The food is awful. Just get a beer and wait for your meal on the plane. If you're ready to spend money for a meal, may as well pay for the one offered on your plane.

Good location and atmosphere. Stopped for ham omelette and breakfast and it tasted like they microwaved a frozen dinner. Good tvs to follow news and sports and I would guess they don't microwave the beer. All in all, okay for airport food but would not stay in business without a captive audience.

Wow the food is astoundingly mediocre here. No wonder this place was wide open in the terminal when all the other restaurants/bars were packed to the gills. Beer was fine, had me a nice BK lager, but the food was just BLAH. I had a cheeseburger with pepper jack and salsa. To me, salsa just does not work on a burger. But they only had one other burger option. I supposed I could have tailored my order. Alack, I'll return if this is the only open restaurant in the terminal...again.

I stopped here on my way to Germany for a beer and something quick to eat. I ordered a personal pizza. When it got out to me it looked (and tasted) like one of those frozen pizzas you buy at the store. I was expecting a fresh pizza. Oh well. At least the beer was good. Once I came back from Germany I decided to stop here again and have a beer before my flight. I ordered the nachos. You could tell that they just put the topping on the chips and put it in the microwave. If i ever fly through NY again, I would only come here for the beer. If I was hungry I would just stop at Burger King or something.

This place is a good stop for typical sports bar-type food while waiting for your flight. I had the French dip which wasn't too shabby. I felt the fries could have been better - almost tasted as though they had been kept in the freezer too long.

Oh, and watch out - they make their cocktails STRONG!!

The food here is terrible. I had the roasted beef au jus, which was basically roast beef lunch meat on a bun. The waffle fries are either baked, or sat under a heat lamp for a long time; or perhaps both because they weren't even warm. My wife had the portobello mushroom sandwich, which was soggy. Also at the able was a Brie chicken sandwich, which was stated to be decent. All agreed that the fries were a mystery and not good.  Service was not attentive and spent most of the time chit chatting in the kitchen service window. Should have eaten at Wendy's next door, as 40 dollars for the aforementioned "prison quality food" is far too much. Eat somewhere else.

I came here before I flew to Atlanta. I got here around 11 AM. I had to wait about 1/2 hour until the kitchen opened. I ordered a Samuel Adams Lager ($9.19) and when I could I ordered some Buffalo wings ($10.99) (8).  The food did not take too long to be ready.   The bartender was professional and courteous.

Horrible food, high prices, slow service, and over all a thumbs down. Avoid at all costs!!

The choices in an airport are limited, as getting in and out is a project.

It's too bad that while one is held captive that you need to be treated to prison quality food and sluggish service.

Stick to TV and alcohol here and you'll be fine

The food is average for an airport, and the service is slow for an airport.

I was very hungry before my cross-continent flight and this did the trick. Plus, I got to watch sports while I ate.

I had a huge beer, a club sandwich and fries. All was fine. Service was pretty prompt so I could make my flight.

The upholstery I sat on was ripped and faded. Needs a makeover.

Not sure what people were expecting here but for an airport sports bar, food and service were fine.

    RIP OFF!!!!

I stopped here the other night for dinner during a layover since it was one of the few places that was opened.  There was nothing good about my experience there.  I ordered nachos with chili and I wanted to ask where is the chili but the server was more interested in closing out for the night.

Upon receiving my bill I noticed what I was charged was more than the price in the menu.  I brought it to his attention and he told me there must be a typo.  He looked at other menus and look at that they all had the same price as mine.  He went further to explain that prices must have been changed by corporate and I could speak to the manager.  That was no help either!!!!  The manager said corporate must of changed the prices and they could not make an adjustment.  I have never heard that in the past but no one was helpful.  It was not like I was making this up and wanting to pay less, I wanted to pay the price in ALL of their menus.

This place is overpriced and run by theifs!!!!!  I will never go back even if it was the only place opened I would not go there.

Awful food. The food is not fresh it is all pre packaged stuff that they open and put in your semi - plate. Example the pico de gallo dressing for the quesadilla. The chicken tastes like a meat that was frozen and quickly heat up in the microwave. Lots of unhealthy sodium. The guacamole looks like sour cream mixed with some avocado

Huh. My experience was not nearly as crappy as the consensus; guess I got lucky.

We'd just completed an international flight involving a five-hour time change, customs, and the grody inner hallways of JFK - and we were haaawngry, yo. It took a minute to get seated, but whatever.  Our server was super nice but did forget a few condiments, and we had a weird 10-minute break between the first two people's food arriving and the rest.

But the food - crazily enough, it was actually pretty good. Chicken quesadilla had craptons of tasty chicken and was crispy on the outside and was huge; a pulled pork sandwich had big juicy chunks of honestagawd meat and came with really yummy sauce on the side; and the chili on the nachos was nicely spicy. There was also a giant salad stuffed with all manner of good things, and topped with half an avocado and bacon crumbles. Nothing spectacular, but it was all tasty and plentiful.

Prices were normal-rapey, nothing too crazy for an airport, and practically reasonable for the quantity involved. Not too bad, on the whole.

My wife and I were returning from vacation overseas and stopped in here for a quick bite.  There was nothing quick at all about this place.  Our server was polite and as attentive as he could be given the lunchtime crowd, but  from what I could see he was the only server working 20+ tables and a bar!

We waited 15 minutes for drinks, another 10-15 to order, and almost 40 for our food to arrive.  By the time we started eating we'd been there for over an hour.  If our connection had been any tighter, we never would have made it!

When the food did finally arrive, I could not figure out what had taken so long.  My wife had ordered a salad--a SALAD--and my burger looked and tasted suspiciously microwaved.  Cold, soggy fries were tough to wash down as our drinks had run out before the food arrived and were never refilled.

I think next time we might just stick with the airplane food.

Had to pick from a large selection of empty un-bussed tables. I was told to pick one and someone would clean my table. 5 minutes later someone removed the dirty glassware, but no wipe down of the table. 5 minutes after that I wrote this review and left.

For food Avoid this place at all costs! If booze an sports are all you're after it might  suffice.
I ordered the cheddar bacon melt and it took me back to my middle school cafeteria; disgusting then, disgusting now. Burger tasted like it came out of a plastic wrapper precooked within an inch of it's life, frozen and then microwaved. The fries had all the charm of a tater tot found under a sofa. I repeat Don't Eat Here

I have been here a few times, since I travel quite a bit, and the place is consistant, clean, professional and quiet. Perfect for a pre~flight drink.

How is this a Sports Bar in an airport terminal?

I forgot to review this place
    Easy to forget .
And this place was a forgetable experience..

Empty place and all four waiters are running around...
    But....Not towards us!
No, they were running around in the back of the restaurant doing something
    Finally...they come to us...

Ordered there breakfast special from a very limited menu.
The meal came and the potatoes can be used for golf balls...
They were so hard, cold and white..
    Only one cup of coffee.
Then they came by at the end of the meal to ask for refills.
You betcha and make it to go...
We already paid the bill...so give us our coffee....
McD's is so much better then this place.

This place really has the perfect business model: not rely on return customers, serve shitty food, charge a lot, repeat.

It's a restaurant in the airport, what do you expect?  If you said not much- you're in luck!  Legends will meet or exceed your expectations.

I ordered a chicken avocado salad- bagged lettuce, bagged chicken, bagged cheese, $11.99- mmmm mmmmm mmmmmmmmmmm.  Sorry I'm drunk.  But who cares?  Im flying on the plane, not flying the plane; know what I'm saying?

So anyway, if you're in the delta terminal near gate 25 and want to drink beer and have a salad or a burger, stop on by Legends.  But i wouldn't
buy a plane ticket just to eat here....or would I?!

    ...

    No I wouldn't.

This place is over price for a place that is over priced (jet blue terminal).  I understand the economy of monopoly at airports. But this business spot is the "mother" of monopolies. High price with Low wage earners.  The food and drink was both under par and bad.

the legends sports bar at jfk in new york is the absolutely WORST place  EVER. save your money, walk around the airport, stop at any other eatery there and it will be better. i am not even talking about the food-never got to eat any. talking about the poor service and nasty attitudes. sat there for 30 minutes with my husband-10 waiters and one stupid, lazy waitress who, when i asked her which waiter was was for our able she said, i dunno, ask one of them. when, after 35 minutes my husband went over to one of the waiters and said can we get someone to take our order, the waiter said he's coming! he never did. we left after 40 minutes of them running around, everyone complaining about how long it was taking. by that time we couldn't even go to other restaurant because there was no time left. we went to kiosk and got a sandwich. really terrible place.

Recently connected through JFK on our way to Syracuse.  Had 3 hours to kill and 2 tummies to fill during our layover.  I'm usually pretty good at influencing my boyfriend into not trying crappy restaurants out of desperation but I sure failed this time!

He'd never admit it, but it would have been better to walk around JFK for an hour looking, hoping, praying for a better place to eat.

A couple bites of each plate component were all I needed to reach a verdict.  The breakfast panini wasn't terrible, though it was super-greasy and I typically avoid egg yolks.  The potatoes though, ugh.  They arrived cold like little stones and were barely seasoned.  Just terrible.

Saved by pleasant early morning service from Carlos--2 stars.

Yeah...no.  I highly recommend you pass on Legends Sports Bar.

Sure, you're stuck in the airport, and sure, you're expecting to get screwed a bit on the prices as a result.  But at least the better airport restaurants can give you a decent meal for all that dough you're forking out.  Legends, well, does not.

The food seemed to be of even lower quality than most fast food restaurants.  I was left regretting that we didn't just eat next door at Wendy's -- and for the most part I've sworn off fast food for life.  The pizza was obviously frozen and re-heated -- worse than a convenience store microwave.  My "Chicken and Brie" sandwich had no visible brie on it, and the "grilled" chicken was, again, obviously frozen and microwaved.  Even the nachos were worse than about any I've ever had, and just imagine how hard it is to screw up nachos.

The service was okay, and the beer was...well, cold, and beer.  But at the end of our "meal" the total bill came to $80, and we were left feeling utterly ripped-off.

I've traveled a lot and know the ropes of airport food.  My expectations were not high for Legends.  It's in an airport after all.  But it still managed to leave me feeling utterly unsatisfied and, well, disgusted.  I cannot say enough about how poor the food quality was.  If this were a $5 fast food joint I would still think twice about giving them our business.

I travel through JFK on a semi-regular basis, and had been let down by Legends before.  This most recent experience was the final straw.  I will walk to the other side of the entire airport if I have to to avoid eating here again.

Three words: what customer service? Legends Sports Bar needs Kate Spade (if any) customer service or Emily Post Etiquette.

After much debate of endlessly walking in Terminal 5 in search for a decent restaurant at affordable prices, my party of two including myself hesitated to patronize Legends Sports Bar while another opt for Wendy's. Big mistake. We were instructed to sit and wait but immediately selected our breakfast order, yet all the wait staff ignore us like statutes or stone. We waited and waited for an eternity to be served, despite there were four very available waiters who none were willing to do their job!

Legends is LEGENDARY for their non-existent customer service!
