Probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Great food, awesome service and a nice atmosphere. The bar is always great with, once again, awesome service. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal locally. From the salad bar to the sandwiches to the amazing steaks, food is great. I cannot emphasize that enough!

A local favorite. Friendly service. A fantastic salad bar, which you never see anymore. The husband lives the surf and turf. My favorite is the chicken oscar. Shrimp Scampi is good, too. Salad bar is the best and comes with every meal.

Went here for a rehearsal dinner, so we had a prixe fixed menu.  I tried hiding the "Petite" part of Petite Filet on my menu but the waitress noticed, so plus one for her ;p  Anyways this place was more than fine my rare steak was the right temperature and the meat was definitely a good cut.  I think the food at the Library II in Voorhees is better/classier but I actually liked the lighting in the Library IV better because you can, you know, ACTUALLY SEE inside of this one.  Anyways that's my 2 cents, worth a stop if you're in W Township.

This place was a pretty solid steak house.  I will always be a What's Your Beef loyalist in Rumson, NJ, but this placed did a decent job in my opinion.
I had a 10 oz sirloin steak and it was perfectly rare.  The side choices are a baked potato or rice - nothing else.  You can get mushrooms, and other veggies for an extra $3 or so...
Everyone makes a big to do about the salad bar...it's a salad bar folks...nothing special at all.
I'm fine with a rice side, but usually it's a pilaf or something, this was straight white rice.  A little bland and junior considering people are spending $39 on steak and tail, right?
The wine selection, though small, had an unbelieveably low mark up rate...two bottles of wine were like $30/piece...every steakhouse I've been to starts at like...$60.
Service was very good...it was crowded and pretty noisy but so we were.  The decor was ghastly...I mean, I get what they are trying to do but dear lord.

So I'll be honest. We were driving through and this place happened to sound cool - that was our basis for choosing this spot. All 6 of us were starving and figured we couldn't go wrong with a place that was gutsy enough to be called... The Library!

The decor of the place is pretty much a library (shocking, right?) with a live band in the front and lots of seating in the back. The hostess sits you and the waiter comes to take your drink orders. Then... you walk to the back... look at the giant menu on the wall... and order... by yourself, without any supervision... to the cook standing in front of the kitchen window.

This is the stupidest concept I've ever heard. Fast food or restaurant? Seems like The Library couldn't quite decide.

If you order an entree (~$15-30), you get a free unlimited salad bar. Unfortunately, we did not know this, and the two kids that ordered just appetizers got charged $9 for some fricking lettuce and tomatoes.

I had some marsala chicken thing that I can't even remember because I forgot about it as soon as I went home. Dry, dry, dry, and super itty bitty! The rest of the group had pretty similar experiences with their meal - it just wasn't up to par with uh, normal food.

This is one library you should not CHECK OUT. Whomp.

Eh, this place is mediocre at best.

The concept is suppose to be cool but isn't executed as well as you'd think. The place is decent since it's in the a rural area and not much else is around.

I really don't believe there's any point to the way the ordering system is done. Your waiter takes your drinks and then you take a piece of paper on your table to an ordering window and the menu is written on the wall. If it's suppose to be a novelty it's a bad one. If you come in with a group like we did, ordering can be a bit of a hassle. The salad bar is pretty decent.

The Library is an excellent place to get a nice steak and/or seafood dish.  The atmosphere is great, old books all over the walls, making you feel like you just stepped into a secret book club.

Ordering is interesting, and slightly confusing for first timers.  After you are seated, you're handed a slip to take up to the ordering window.  You must then make your way up to the window where the guy in the kitchen will write down your order.  There's a huge menu on the wall to make your decision with.  (mostly seafood and steak...all american favorites).  Once you've ordered, you may then indulge yourself with a long salad bar full of cold yummy stuff...kudos to the salad plates in ice!...and end it with a nice assortment of breads.

My appetizer of potato skins was not all that fancy, but good.  Our entrees were delicious, however, something should be said about their presentation, or the lackthereof.  I could tell this restaurant has been around for a few decades, and it appears that their plates and silverware have been too.  I've had nicer, whiter looking plates at TGI Fridays.  I understand the whole point to the vintage feel, so how's about a vintage price on that steak then?

My waitress was something you'd see in a diner.  I dont normally judge people by how they look, but she acted that way too.  When asked for a SoCo with lime, she replied "Oh, people dont normally get that with lime." when asked for an appletini, she replied "Oh, that doesnt come by the glass..."  She was super inattentive and needed an attitude adjustment.

Last but not least, dessert was great.  Wine list was small, not a whole lot of options for white wines by the glass. (I know, I know...I drink white wine with steak...I'll take a slap on the wrist for bad taste)  They do offer mixed drinks as well, which is a plus.

Now, the reasons why this place didnt get 5 stars is: food presentation, plates & silverware, and the wait staff.
