday party.

First of all I'm never going there with the bad sound system.

After the party, we were hanging outside. Outside of krazy karaoke is so dark and there are no lights, or safety lights around. Some aiea boys wanted action and picked a fight with us. Luckly the security guard was there.

I wouldn't go to krazy karaoke ever again.

I never had the problems others had but now I'm skeptic. However they do have cheaper rates then HMC and are more accomendating so I'm still a fan. At least untill I get the drenched couch room.

Me and the bffs USED to love this place, but our last few visits were absolutely disappointing.

On our most recent visit, we got a small room (supposedly for 4 people) and it was the size of a hotel bathroom! Add in a cooler of drinks and a few plates of food on the tiny table, there was barely enough room to navigate through the room. Microphones didn't work half the time, and the speakers made popping noises and were clearly blown out. Not even 20 mins into our karaoke session, we all agreed that there was a strange smell in the room. After looking around the room for a few minutes we all stood up and took a whiff of the couch. Ewwww, it smelled of dried up beer and pee!

So we asked the gals in front to switch us to another room. The staff here are really nice and are aware of the "faults" of this establishment so they upgraded us to a huge room in the back. But then the karaoke machine in this room wasn't working properly so we were moved AGAIN. Holy moly, thank goodness it wasn't a busy night...how many rooms do we have to go through until we can actually SING?

Anyway, third time is a charm right? Well, kinda. It was another large room, but at least the machine worked, and the couches were clean since it wasn't upholstered in cloth like the first one. Half of the seats were duct-taped as Sarah M. mentioned, but it was only the four of us so we just sat on the ones in tact LOL

We ended up making the best out of the night but swore that we'd never go back again. Prices are pretty high considering the place is super outdated and run down. Parking is also an issue at this location, most of the spaces are taken up by the surrounding restaurant patrons and 24 hr fitness clients. I'm giving this place 2 stars only because of the friendly and accommodating staff.

ok....Not sure if there's another Krazy karaoke in Pearl Kai because the other person gave it 5 stars....or it's probably the owner who wrote this. All I got to say it that this place is bad even for criminal jail cells. I can't believe this place is not shut down for the lack of sanitation. As soon as I entered the hallway, I knew something was very wrong.....It makes crackhouses look like taj mahal! Freakin place was so run down and dirty, they had duct tape on the chairs and cockroaches running around like they run da place. To top it off, none of the equipment was working for an hour in the room....wasting our $40.00. When we asked to be refunded for the hour that was wasted due to their negligence, they said that they would give me a gift certificate....Um...did I mention that this place gave me the creeps? I told her I want the entire refund for 4 hrs. because this place is very unprofessional and ridiculously run down. I got my refund and never looked back. Too bad no more good Karaoke places leeward side!

Who wants to come sing sing with me?!  I haven't gone here in so long, but it's the best place for karaoke I've found.  (The Krazy in town is pretty good, too.)  They have the best song selection, period.  See that dot?  That's the period.  Better even than Karaoke Hut.  Workers are pretty friendly too.  C'mon guys- wouldn't that be fun?  A booze-fueled karaoke yelp party?!
