Lady Luck Casino

Stopped here for the RV park. $20 per night. The park was really clean. All concrete pads, grass was well maintained. Of course we had to put a few coins in the slots. They were really tight. The people were very nice. The Casino was pretty small and clean. Oh well! We would use this as a stop over again.

Tony and I crossed over into Missouri about 11:30am so we figured we would drive the 15 miles to the Lucky Lady Casino on the Mississippi River to eat lunch at their restaurant "Otis & Henry's Bar & Grill"...we have never been here before so we figured that would be a nice restaurant since it was at the Casino.  So after crossing into Missouri on Rt 61 from Arkansas.."King Cotton Highway" we turned on Gertrude (our GPS device..yes I named her because I do argue with her from time to time..)
     In Caruthersville, MO it was really easy to find the restaurant. The poor town was almost dried up..but there was several signs pointing to the Casino..apparently the only sign of life in town!!!
     We parked in the parking lot and took the short up hill walk to the Casino Building. The Casino itself is located on the river inside a riverboat.  A man in a courtesy van approached us to see if we needed a ride (most patrons are elderly) I thanked him but told him we had this...and we started our trek to push on..(in reality a small knoll but in an area with all flat land...a hill to the locals)
    Once we arrived at the Pavillion Building, it was so lovely inside. There was several seating areas, a pool table and restrooms. There is also a bar (that was closed) and the main attraction "Otis & Henry's Bar & Grill"..and then the gang plank down to the building before you get to the actual riverboat. We stopped at the restaurant area in the Pavillion and didn't make it down to the casino itself.
   Most casinos are the same...gaming tables and slots! I made a New Years Resolution in 20011 Not to gamble..so far, so good!!!
But I do miss the sounds and lights and the action!!!
