One of the better bars in Montgomery. Depending on which direction you approach from, it's either up an alley or in the back corner of a parking lot. I first stumbled on it by accident looking for some other place. The interior is cool, older, and dimly lit. It's a long, narrow bar with seating on either the bar or wall side. The crowd has it's share of hipsters but it isn't obnoxious. There's also a covered/fenced patio area in the back.
They have a wall full of taps and a nice, descriptive beer menu for your reviewing pleasure if you're like me and need a minute to decide. Beer prices can range from the fair to the ridiculous. The offerings are not strictly limited to beer and they have a good variety of drinks. A couple of weeks ago one of the specials was Fernet Branca, which almost certainly isn't trumpeted on any other menu in Montgomery.
Overall a nice place and a much better scene than the downtown bars. On a crowded night it can be hard to find a spot at the bar and the narrow passage makes it a little tough to navigate, but that's really the only (slightly) negative thing I can say.
