Interesting place with all the firefighter memorabilia and the fireman's pole still there.
I went with a group of women and they accommodated all of us with separate checks and good service. The food is great for a pub. Â I ordered the Swiss Burger Dip (not sure of the exact name), which was excellent. The au jus was rich and flavorful. I didn't hear a single complaint from any of the women in our group, except that most couldn't finish their meal due to the size. (Hey, I shouldn't have finished all of mine either, but that didn't stop me.)
The parking is very limited and I had a difficult time finding space on the street that wasn't a block away, especially since it was raining pretty hard last night. After three times around the area, I lucked out with street parking that was close. That's the only downside to this place.
Let me start by saying I have eaten my away America when I come to wings. The hottest wings I have ever eaten remains Zaxbys, these are very close second. I don't thing my stomach going forgive for sometime. I would gladly have given the wings back if I could have.If you want have your own version of man vs food order zone 12 wings. Now the clam strips. The we're good not rubbery or over cooked but instead of golden brown they were dark brown telling me that the oil needed to be changed. Â Loved the atmosphere. The fire pole was awesome. The service was great. The tap selection was good.
Review Source:This is a place I have been wanting to go to since it opened. So 10 of my friends and I fire up the Harleys and head to Leatherheads. They have a nice clean and cool bar with outdoor dining.
We get some beers and are order some food. I order a blue cheese burger medium rare with bacon and fries.
10 minutes later the waitress comes back with the burger and I look at it and it looks pale and weird so I get the waitresses attention and say hey what is this? She is like it is a Boca burger and I am like WTF??
She goes on to say yeah the cook was wondering why anyone would want a Boca burger medium rare.
Ok so I am 6' 4"' and 300 Lbs. dressed in all leather with a patch on the front of my vest that says I hear voices and they don't like you so I do not look like a vegetarian adn why would I order a Boca burger with bacon on it.
It might have been her first day I dunno but it was like the Twighlight zone.
I was surprised to find Leatherheads on the way back from a trip to Camano Island. We were craving fish and chips, and a gallery owner on Camano had provided a few recommendations.
The place was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon, so we were quickly seated outside. Our waitress was great - cute, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We were happy to see some great Happy Hour deals on drinks and food. I ordered the greek plate - simple humus and tzatziki served with grilled pita, olivers, feta, olives and onion. For a bar, it was pretty darn tasty. The cod fish and chips was very good. Not greasy, good breading and happy to have some old school steak fries to soak up the malt vinegar. Great beer selection and cocktails deals during Happy Hour too.
Overall, very happy with the experience. Would stop back in again next time I"m in town.
I had dinner at this place last week. All if the family raved about the food so I was excited to go. The menu has a variety of foods from gyros to burgers to pizza. The ambiance is really cool with old memorial stuff hanging on the walls from old firehouses and fire fighters.
Since this place is actually less than 1/2 mile from the ocean, I expected seafood to be a big player on the menu. It kind of was. Maybe about  a total of 30% of the menu. I expected the menu to have more choices of the local seafood.
The menu also had oysters so I ordered the pan fried oysters. They have a "oyster burger" which didn't sound plausible or very appetizing to me so I nixed that idea.
The pan fried oysters just didn't look very appetizing. The coating/batter texture had a very tough chewy batter and when eaten with the oysters produced a very mushy taste. The sweet potato fries that came with the oysters were pretty good. The sweet potatoes mixed with a beer would be an ok happy hour mix.
If you want a quick place to eat it's an ok pick. Not the best and not the worst. When I'm in a place that is as close to the water as this place was and when I order seafood, I expect it to be very fresh.
You'll have to eat at this place to make up your own mind.
This has got a great small town, family feel to it! The building is the old Stanwood Fire Department building and is filled with firehouse gear. On any given night you've also probably got a handful of firemen or EMTs and their families filling up the joint. Just a great feel from the place!
Burgers were pretty good, as were the fries. Pretty good beer selection as well. Good place to take friends or family for a casual dinner/beers out.
Well now I will tell you that the place is clean, the waitress is useless if there is three or more tables to be served. The burger lacks taste and the bun Is a flat dry disk. Please do not over salt the thing. The fries are very good. The waitress does not seem to know that an empty glass is an invitation to check on you. And hey sweetie while your at it the first beer is gone and at the prices getting one more to the table will add to the bottom line.the bar tender seems to see this but lacks motivation to tell waitress ,um? And again please dear waitress don't ask someone if they want Their change. I knocked off two bucks off of the  15% I was about to leave you before this question.
Review Source:we sat in the bar - there is also a family dining/music area upstairs - the burgers were good - but the fries, the fries are fantastic - big fat steak fries - crispy outside - fluffy like a baked on the inside. Â Fantastic decor - with the firehouse theme - very comfy. Â For sports fans, there are two large tables with chairs all around to watch the big screen - neat and unique seating. Â Would recommend and will go again!
