After we discovered this lost treasure we have not been in any other place around there. My boat is in Moss Landing so we go there now after every sail or boat work day There food is really great if you like it spicy or not. It's fresh they are fast. Pad Thai and all variations of seafood and vegetarian are worth a try. And their spice rating system 1-10 is working so be careful :-).
Review Source:Authentic Thai cuisine near Salinas! Â I'd rather drive 20 minutes from Salinas to this restaurant than eat at the nearest so called Thai food in downtown. Â This is by far THE BEST thai food in the area!!!
I forgot all the names off of the menu but the curries are great! I loved the beef green curry...and the Pad se ew, my favorite, was very delicious!
We use to frequent this place during lunch hours and boy o boy i must say i became a huge fan of thai food after trying lemon grass. Being a vegetarian just never crosses my mind while ordering from here. The entrees are of pretty good portion size and be very careful they ask you to rate the hotness of your food on a scale on 1-10 i usually go with 5 or 6 anything above 7 be sure to have some towels and tubs around to catch the sweet....not a joke..i mean literally they make it that hot. Apart from that, people used to love their fresh sea food. Desserts are lip smacking and definitely something apart from the regular grind..
Review Source:One of my favorite places in Sacramento for lunch or dinner. Â Always order the fresh rolls and a thai iced tea. Â Then listen to the specials. Â The do not come up with a new dish as often as I like, but it does not matter that much, because I absolutely love what they do serve.
Favorites: Pad Thai, Ahi, Green Curry. Dessert: ALWAYS Saigon by Night
This restaurant can be a great place for a romantic dinner (cloth napkins, great service, very nicely decorated) or a place for a girls or guys lunch. Â Whenever you may go, you will enjoy it!
Do not forget to save room for the Saigon by Night! Ice Cream and Vietnamese Coffee.
This place is legit. One of my two favorite Thai restaurants in Monterey County. I recommend the salmon fried rice. Very nice people who always seem to remember you. A little out of the way, but a nice environment - especially good for romantic dinners. Wood walls and sort of dark and moody. Great food. I think they offer a happy hour also. Casual dress is ok. They do not have all of my favorite Thai dishes, but this is Monterey County after all, and super traditional is hard to come by. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I feel it's a little on the pricey side for the size of the portions and how far out of the way it is. It's one of those places I reserve for special occasions.
Review Source:We finally got a chance to stop here and try it out. Â I was pleased with their thai food. Â We ordered 5 spicyness and boy I can't imagine what 10 is like. Â I thought it was HOT!! Â So if its ur first time there, I would ask for mild if you are sensitive to spicy food. Â Also, we love boba so it was a fun dinner.
Review Source:Today was my first visit to Lemongrass and it was delicious. I'm so glad I finally tried it after hearing so many great things about the place. Every Thai place I go I have to try their pad Thai so that's exactly what I did...it didn't disappoint. It tasted fresh and flavorful. For dessert I had the fried bananas with coconut ice cream. An excellent finishing touch to a delicious meal. I can't wait to return to try the other suggested dishes other yelpers have tried.
Review Source:Went to Moss Landing to originally go to Phil's Fish Market, but they were so crowded,we decided to head out to Monterey.
As we drove out of town, I stopped next to the Lemongrass to get directions to the nearest Ciopino place. We noticed another couple curious at their posted specials outside the entrance,so we followed them on the adventure.
Small, quiet, and dimly lit, is what we found. We were greeted by a pretty waitress and quickly found a table for two. The place was sparsely dotted we patrons, I am guessing because of their location, I was about to take a trip of culinary delight!
Residing in Gilroy and limited to the choices of ethnic cuisine. I can only say that The Lemongrass was different than any Thai place I have been to.
We started with the Crab Cakes which were prepared with a Mango Chutney and my only complaint would be that the Chutney could have been saucier, for it was really GOOD!
The main course consisited of Thai Ciopino and the wife had the Seafood platter. She never had Thai food before and I warned her about the spiciness. Please note that 1 is spicy enough for tenderbellies. My Ciopino came at a #5 and it did not dissapoint. The fish was a little too over cooked, but the rest of the ingredients were supurb!
To finish off this yummy meal, we had the Chocolate suffle with a scoop of Coconut ice cream generously on the side.
The overall experience was an 8 on a scale of 1-10, and I would most definitely return.
This is one of my favorite local Thai places. Â The food is so good, but what I love most is the nautical shabby chic ( for lack of better descriptive words) environment. Â They offer many vegetarian items and service is lovely. Â I love to eavesdrop as the locals talk a the bar- Â they add to the eclectic nature of Lemongrass.
Review Source:The boy&I have been meaning to try Lemon Grass Restaurant for awhile because we always see it on our way down the coast. We finally got the chance last weekend, and it didn't disappoint! It may not be THE best Thai food I've ever had, but it's up there! Service is friendly&quick, which was appreciated. I got the Thai Cioppino [it was more like Yellow Seafood Thai Curry] and the boy got Pad See Ew. The Pad See Ew was just okay... not the best, but alright. The Thai Cioppino though... yum! Sooooo worth it. I like how they serve it in a little kettle thing with a fire going so it stays warm (: And they don't skimp out on the seafood either, so yay! We were both super full, and still had leftovers!
So if you're driving down the 1, I'd suggest stopping by (:
I really like this place. Â They have great vegetarian food, very tasty, and many options. Â You can have pretty much anything you want with tofu instead of meat, for example. Â Delish!
I've tried their red curry, panang curry and pad thai. Â More than once. Â I would recommend any of those. Â The panang curry with pumpkin (with tofu instead of shrimp) that is on their "specials" menu is WONDERFUL! Â Order it! Â (If you like pumpkin.) Â I also strongly recommend the appetizer rolls wrapped in the sticky rice paper (can't recall their name at this particular moment). Â If you can handle the texture of the wrapping the rolls are delicious, the vegetables so fresh and crisp, and the dipping sauce is heavenly. Â Be sure to tell them if you want it spicy, the default setting is mild.
Why do I not give them five stars? Â Well, the service is...spotty. Â I've been here for lunch and had wonderful service. Â I've been here for dinner and had slow service. Â I've never known anyone here to be anything other than pleasant, but they are a wee bit slow. Â And occasionally they forget things. Â But they're really nice about it if you're nice about it. Â I've never had any reason to complain about the service, but it is necessary to have some patience if you're going to eat here on a busy night (Friday, Saturday).
You can't beat the setting with a stick, either. Â If you stroll down into Moss Landing after dinner you can visit the otters at the marina. Â Thai food and otters....Does it get any better?
Came here about 1:00pm for lunch. Â Place was pretty much empty except for a group of 4 people. Â
All lunch specials come with soup or salad but our waitress said it was "just" salad today....ok-ayyyy. Â We decided to try the Crispy Calamari ($9.50) which were lightly battered fried squid rings served with a mild sweet chili sauce. Â Yummo...HOWEVER...the portion of 10 pieces were quite sparse. Â This is barely a 2-person app and overpriced for what we got.
The smallish House Salad was fresh mix of iceberg and "froufrou" salad greens lightly drizzled with a tasty pea-nutty, miso dressing. Â
I ordered Seafood Green Curry ($9.95). Â The shrimp/scallop/calamari/mussel were very fresh and "sweet.". It was accompanied by a generous serving of steamed jasmine rice all swimming in a #8 spiciness of green curry sauce. Â Once again a little skimpy on portion size esp. with the ONE small mussel I got.
Dining companion ordered a special Three Flavored Fish ($10.95). Â She said the lightly crispy fish filet with Thai 3-flavor sauce was satisfying in flavor, slightly sweet and salty, served also with a heaping portion of jasmine steam rice. Â Normally a "left-over" person she manage to finish her plate.
DRUM ROLL....better than average service from the wait staff...prummmm...tasty and borderline exotic flavors....thuuumppp...BUT somewhat lacking in portion size EXCEPT for the rice! Â
Will probably give them another try to up it up a star...hope to give them that if they ante up a little on the portion size.
Staff was fine. Food tasted good, but not great  Priced more then my favorite Thai place in downtown Palo Alto.
The problem: hygiene, i guess. I don't know what ended up in my food but I had to leave it by the road side on 17. :(
Puke away $40 is kind of not what you go to restaurant for...
May be it was just one off (that's why 2 stars - benefit of a doubt), but I'm not going to take my chance again.
I love coming here to eat when I get the chance. Â I like the sweet flavors of Thai food and find the food here very delicious. My favorite entree here is the pad thai which is thin pasta with eggs, chicken, some vegetables mixed with a peanut sauce. Â Yummy!!! Â I also love the Thai iced tea here. Â The restaurant is small yet cozy. Â It is very intimate and a great one for dates. Â Quite a few times, my boyfriend has taken me here for dinner.
Review Source:We wanted to find a good place in moss Landing for our large family. We had reservations here. And as soon as we took on stand into the tiny restaurant. And very angry asian woman came screaming at my sister. Saying she called for the past two days to confirm for we did not answer. My sister explains that we are near the coast & she did not receive any calls, due to low reception on her cell. The angry asian woman continue to scream saying that she tried calling. We told her if she doesnt want our business we can leave. She sat us. We ordered for 25 people...so each table had their own orders. We ordered the normal dishes, Pad Thai, Curry, cod in clay pot, all was good. Â Expect I ordered a side of Sticky Rice, which was NOT Sticky rice...it was regular jasmine rice that we already had a bowl of & compared it...it looked & tasted exactly like each other, expect they put the sticky rice in a plastic baggy. So i returned it & told them that I would just eat the reg. jasmine rice & to please take it off our bill. Our server Nina told me that it was STICKY RICE & grabbed it from me rudely!!!!
But just because the food was decent that is why they deserve the one star. And because of the experience that we encountered. I was walking towards the back to find a cage of birds...& ran into a man, Found out from a man that was there, He happened to be really good friends with the owner. I had asked him if he knew who she was & had said that it is the owner's EX WIFE that was our server. Her name is Nina. I told him She was horrible!!! Very Very rude!!! She made us not to ever want to come back, even if the food was good. Â He agreed she was a horrible person & joked thats why it was his friend EX WIFE. (made me laugh!) But now we see why she acts sooo bitter. She's working at her EX's restaurant!!!! If he ever wants better reviews, get rid of the bitter broad that is ruining his restaurant. The pics are not any of the foods that we saw.
This place offers a great blend of traditional Thai and the seafood of Moss Landing. We have been here a couple times and experienced great food and service on each occasion. Check out the specials on the way in.
The owners are very friendly and are happy to answer any questions. If you like spicy food, just tell them how hot (on a scale of 1-10) you like it.
My family had a great dinner over the weekend. Â Located in a quaint fishing village along Highway 1 is wonderful collection of restaurants, beaches, art galleries, seafood markets and an open-air produce stand. It is also home to one unique dining gem, the Lemon Grass Restaurant. It's weather-beaten facade has graced Highway 1 since 2007 and it's Asian-inspired cuisine has tickled many discerning palettes. The cracked and peeling exterior belies the soft, cheery and fresh decor (and cuisine) awaiting inside. We were waited on by one of the owners and she did an fantastic job. She was very helpful taking us through the menu, all the house favorites and chef's specials.
We started off with the Fried Calamari Appetizer, fresh calamari fried in a thai beer batter sauce, served with a sweet and tangy sauce with ground peanuts. Perfectly cooked and oh so tender! This is a home run of an appetizer -- what a hit!!!
For our entrees, we selected three different dishes and had a family style meal. My mom went with the Seafood Cha Cha Cha - Â a rhythmic dance of prawns, scallops, clams, mussels and calamari stir fried with noodles and a lemongrass chili sauce. We were all fond of this dish but we would have liked to see a few more scallops (we spotted only one lone scallop). All and all, a very sound and pleasing dish. My dad ordered the Thai Chioppino, a Thai style chiopinno with mix of clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops and king crab legs in a yellow curry sauce (spicy). What an excellent and hearty dish. It was kind of spicy so make sure to ask about the heat level of each dish prior to ordering. I choose the Pumpkin Panang Curry, which came highly recommended by our server. I wasn't sure how I'd like the pumpkin with this dish but it really rounded out the flavor and texture of this lovely curry.
Our dishes came served nice and hot. The chiopinno and the curry both came to our table in Thai serving dishes with warming burners, which kept our dishes extra warm all throughout our meal.
Lemongrass has a large selection of traditional Thai dishes, seafood dishes with a Thai slant, specialty thai dishes, classic seafood dishes (oysters, clam chowder, salmon and fish) and beer ($3 beers all day) and wine. They use fresh locally caught fish and seafood from the local waters. The prices are a little higher than most of your typical Thai cafes (average dish is around $15) but you will notice a difference.
Highly recommend!
I have driven by this restaurant many times on my way to Monterey, Â yesterday traffic was backed up from a accident and decided to go to Phills, but it was way too crowded and decided to try the Lemon Grass, Â my wife and I were very glad we did. Â Excellent food and great service from Nina the owner. Â Highly recommended.
Review Source:After driving by the Lemon Grass Restaurant so many times en route to SC/Capitola/Soquel, and since the Lighthouse Grill was closed, we decided to meet my husband there and try it out. Â Â We were glad at that decision, suggested by our daughter of course. Â We ordered items that the staff said were return-customer favorites: Â seafood cha cha cha with brown rice, cioppino with jasmine rice, and seafood pumpkin curry. Â We started with a fried calimari appetizer. Â We were extremely happy with everything we ordered, Â the service and the restaurant's appearance. Â We will return and I will try to remember to ask for a lower spice heat level; I'm anxious to try their fresh salmon and spring rolls.
Review Source:I still love this place! And I love that when I ask for something to be spicy, it is actually really effing spicy! However -
1. I am dismayed that they have added non-Thai foods (like Pho) to the menu. It's like finding an American burger and fries on a French menu, or finding chicken teriyaki on a Chinese menu; it's always something that fills me with foreboding. I'm all for the melting pot of new and delicious foods - but a sudden, dramatic change to the menu like this? It's not good, because it says that the chef/owner is adding things they aren't necessarily good at, and that detracts from the things at which they are good (*cough* the recent addition of bell peppers to what seems like half the menu *cough*)
2. I really, really, really hate the new way they're serving the lunch curries. Rice plunked down on a giant plate and the curry swimming around it. The way they (hopefully) still serve the dinner curries (and used to serve the lunch curries) is much better - rice on a smaller plate, curry in a little boat beside it. That way I can distribute/dish things out to my liking, as well as take my leftovers home/have the leftovers the next day without the rice having sucked up all the delicious sauce.
In my opinion, Lemon Grass is one of the better Thai food places in Monterey Bay Area (Santa Cruz, Monterey, Salinas). Â Â If you eat in the bar you can watch sports, so this is could be the sports bar of Moss Landing, although they might need a bigger screen.
The food can be made spicy on request. Â Typically they will ask you for a 1-10 scale rating. Â I've requested 7 before and it could have been spicier for me, my wife differs. Â So if you really want it hot, request 9 or 10 on the scale. Â If you want it super spicy, say; 'make it like you would eat it, only hotter' then laugh deeply.
One bad part is the wait staff is not always very professional. Â Typically they are either family or very part time. Â It is not always real easy to find good wait staff in Moss Landing, so you kind of need to give them a break here. Â The guy that runs the bar could use cleaner clothes, his apron needs a cleaning real bad. Â The lady who owns the place is from Bangkok and very nice. Â
Favorite dishes (will update)
- Â Silver Boat (nice seafood dish in a big foil wrapper)
- Â Mieng Kham (lettuce leaves filled with roasted coconut, roasted peanut, pieces of lime, shallot, ginger and grilled shrimp with sweat sauce on side) - be careful of lime rinds though.
Lemon Grass is one of my favorite herbs with its alluring fragrance. Â Tonight we were pleased to notice this restaurant bearing that name while driving northward through Moss Landing on the way to Santa Cruz. Â This is after a day of driving from LA County the long way through Taft where the oil fields command the landscape. Â So, being desperate for sustenance, we responded quickly to seeing "Lemon Grass", a necessary move on this part of Highway 1.
Baseball game, Rangers vs. Tigers, on the bar TV with locals hanging with the proprietors, and a few customers in varying combinations comfortable in the main room near the bar. Â Cozy atmosphere. Â My recollection was that for many years this spot was a beach bar sporting live music.
Finding the one dish with crystal noodles (bean threads) on the menu took a few minutes. Â It was described with vegetables. Â Good. Â Rice noodle dishes are usual on a Thai menu, but bean (mung bean) noodles sustain my body chemistry. Â Choose the noodles, then choose the protein; in my case, soft tofu. Â Then choose the degree of hotness on a 1 to 10 scale. Â This where I balk. Â What does that scale really mean? Â For noodles, I prefer to add chilis or any other Asian condiments at the table. Â The other possibility is to offer fresh chilis
Panang curry for my husband was a straightforward choice. Choose the curry, then choose the protein. Â For him, it was shrimp. Â Then it's that heat scale, again. Â When in doubt, choose the mid-point. Â Very good curry sauce which I added to invigorate my soft tofu. Â
The food was presented well. Â After all that, the shrimp was not the freshest. Â The curry sauce, in many places, masks the lack of freshness in the protein, sadly. Â That lack of freshness can be very difficult to detect for many diners.
At Moss Landing, close to the Pacific Ocean, not having the freshest seafood can be disconcerting.
Wow! Best Thai food I have ever had! I got the sizzling beef on a bed of fresh veggies, and it was great! My friend had the just caught wild salmon and he said it was very tasty. I also ordered the som tum which is papaya salad, my only complaint is, they used overly cooked peanuts so it got a little bitter there, but if you chuck out the peanuts, it was fine. Almost a hole in a wall looking place from the outside, but the inside was very nice. Small entryway but great "outdoor" seating. When you check the outdoor area, you'll get what I mean. The women's bathroom was kept clean and looks cute as well.
The staff were very nice, polite, and friendly. Two waitresses keep checking up on us, to make sure we had water, and it was dinner time with about 7 other groups of people that were being served as well.
OK, took the Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day on Saturday (a day early). If you've never had the Thai version of cioppino (and I'll bet you never have), you'll never miss the Italian version EVER AGAIN. WOW, crab, scallops, shrimp, the whole nine yards - with a KICK.
Wait staff remembered us from our first visit -excellent service then and today. Still gotta go back and try everything on the menu. I think I've found Thai heaven.
The BEST, 10 stars!
Definitely a date night restaurant and not a 'hmmm I'm in the mood for some really good Thai food' restaurant. The prices are a little over $10.00 a plate, very nice presentation. But like my boyfriend said after he finished his fried rice, 'was that the appetizer?' Â You don't get much for the price.
I got the Thai Pad Noodles, which wasn't what I was expecting but I think it's because I ordered the wrong thing (opps, it happens).
The dessert I ordered was the fried bananas with coconut ice cream. Very good :) Â
If your in Moss Landing, wanting to go to a nice restaurant (Thai food or not, because they have other entrees as well, like seafood and steak) then definitely go here. The presentation is beautiful and the food is tasty. Don't forget a dessert!
I love the menu here. There's a lot of room to make new dishes out of the same basic style. Basically you order a style of dish you want (drunken noodles for instance) but you can decide what kind of meat/meat substance you'd like with it. The plates are large and are beautifully plated. Best of all, you can choose how spicy you want your dish from a scale of 1-10. I always get incredulous looks when I tell them I want it at a 9. I'm stronger than I look! Okay?
The wait staff is very friendly. These folk have been doing this a while and are comfortable with their business. It makes me feel comfortable and at home. The place itself is nice and quiet without sounding completely dead.
Make sure to try something with seafood at this place. The fish has to travel all the way across the street to get to the restaurant. That's freshness you can't mess with.
Stop in sometime when you're headed south. It is a great little lunch place just off of Highway 1 in Moss Landing. If you blink you'll miss it.
This is one of the Best Thai restaurants not just in Monterey area but around, period! Â We love Thai food and everywhere we travel we seek out and try the Thai cuisine. Â Lemongrass is way up there. Â Some of our favorites are the Chicken Satay, Crab Cake Curry, Spring Rolls, Yellow Curry Chicken and Mango Lobster. Â
We were recently eloped in Moss Landing and without question, knew we wanted to have our reception at the Lemongrass and introduce the handful of guests we had to the wonderful and creative dishes found there. Â Everyone left very happy.
We will continue to find every opportunity to enjoy a good meal there.
Dinner last night was excellent. Except for a service glitch here & there (multiple servers, some of whom tried to take food away a bit quickly or didn't know which table ordered what), it was a five star experience. Great food, warm setting. I had spicy seafood fried rice (they made it with brown rice, at my request). Excellent, Â plentiful. My date had curried fish. We split a pot of tom kha soup with tofu. Outstanding! Very flavorful yet light, loaded with veggies & tofu. The fresh coconut juice was very refreshing, too. Good beer selection. Note: one women's restroom & one unisex--have to go outside to get to them.
I'll be back!
Got the pad thai noodles with chicken and spring rolls with some of that liquid crack: Thai Coffee.
Everything was good and the service was excellent as well.
Even though a big party of 8 came in and ordered before me I got my food first so that was cool.
The pad thai was just spicy enough as well and just tasted fresh so all in all this joint is one I would return to.
Preliminary 4 stars...
Every time I passed by this place I always thought "need to try it out" well after a few years of thinking that same thought practically every weekend I go to visit my dad I FINALLY put on the left blinker coming back from Monterey... boy I am sure glad that I did.
This place looks like it should be an American seafood restaurant with its rustic sea breeze like charm (wood everywhere, open windows and great natural lighting). It is a seafood place.. but a thai one. Â
What makes this place unique is there use of the ships down the street and using fresh product *literally*. When going in there were some beautiful photographs of local spots, the ocean and huge windows. Their bar is a full one with around a dozen beers and numerous types of alcohol (including local wine). Since it was my first time here, I got what I use to determine if I like the place: green curry and pad see ew.
The veggie green curry had a nice kick to it without over powering the veggies. They also included eggplant which was a nice change. Their carrots were made into a flower pattern (nice presentation). Overall for the eight bucks I paid for it I was happy.
The beef pad see ew was delicious.... By far one of the better ones I have had in a while....
The two dishes alone were 21 bucks (including tax)
This is a great place to pit stop along the one... I am kicking myself in the arse for not going here sooner! They also have seafood chowder and some other nom nom noms that I want to try... Highly recommend!
This place is SO SO SO good. I had dinner there last night and we split 4 dishes, and ALL of them were incredible.
Our server recommended the ribs and they came out on a sizzling platter with vegetables and smelled divine. I'm not a big ribs fan, but my guests are, and they couldn't get enough. I broke down and had a bite and it was rich and flavorful and tender. There was this sauce on the side that I wanted drizzle on everything. We also had drunken noodles and those were so-so, a duck special that was AMAZING, and the yellow curry that was mild and sweet and DELICIOUS. The veggies with everything were not overcooked and plentiful.
I saw they had a full bar (YAY!) but I wasn't in the mood and just had a coconut juice. It was perfect... Â tall and cold and full of fresh coconut slices.
I loved the presentation, the service, the flavors.... Â and it was fairly priced.
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. So nice to have a fresh take on Thai food using local fresh fish. Definitely worth a trip, but very easy to miss the exit on the HWY so location isn't the best.
Beautiful Presentations! Appetizer was great, main dishes were different and full of flavor, and desert was amazing!
Will make this a 'usual' for us!
My family met for a weekend in Moss Landing and this restaurant was next to the property managment office. We were hungry and decided to try some Thai food.
I haven't had much experience with Thai food so along with most of my family so we trusted my sister who eats Thai a lot. The Hostess/Waitress was very friendly and tried to answer our questions.
I had the Friendly Four and it was delicious, my Sister-in-law had the calamari sandwich and she gave me a bite; it was wonderful.
Our whole family of seven was very pleased with the Lemongrass restaurant. When we come back we will eat there.
After glowing reviews from several friends, I finally had the chance to try Lemongrass a few weeks back. My coworkers and I had lunch here before a meeting, and while it's a little out of the way in Moss Landing, Lemongrass just might be worth the extra trip if our lunch here was any indication.
We started with the fried sweet potato cakes--they were pretty good, but I suspect the corn fritters would have been a better choice. I had the mango curry chicken, which was quite tasty. The red curry had just the right amount of spice to complement the sweet mango. My friends also enjoyed their meals, in fact one was so impressed she promised to bring her mother here on a dedicated trip from San Jose. The one minus for me was the Thai iced tea--it didn't have the right balance of tea, spices and milk for my tastes.
If it weren't so out of the way, I'd probably dine at Lemongrass more often. But it's definitely a place to keep in mind for a good bite to eat on the way to Santa Cruz.
This place is swell. Our visit began with an offer of $3 cocktails for happy hour--and it was 6:30 pm! On a Saturday!
Mojito, margarita & mai tai were the choices--my mojito & Mom's mai tai were both delicious and suitably fortified with booze.
The red curry with chicken and mango was rich and complex--and the mango was an inspired addition to a familiar (and well executed) dish. The Three-flavored fish had a sweet, hot, tangy sauce--red chili sauce with two other flavors, I suspect. And the pad Thai special had shrimp AND chicken AND tofu, tangled up in noodles of just the right consistency.
Service was warm and friendly, the food came out fast. All in all a welcome alternative to the (still very appealing) Moss Landing favorites of Phil's and Sea Harvest. And I want the details on the happy hour.
