You have slim pickings up here in Blue Ridge, but if you want some pizza, this place is a good one to get it at. We had the bocce? which was the meatball pizza. It was a relatively good size and was generally well prepared. We also happen to get the blue chips which is a gigantic portion, but definitely a pleaser since the 5 of us were pretty starved.
Review Source:La Pizzeria at La Cucina Rustica offers your typical American-Napoli pizza fare, and probably the best pizza for the area.
We had a bocce pizza (meatballs and basil for toppings, and had it drizzled with balsamic vinegar. This really added an extra kick to it, and added a great taste to the pizza. The large was able to feed three adults and two kids comfortably.
I don't remember the exact name, but we also had the chips with blue cheese and balsamic on them. It's a huge portion, and something I would recommend.
I saw they had a bocce court out back, but it was only for team members. I think if they opened this up for patrons, they probably have even more business.
The prices were reasonable, and the service was good. Definitely a good spot off the main drag in Blue Ridge.
This is by far our favorite pizza. Â Too bad we have to travel 700 miles to get it. Â Always busy but portions are huge. Â Good selection of tap beers, including craft beers. Â The staff is consistently the same people for the last two years since we have been going there about twice a year. Â Must mean the owners treat their people right as well.
Review Source:Can't believe no one has rated this place. Although it was so busy when we arrived that it's definitely a local's secret. Amazing pizza crust & toppings. The crust is just the right thickness and crunchiness. The cheese is the right texture and holds well with topping. What a gem. Can't wait to go back and visit family in the area.
