A Greek/Italian establisment where the old Road Kill Cafe used to be in downtown North Woodstock, NH. Â Prices are reasonable, but.....
I had the Spanakopita and to be honest, I thought it was pretty good. Â Decent portion and nice flavor to it. Â The pastry was nice and crisp.
However, my wife had the Lamb Stifano with a baked potato. Â Only four small pieces of lamb in the expensive ($18.95) dinner and they were overcooked. Â It seemed like they were pre-cooked and then heated up in a microwave. Â The meat should have been tender but was tough. Â The baked potato was fine, except that half of it was black and should not have even been served.
The place has potential as the menu has a little bit of everything on it, but unless they figure it out, this is a stay away from place.
The Landmark has an identity crisis. Â It doesn't know if its Greek, Italian, or American food. Â The menu makes that obvious and is all over the place.
Based on the wait staff, decor, and music, I decided it was going to be a Greek restaurant for me. Â I felt that was probably how I would get the best quality food.
I had the Gyro platter. Â It came with a large salad, pita, and gyro meat. Â Though the pita was cut up into wedges and the meat laid on top. Â I was expecting a stuffed pita. But overall, the flavor was good with all the food that came on the plate.
Overall, its okay. Â There are probably more memorable places to eat when in the area and for the price, I would skip next time.
Was in Franconia for a white mountain vacation and tried this place for dinner one night. Pretty good food for a tourist town.
The menu is a combination of greek food, italian food, and american food. Pretty bizzare.
We tried the fried onion ring and it was ok. Lack some flavor.
I had the gyro platter. The meat was flavorful but I don't think they actually had the rotisserie of gyro meat. It was more like a meat patties. My husband tried the seafood pie and it was just ok.
While vacationing in the White Mountains with my daughter, we stopped here for breakfast. Â The service was fast and friendly, and the food was very well prepared and very delicious. Â My daughter still raves about the French Toast, and it has been nearly 2 years since she had it. Â The next time we are in the area, we will absolutely be stopping at the Landmark II for a bite to eat. Â Highly recommended!
Review Source:Was in NH on vacation, saw this walking down the street and we were hungry, menu was varied and had something that appealed to everyone.
The food was AWESOME!  Who knew good greek food existed in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.  Good portions, fabulous avgolemono  and don't miss dessert!
I wish I could get lunch from there today.
