I want to like Larrys. Â My dad drank here when he was younger. Â I had my 21st birthday party here (only because it was close and a short drive, no i didn't drive). Â Its small and kind of dingy but not dirty. Â You can just tell it's old. Â They have a pool table and a table that has some kind of game I dont know the name of, they also have darts. Â I think they have too much going on for such a small bar because there's really no place to play these games when it's crowded. Â They have a limited selection of alcohol and the bartenders don't seem to know any specialty mixed drinks. Â I have had a really friendly bartender and a very miserable one at this location. Â Both women. Â I don't prefer to frequent this bar but will if my friends are going. Â It's better than staying home.
Review Source:Larry's is by far, one of the best dive bars the 'burbs has to offer. Â To understand its awesomeness, leave all of your dive bar preconceptions behind and take a trip to the local suburb watering hole.
As you walk in you are greeted by wood paneling and not only that; the walls are completely covered in Miller Lite paraphernalia (heck yes, mirrors!), Coors Light paraphernalia, Budweiser paraphernalia and Nascar stuff. Â The only show you're watching on TV is replays of Nascar races and maybe some golf. Â Everybody is real chill and laid back so there's no pretentiousness here. Â They have a shuffleboard table, digital jukebox and a pool table (only costs $.50!). Â
The bartenders are really nice and they definitely take care of you. Â If you can't handle Miller Lite, Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light or PBR, this is not the place for you. Â Draft Budweiser is $1.60 something and PBRs are about $2.50. Â If you're feeling adventurous, head on over for a good time with the locals!
