Lovely spot. Â Nice waitresses, good beer, clean, friendly, everything you could wish for in a craft brewer!
UPDATE ON 4-19-12: Â Went here again this afternoon. Â Arrived about 5:15 or so and the place was packed. Â Ordered beer and wanted the Cowboy Caviar. Â We were told that they were out. Â What? Â You open at 2:00 and by 5:15 you're out? Â Especially on a Fri.? Â Weird.
But........waitress came back and told us there was ONE, and only one, order left of Cowboy Caviar. Â Yea! Â However, when we got it was rather disappointed to find that the "caviar" was in a parfait glass (smallish) and there was a small smattering of tortilla chips around the bottom of it on a very small plate. Â Well...........whatever..........but then about 20 minutes later - we saw 2 more orders leave the kitchen? Â Huh, did someone run out for something and they made another batch? Â Again, whatever..........
Had never eaten here, and will not ever eat here again, because we ordered two Reuben sandwiches one with cole slaw and one with potato salad. Â I had the turkey pannini. Â Was truly shocked when these sandwiches came out because there was absolutely NOTHING to them, i.e., maybe - at best - a couple of pieces of meat, cheese, and - that was it. Â You could add your own 2 smallish tomato pieces and my son wouldn't eat the cole slaw because he said it was not good (which it wasn't). Â The potato salad was also left there. Â Menu said bread was from Karl's Bakery which used to be really good in Everett but, honestly, this bread was like something from the grocery store (maybe bought with the more cowboy caviar makings? Â because it took an incredibly longggggggggg time to get these tea party sized sandwiches). Â We never did get the cheese bread we ordered.......sigh..........but probably just as well given the rest of the food we received.
Sad, really, because I would rather be able to take my own food in (like a pizza) and drink their bear - which is good. Â But you can't, now, because they "offer food." Â Well, not really...........that needs major, major, major improvements. Â
Of course, on a Fri. evening, it was very loud - dog barking (which I didn't even know you could DO unless it was a service dog - which it wasn't), no ventilation so when the guy at the next table went out for several smokes - it literally stunk when he came back in.
In the future, we will make sure to only go here when the door to the outside is open and people sit outside.
Good beer but that's about it. Â Not even the service was good today.
AND PLEASE NOTE - CASH ONLY! Â No credit cards, no checks, blah, blah...........CASH ONLY (and they have an ATM which they get revenue off of if you're short).
Skookum Brewery opened at the old Bayliner Building by Arlington Airport a few months ago. I have been a fan since they first opened in '07 at their Home Brewery. My husband and I buy a keg every month for our garage turned "Raunchy Bar". Only problem is, our dog Grizzly doesn't understand the reason for the new location as he enjoyed the walks on their home brewery property. (Sad Woof) Perhaps they can recreate that for the pups later! The new hours and being open Wednesday~Sunday are much better for their growing business and I'm sure their neighbors appreciate their relocating! :) Can't wait to try out their floor shuffleboard game!!
Ron & Jackie are a Wonderful Couple and have the Best Beer in all of Washington!!!!!!!
