Los Portales Mexican

Not what I would consider authentic Mexican food - or a least good Mexican food.  Most of the Mexican places I go to are in Chicago, which has some really good restaurants.

Nonetheless, the food wasn't good at all.  The service was okay.  However, the interior was designed well.  It looked nice.  That said, I would have rather spent my money at McDonalds.  The chips and salsa were not homemade.  The salsa is a bit watery like the stuff you'd buy from Tostidos - but it did taste okay.  

The dinner was nothing to write home about and I guess that's why I'm having a hard time describing it.  It was edible.  That's about all I can say.  The worker said this place has been around for a couple years, so someone must like it.
